Wasn't a huge fan of the Cam newton pick. But besides that I'm pretty happy about our draft. Brandon Hogan was a steal and I have high hopes for Kealoha Pilares. But to take cam when we have a number of talented QBs on the roster, dumb.

He is innacurate, has character concerns and has had everything in college ball spoon fed to him. He never had to recognize a defense and audible out of it. His audible in college was "first reads not oopen. run cam run!" thats not going to cut it in this league.

Moore has shown potential. The 9ers, the end of 09, 07. He has the talent to lead the team

@oar13 It was 2003 but I like the point you're making lol. I think it'll take a few seasons but its definitley a possibility with the strong core we have in tact. If our young players can continue to develop at the rate they are then we can be strong.

im on the newton bandwagon, but this vid reminds me that albeit they were few and far between clausen did show some flashes and made some impressive throws. I wouldnt mind drafting green and giving clausen another shot with a vet to show him the "ropes". I mean he was dreadful but was thrown into a shit situation. lame duck coach, two rookie receivers, constantly shuffled oline. but he did fumble nine times also. AHHH! Cam or green and be in play next year for lUck, Jones, or Barkley .

One pass down the field every 3 games doesnt make up for the constant check downs, dropping at the first sense of pressure and missing wide open receivers. Can he get better? Sure. Especially with the great coaching staff we've put together. Him or Moore will start next season (more than likely itll be Matt) and he'll get a chance to do what he should have done from the start, watch.
@xxxmasterfootballxxx I wont be pissed but I would MUCH rather go with a safer pick that would turn our defense into a great one with Peterson or Dareus. Go into the season with Moore and Clausen and see who has improved the most and adapts to the new playbook. I think Moore has the potential to flourish in Chud's new downfield system.
However, Newton does have potential to be great. I just dont know that he'll translate to the NFL as well as others think without working at it.
