HI - If you are a fan of Old Time Radio, check out my channel, I am uploading the entire series of CBS Radio Mystery Theater, some with original commercials and newscasts. Enjoy!
Love listening to these old shows from the Shadow, especially turn out all the lights and listen in the dark. Love'em! Chowderhead, go to Ebay, you can find CD's radio stories for sale from time to time. You can sometimes find them on cassette at Barnes and Noble in front where audio books are, Books A Million also might have'em if there's any stores left open. Google Radio Archives and you can find them on CD.
I LOVE old time radio! I started getting into it when I was 14 and my uncle brought me a copy of "The Shadow-Nursery Rhyme murders" to listen to. It got me hooked...I am a SUPER huge fan, have a ton of these broadcasts in my home, and I can never get enough of these awesome stories, be it the Shadow, Suspense, Life of Riley, the Green Hornet, whatever! I totally think these are so much better than 90% of TV today, IMO. I listen to these all the time, in the car, at home, etc..& I just LOVE IT!
@numo97 yes, aren't these old shows great? Congrats to you for getting into REAL entertainment! How'd you get hooked into them? If you like the Shadow, don't forget to check out other titles like The Green Hornet, Suspense! (the 2nd show I was introduced to), Lights Out (which is horror), The Whistler, The Mysterious Traveler, Inner Sanctum (also horror), Superman, The Boston Blackie, and many more. They are wonderful!
