Thanks so much for the encouragement you gave me on my vocals, it was sorely needed. I finally recorded myself performing it, there's a new vocal track on it too! i did some crazy solfeg-ing to get it right but I have it down with no pitch correction I made a video response but if you don't see it just check out my channel.
@mmmhhhhmmmmm you know oddly enough, i heard fireflies and i liked it because it was like a pop-ier version of "the postal service" but then it got HUGE and i stopped liking it. thanks so much for watching this vid though and for leaving a comment!
@CjlovesKat hi. thanks for opening with an attack. firstly, i would like to state that it's very difficult to get through a paragraph with terrible grammar. try to fix that. secondly, as i stated i simply "liked" the song. i was not in love with it. then it was everywhere. i stopped liking it because i only mildly enjoyed it in the first place. thanks for at least saying something positive at the end. i would recommend tailoring your comments so you don't come of so....anal.
@CjlovesKat i'm sorry. i found your first sentence to be so tedious to get through, i'm just not going to read the rest. just for the record, english was not my first language but when you go on the attack, you turn yourself into an open target. if you're going to insult someone, at least have the decency to not suck at it.
@etienne214 I'm sure you're not. Sorry you took a simple opinion as an attack. You try to start a pissing contest with your bad grammar as well. lol? Like I said, you misunderstood sarcasm towards the end so my statement still stands, nice cover! crybaby attitude. it's probably the emo hair?
@CjlovesKat i don't think you know what sarcasm means......insulting someone and smiling at the end certainly isn't it. anyway, this conversation is boring me to tears. continue writing if you'd like. i may or may not read your comments depending on how much i like talking to a dumb ass in that moment. clearly no one else likes to listen to you so you enjoy leaving benign and absolutely idiotic comments on youtube.
@etienne214 Not only did I figured out you're a crybaby, you're also a liar lol. So much for not reading my comments, yet you have a witty little statement about everything I've typed. Alsol love also how you seem to think you speak for all the people on youtube. Go ahead keep talking fat emo boy (Asian?) can't tell or your just fat. ;) it's quiet entertaining me with your "harsh words".
@NAB719 hi!! thank you so much for watching and commenting. i'm terrible with tutorials mostly because i change the song every time i play it and i can't teach it that way. if you'd like i can send you the chords but that's the best i can do. thanks so much for watching!!
@thefinalcountdown611 thanks very much for watching and for the awesome comments. i don't have the chords written down anymore but I'm sure if you google for the chords you can find it! hope that helps. thanks again.
This is really good!! This is the best cover that Ive heard of this song, I didn't hear a single mistake...You should find a good violinist, this song would sound even better with one.
@davidlivingston123 thank you very much!!! i actually know several great violinists and other awesome string players! maybe one day i'll be able to make a cover's album. First thing's first though! I need to finish my album and get it out this summer! Thanks so much for watching and for leaving such a great comment!
really good, only thing I would offer constructive critisism for is the high part in the first chorus, but seeing how its a girl singing it on the album kudos :) and kudos for the whole thing
hi thank you for watching!! actually for me, the part i would like to go back and fix is the second pre-chorus!! but alas it's up and it's for the world to see. a performance is a performance and it's up. thanks for watching and for the help!
Good cover. I would like to point out though, you forgot the most important part of The Postal Service: Jimmy Tamborello from DNTEL. If you like The Postal Service so much, you would be insane to not check out Dntel.
As much as I love Ben Gibbard, Jimmy Tamborello was the biggest part of the Postal Service. (You will see this once you listen to Dntel)
thank you very very much!!! i actually learnt this song by ear so no sheet music. have you tried guitar tabs and things like that?? sometimes they have chords written. thanks so much for watching!!!
j'aime bien coheed and cambria! je ne sais pas s'il y a une chanson que je peux jouer avec le piano. quand meme merci d'avoir regarde ma video!!! c'est trop sympa!
The Postal Service is actually Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie) and Jimmy Tamborello (Dntel/James Figurine). Jenny Lewis only contributes vocals on a handful of songs. From the interviews I've read, there's no plans for making another album.
