Therefore the elephant, which is the symbol for the Republican Party, which tends to block more environmentally friendly legislation, is being mean to the polar bear. Overall it doesnt really have anything to do with a savior or anything, but they took the overall message of the song and showed it in this way

The song’s underlying meaning is that the polar bear (an endangered species, referring to America’s lower class) is in a mosh pit with many other animals (representing the U.S. economy) and the elephant is representing the Republican Party. And in the mosh pit, taking place early in the day, the polar bear is taking one too many elbows and kicks from the elephant. Realizing that he is not welcome there, the polar bear leaves the mosh pit and begins riding the city bus to wherever it is it...
