Idk why, after all the hardships of life and just sitting down playing video games to get rid of stress, this opening made me remember the pleasant times I played Persona 3. Some people might call me a nerd but it's nice to escape reality once in awhile to go beat up shadows and save the world once again.
The storyline of Persona 3 is SO LAME compare to the 4th episode. I mean i didn't feel concerned 1sec by it, and i barely laughed a couple of time during the game :/

The combination of post modern-pop music and art style with the deep, dark spirit of the Megaten series was a genious idea and the artistic achivement of the decade. Nowdays games still face many prejuidices, but in the future when people study the story of art will talk about this game.
@DementedPuupy There were many improvements to the combat in P4 (such as physical damage being consolidated to 1 type instead of 3,removing many redundant ailments that only served to clutter up your skills and inventory with remedies, and the ability to control your allies) but besides that P3 is a very solid game. Definitely worth the purchase but be sure to get the FES version if you do buy it.
Yo, do you ever get to control what your characters do in this game?
They keep fucking up my strateigy and killing me, does this ever get fixed in the game? I am at the point right after Fuuka comes on your team. Also, do I get to change who narrarates the battle later? Fuuka's voice actor is so blase it gets on my nerves.
By the way, if I let all the days pass by, is there a special cutscene that shows what happens to the world at the end? (Without spoiling too much, still in June here)
@fries00 Fallout has a perk called "Nerd Rage" in it, people in comments below were raging over stuff. I was pretty much telling them that their raging won't do anything because that Fallout perk doesn't exist in real life.
PS: That artwork sure is really creative, makes me real envious to know that people can be talented enough to draw that. Wish I could draw like that. Song goes pretty well with it but I can't help but appreciate the drawn art.
To the nerds who are/were raging: this isn't Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas. You won't get STR raised to 10 and a +15 damage resistance for your HP falling below 20%. The perk known as, "Nerd Rage" doesn't exist in real life or anywhere outside the Fallout universe. But honestly, rage more please because it's damn entertaining to watch nerds raging out over the net and acting like it matters.

@DJkingkong6661 Pretty much all games from the Shin Megami Tensei franchise are expensive because there aren't a lot of copies sold after their initial release. Persona 3 FES costed me $30.
Persona 3 rocked, but I would have perfered if they got rid of the girl's perspective and added in "the answer" of Persona 3 which shows what happens right after the final battle with Nyx.

When I played P3 for the first time and got on the stage on deciding to fight Nyx, I felt the EPICNESS. No, seriously. You'll get scared enough at the point of being at "Finish-it-quickly-or-you'll-die"-mode on the remaining month. On P4, the last month remaining was totally depressing and exciting too especially when you have to guess the culprit (I got "him/her" in 1 try., 1 guess Dumb luck XD).
So to sum it all up, THEY are EQUAL. (Not including P3 FES's "The Answer" though)
@sasarai95 Persona 4 is especially amazing how they managed to improve on some of the "flaws" in the first game, without destroying anything that made the first one so great. You don't often see Sequels that are as good or even better than their predecesors. So I think, if you only look at the story, they are equal. P3 is a bit more over the top and mindfuck while P4 is more a "classical" Thriller both stories are well executed and engaging with interesting characters.
@Cudgeon I'm not going to lie. I'm extremely amused at the use of "first one" when you're clearly talking about sequels 3 and 4 in a series.
I also, very slightly, disagree about P4's story being well executed. At one point, it's extremely lazy. They want the kids to deal with the problems, which is fine as there wouldn't be a game without it, but to state that the police would never believe them when they could jam an arm through a TV was lazy.

When I played P3 for the first time and got on the stage on deciding to fight Nyx, I felt the EPICNESS. No, seriously. You'll get scared enough at the point of being at "Finish-it-quickly-or-you'll-die"-mode on the remaining month. On P4, the last month remaining was totally depressing and exciting too especially when you have to guess the culprit (I got "him/her" in 1 try., 1 guess Dumb luck XD).
So to sum it all up, THEY are EQUAL. (Not including P3 FES's "The Answer" though)

@sasarai95 Persona 4 is especially amazing how they managed to improve on some of the "flaws" in the first game, without destroying anything that made the first one so great. You don't often see Sequels that are as good or even better than their predecesors. So I think, if you only look at the story, they are equal. P3 is a bit more over the top and mindfuck while P4 is more a "classical" Thriller both stories are well executed and engaging with interesting characters.

They want the kids to deal with the problems, which is fine as there wouldn't be a game without it, but to state that the police would never believe them when they could jam an arm through a TV was lazy.
