Haha, not bad for one week of practice by an old timer like yourself :)
Don't rush the tempo, and remember to learn in parts. Don't start all over at the beginning if something goes wrong, instead try to find points in the play where you can easily jump in to. This prevents the problem of the first few notes being perfect, while the further you get the worse the performance becomes! Also, begin with something easier like bach prelude nr.1 (bwv 846).. Excellent beginner piece!
I admire anyone who can tackle an instrument as a hobby. Most people think their ability to learn stops in their twenties. I don't think I made the kind of progress you are making at the piano in your seventies when I studied as a child and I was considered gifted. Keep up the good work and you wil be ripping thru the preludes and fugues like it was the morning paper.
Thanks press on and You tube is a great place to get some lessons like Mr Ron and Lypur...and others...the great thing is I am slow so and at my age I forget easily so I return to the youtube lesons continually....Blessings to you
Wow, that sounds really good! U must be practicing a lot. Thanks for sharing it with us, I kinda felt that 24 was way too late for me to start learning how to play piano, but I guess not:) Good work!
Thank you, I practice almost every day about one or more hours, some days I am there most of the day, just because I enjoy the progress,I use the Hanon exersizes....1, 5,7,8... it is really fun to hear them get smoother....I try never to see anything a hard or impossible...
That was wonderful. Bach can be a challenge for the fingers huh? You do a nice job with fingering and the flow is quite smooth. Keep up the good work. We'll be seeing you as a virtuoso shortly.
Thank you so much, gracias mi amigo,de aquerdo contigo...con violin un milimeter afuera y no hay intonacion.....yes with the violin there is so little room to stay in tune, but I will never give up in either case...thank you for viewing
Thank you so much, at my age I think , if not now, when? There is no time like the present...I do practice several hours a day..I so appreciate your viewing and kind comments .....Steve
I notice that when one hand is playing a melodic line, you move the other hand away from the keyboard (on your lap or just away from it...)... don't do that!
Always keep your hand on the keyboard to be prepared to play!
When you do this, their WILL NOT be an interruption in the tempo.
Thanks Ron I will do that immediately, you are also very correct about warming up with Hanon , I have been learning 1,5, 7,and 8, Thanks for all your help....Things are going well as I practice every day, as long as I inprove...even a little I an muy contento
Good stuff man, I like it!
Not at all bad. Peace!

Hi Steve... I one suggestion!
I notice that when one hand is playing a melodic line, you move the other hand away from the keyboard (on your lap or just away from it...)... don't do that!
Always keep your hand on the keyboard to be prepared to play!
When you do this, their WILL NOT be an interruption in the tempo.
