The fact that Pacmans should not be bedded with moss is bullshit. I KNOW a million idiots will thumbs this down. For one, eco earth shouldnt JUST be used. the Pacman needs a humid area and a dry area. Moss is good, aslong as is half the pacmans size in height. It does NOT matter if it eats it once or twice. Beleive it or not, Pacmans enjoy colour and will not be happy with a bit of mud. In the wild they live in litter substates that could easily be swallowed, and they survive there
It was the Matrix in the background, and my frog would have been about 6 or 7 months old in this video. He's grown about 1/3 bigger since then. They grow fast. (FYI, if you want them big, don't feed them too many insects. Fish + Mice.(and buy a book))
You should of order and ornate instead of brown pac because brown pacmans are just Cranwells pacmans and they arnt usually very good eaters usuall just eat crickets
well it said brown pacman babies.usually they're green and i already know that green pacman frogs eventually turn brown. i was just curious to see what it would look like. they site didnt have any ornates for sale. i wish i could have a cornuta but, we all know how that story plays out... they should be in tomorrow. i got their home setup earlier today.
ya they are just brown ones that get browner. Do you have any experience with pacs? If these are your first be glad you didn't get a cornuta they are pretty much the most advanced form of pacman i have kept them a few different times and am getting back into them and i am still waiting to get some because you need a ton of experience
acceptable substrate for pacman frogs. In my experience coconut husk is more easily digested accidentally than sphagnum moss. Also I use a thermostat with his heating pad to keep the temp at a safe level. So there. Also, learn to spell.
You may or may not have noticed the space on the other side of the cage with no substrate. When feeding smaller size prey I move the frog to the bare side so no moss is ingested, though it usually isnt an issue anyway. It's more rare for them to digest the moss accidentally than the coco fiber, especially if you smash it down in front of them or slip a piece of cardboard or whatever under their chin prior to feeding.
Sir, I have never once through all the unfortunate times my frogs bit a big chunk of moss, and didn't spit it out, see anything get wrapped around their tongues. I wouldn't recommend anyone try this but you would be amazed to see just how much substrate, albeit eco earth (bed-a-beast) or sphagnum moss your frog can eat without getting sick let alone die (except gravel). Just slip a piece of cardboard or something under their chin before feeding and you'll be fine.

I bed my albino cranwelli on moss and put him in a separate tank to feed. He/she doesn't seem to stress out at all from this

The setup is fine. Sphagnum moss is an
acceptable substrate for pacman frogs. In my experience coconut husk is more easily digested accidentally than sphagnum moss. Also I use a thermostat with his heating pad to keep the temp at a safe level. So there. Also, learn to spell.

nathienf is right you should take out the moss and put coco fiber and coco fiber is safe for your frogs to digest while sphagnum moss isn't

But eco earth can be digested it is a lot more dangerous for them to ingest moss, because they can get impactedd and it can wrap around their toungue
