  • What is the music?

  • Imagine just strollling on the beach and have that skim the top of your head

  • KONY2012

  • A famous St. Maarten beach where people go on purpose to see this all the time... not a crash or near crash.

  • Lose the music

  • all the haters are been a bit harsh, if you pause it at 21 seconds that 747 isnt more than 10 feet above that car, true the plane landed safely and true it isnt crashing but chill the fuck out its an awsome video of an awsome machine landing at an awsome airport. if it was any lower it would have taken the perimeter fence with it down the runway. :)

  • KLM is my country... shame.

  • Normal landing at St. Maarten. -.-

  • Semi In way, me = :D

  • This is a standard landing at that particular airport. Nothing "crashworthy" about it.

  • Every single St. Maarten beach vid i see that little red car?

  • good video, really shocked to see it landing at such low altitude

  • Will idiots quit posting these landings as "Almost crashed" clearly dumbass its a landing even my cat knows that do you need a dose of Common Sense

  • Well... No Becuase At That Airport There is a sign Say "DANGER PLANE LANDING" And There Spose to land like that so Not really....

  • I wish I saw some negative comments before clicking on it, then I wouldn't have clicked on it.

  • about to crash? dude its a routen!! thats how the aircraft land because the runway is to short for any late touchdown!!

  • @Kellyblues where abouts is Ohare? Sounds a bit like Ohio to me

  • Holy Shiznet Batman!!

  • they always land so low

  • Creapy

  • ya, the plane had a really low and dangerous approach. I don't think it should be legal to have a 747 passenger jet land and take off so close to people.

  • Skid marks on top of that tracker!

  • Damn he was low!! That's how low they fly here coming into Ohare

  • Well, normally the plane is a bit higher at approach

  • Stop at 0:21 shows how close the plane is to the people. Scary!

  • He got about a tit hair close on that one

  • There's that red car again.

  • yeahh a KLM from the Netherlands =D

i live in the Netherlands =D

  • im sorry but witch pixel is the plane??

  • its amazing what allah has given us

    Masha'allah!

  • who in the hell would put a sidewalk there?

  • @ArmlessOctopus19 it was there all the time from when america built the airport

  • 💩ed n my pants! Civilians are just as normal. Hello, 'big ass ef'n plane just scratch it belly on the guardrail'

  • @LIONELSMITS I would to lol

  • zat was close und scarey shit

  • I would have thrown a can of Coke.

  • That was me on the bongos

  • holy shit .__.

  • I can't remember if it is singapore or hong kong is supposed to have one of the most dangerous airstrips to land on b/c they have to drop down over a mountain or something? been so long ago I cant remember.

  • @whooleeoh16 Popular Mechanics actually did an article on the most dangerous airports....just google search "popular mechanics airports"

  • They're at that beach for planes engine winds, watch truTV sometime :/

  • Damn that was quite low

  • What calculator didi you use to record? Its dosent look like a HD scientific one, it must be a 320x240 one, please reply becuase i'd like to buy one!

  • LOOL da pilot had lots of weed in the cockpit

  • i would have shit enough bricks to build a house

  • faker than a faggot fucker

    oh wait..nvm

  • I think the people in the red car shit themselves

  • klm sucks big time i hate dutch airline

  • This has the framerate of a rock.

  • prk ils ont mis l aeroport ici

  • WAS THIS RESORED WITH A FUCKING POATEO

  • To me it seemed like he just kissed the roof of the red car to make the smooth landing:D

  • Engineer idiot building a runway like that!

  • by almost crash he's referring to the camera. 10 seconds after this the camera blue screened.

  • name of the song?

  • is that really nessecary. he is gonna feel like an ass when somebody jumps and gets sucked into the engine

  • St. Maarteen is famous for this. It's normal there but a very dangerous airport. This guy was at the fence clinging on daring himself (which is illegal on the fence sign) and blew 30 feet back into the water.

  • I can't believe they allow ppl to be on that road. Surely it's a disaster waiting to happen. This should be a banned area for ppl, imagine the noise as well?

  • A little low but not too far out of the ordinary

  • dude that is so fucking crazy it could have killed pepole if they would have landed at that time

  • that is not a near crash it is normal

  • One guy should of jumped up and touched it! xD

  • And to back this up - here is the same plane, same approach, with about an extra 50 feet over the threshold.

    The following

St. Maarten KLM Boeing 747 landing (1080p)

    shows what I mean

  • For those saying 'this is normal', on this occasion it is not. You approach very low into TNCM but not this low. There is a small section of dis-placement threshold at TNCM, an area of runway that planes can not land in. In this video the 747 touches down in this area, when the very rear fuselage is not over the runway. This is not normal. 50 feet more height wouldn't have compromised the landing in anyway, no matter how heavy the plane was.

  • It amazes me the uploader hasn't got an ad on this video !...

  • it's normal it is an normal approach to Princess Juliana Airport (TNCM)

  • Yea that's pretty much normal. I've been there and tried, like many others, to jump and touch the tires! lol

  • @321Huan they aren't going 350 when they are approaching, there isn't enough runway

  • routine landing folks. that is the normal aprouch at this airport. plenty of youtube vids

  • No almost crash here. Looks like a damn good pilot knew exactly what he was doing.

  • HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • St maarten, ibiza. Routine landing!

  • FAKE!!!!

  • no wonder its klm=)

  • this is far from a crash.....its actually a routine approach into princess juliana international airport

    nothing out of the ordinary

  • @jasperherrick - nonsense - nothing routine about the gear hitting the very end of the runway - he was 10-20 feet too low - any lower and it would have bounced or worse.

  • @kevmed64 the 747s need all the runway so yeah.....it was still far from a crash

  • @jasperherrick wrong...another foot or two and it would be a crash.....not routine and dangerously out of the ordinary......

  • @ThePowerfulMach5 The pilot knows what hes doing it isn't even dangerous! It was about 30 foot over the fence! even though it looked like it was nearly a crash it was far from it. If it was another foot or to it woundn't even be noticable. It would have to be about 25foot or more for it to be a crash. Its an optical illusion it isn't even nearly as low as it looks XD

  • @jasperherrick this would be normal /watch?v=SCIJ0F62og4&feature=fvwrel

  • @jasperherrick Isn't it St. Maarten?

  • @dannydogstar yeah well st maarten is the name of the island

juliana is the name of the airport

  • @jasperherrick XD i was about to coment but i looked for more info so i dont look stupid

  • @jasperherrick Yes its routine to have low approaches here at St Maarten, but this pilot was too low even for St Maarten. if you pause the video when the 747 is over the street, any ute (pickup truck) would have been hit by the tires of the 747 causing an instant accident for the 747 and ute. The pilot was investigated for this incident and cited by the local aviation authority.

Oh and yes, I am a pilot, a PPL.

  • @jasperherrick closer to the floor than usal tho.

  • @jasperherrick Amen. They do these landing and take-offs all day long.

  • @jonbosrocks it's not fake. In addition, when my dad was a young child, he lived near Mumbai international airport m, and every time a 707 took off, it rattled his parents house but he was not phased.

  • this is why id never get on a plane that isnt from america

  • WHY THE HELL ARE THERE TIRE TRACKS ON THE ROOF OF MY CAR?!!!

  • HEY I WAS ON THAT PLANE!!!

  • People, are you completely mad ? This plane was only half meter from the fence and from a catastrofe, if you call this "normal landing", then you abnormal yourselves. Open your eyes, its or fake or an error of the pilot.

  • @321Huan I have flown at St. Maartins. This is the normal VFR approach to land.

  • @weetle2 Thats crazy

  • @weetle2 If you think that flying half meter from the fence and 1 meter from the roof of car is somewhat "normal" then you are crazy too.

Personally i would nor ever fly to such airport, the margin for error 0,5 meter with 350 km\h speed is very risky at least.

  • @321Huan Not really, not a lot would happen apart from the plane would rip the fence down, although I would not like to do the lading my self at the thought of landing on the beach!

  • those engines would be SO loud, EVERYONE would have their hands over their ears and shoulders up and hunched. It would be PAINFUL. Not even the little kid holding mommy's hand is phased by the 4 jet engines 10 feet from his head. Faked Video.

  • @jonbosrocks Don't be a jackalope. Nothing fake here. There's a million videos of the same airport all over youtube.

  • Blasting OVERHEAD {BELLY SIDE} is awesome..check that..↑ watch?v=_O-6WMDbmMg

  • Normal. Don't 'tag' it as more than it is. That was a normal flight/landing. Good try on getting more views though.

  • @welshfyr Your sarcastic comment doesn't change the facts! It is insane, and it is close, too close, to be a real (possible) disaster. I will not fly to that destination because of that unrealistic narrow margin of safety.

  • @welshfyr Over 4 million views is a pretty good number.

  • fucking scary

  • Oh god that was soo close!! They were lucky..

  • Holy shit... another five feet lower and we are talking disaster

  • that was close

  • yea that not a normal landing bc if the car was in the path the plane would take it out it was too low

  • For new and breezy haircut: Jumo on, one, two, three!

  • And the people just stood there while a big ass plane is heading towards them. Damn. I would of been running like hell.

  • @SlyDoggg83 man this comment had me rolling like a mofo you remind me of 1 of my partners

  • It is normal procedure for crosswind at St. Maarten, but i must say it did look like he nearly took out the fence

  • EVERY DAY airplanes ALMOST crash. That is the nature of the beast, so to speak.

  • @StellarBlue1 Nah, Crashes are very unlikely.

  • throw a rock at it

  • @LineEmUpTime8 ya thats a good idea u idiot

  • This 747 landed short of the threshold and almost hit the airport fence with the main landing gear. It was about 75 below the proper glidepath. It was NOT a safe or 'normal' landing. The pavement for the runway begins immediately after the airport fence, but the landing threshold does not begin until 200 feet beyond. Plus, the proper touchdown point is 1000 feet beyond the landing threshold.

  • It's very close to hit the beach o.O

  • It is not the "landing" of the plane thats insane,,, It is the people standing on the beach in the jet wash that are insane.

  • It wasnt almost a fucking crash, that was a normal landing

  • OMG

  • ghehe Dutch airplane yeeeey xD

  • i see it i see it..............DUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's a normal plaine landing @ the island of Sint Maarten you bastard,.....

  • This was on Oops TV 2

  • be a bit nasty if u wa peter crouch it would take his fucking head off

  • holy shit imagine bein in that car

  • i take it you didn't see the thing on discovery channel about the 10 most dangerous airports lol thats normal

  • although this st maarten airport location means all plane landing are close, this is by far the closest i have ever seen.. it looked like he was gonna touch the jeep and the fence, being so close...

  • it's a landing in St. Marteen island, seen it a few times.

  • The kid who was under the plain must be full brick pants of shit

  • this IS one of the lowest landings for st maarten.

  • This is typical at the St Maarten airport. There is a bar at the location where this video was recorded. The bar's speakers are tuned to the tower so you hear the pilot / tower conversations. Pretty neat. Supposedly, if the girls at the bar flash their boobs and the pilot flashes the "headlights" then a round of drinks are free.

  • @jackchief Yeah right! Let's distract the pilots as they land so they can crash and give us something to talk about huh? I don't think there are too many free beers at that bar am I right? lol

  • Sorry, u can hear the engine on another vid.

  • If you listen to the engine right b4 landing you will hear the pilot increase power which means he was way too low. So it was a bad landing and a close call.

  • @stewartaj2000 Exactly. I've seen a number of "dangerous" landing videos at this airport and none were as close to disaster as this one.

  • Yeah, I've seen this location before - it's one of the world's most dangerous airports. NOT an "almost crash landing"; it's routine.

It all has to do with how close to the beach & how short the landing strip is. People actually cling to the fence when planes take off to feel the rush of the jet engine (while trying not to get thrown back several feet).

  • sooo... when does it nearly crash? cmon im 12 and i know this no where near crashes

  • Hes was trying to touch the FENCE

  • and no gust of wind... sigh waste of time

  • This is a normal landing at St. Maarten.

  • @iPurpleSprinklez ive been going for 4 years and i have never seen one that close

  • Which pixel was the plane?

  • @nonameninesix obvisouly the huge ass blue one

  • @nonameninesix Those 3 pixels at the start.

  • @nonameninesix that's not so hard to see is it?? there are only two pixels in the whole vid!

  • @nonameninesix There was a plane in there amongst all those pixels?

  • @nonameninesix ahahahahaha, hilarious

  • I would just stand there and think '' Dude.. wtf..''

  • How is it 'almost crash' when it happens EVERY SINGLE DAY?!

  • Love how the guy in the car waits for the plane to fly directly over him before driving off...

  • Looks like Colonel Stuart is in charge of the landing system at that airport!

  • Trippy music

  • This is a Normal Crosswind Landing at St. Maarten! It's not a Crash!

  • @mksoct1st09 Actually it was a bit lower than usual, he almost hit the fence :-/

  • @mksoct1st09 No but the plane isnt supposed to go THAT low, if the car was 20meters behind to where it was it wouldve hit it.

  • @mldrs89 thats difficult to say with only one obscured view point. the force from the engine alone would have blown the car + - 20 metres anyway so i think its one of those looks closer than it is ones.

  • @DJKloop I don't think so. There is a still photograph of this very same landing taken from the opposite angle at 0:45 in the video "A380 in St. Maarten Dangerous Landings" by GrooveRocker. It is every bit as close as it looks from this angle. There are a couple of airport security people behind the fence and they are squatting as low as they can.

If you look at enough videos of landings here you'll notice that that fence is terribly damaged where the airplanes cross.

  • @jamcrane3 if you watch another video of this, you can see the notice boards on the fence warning of turbulence. people often hang onto the fence as a plane takes off and is almost a local sport to see how long you last. its not the plane damaging the fence, its the power from the turbines doing it, you could be really picky and factor in the sea air corrodes the metal fence aswell. :)

  • @mksoct1st09 Indeed!

  • @mksoct1st09 ive watched a few thousand landings in my time and this would be one of the "closer" to disaster landings

  • No every landing at princess Juliana airport is just like that

  • Doesn't almost crash...

  • filmed on a potatoe ? ......and I looked for some " insanity " but all I saw was a very slick KLM crew doing its thing. Try getting this close to threshold at JFK and see how fast you get arrested for Being a Goat .

  • @tasman763 The refusal to learn is a human curiosity

  • It doesn't "almost crash" you cretin.

  • Hold your f***ing cellphone still

  • Pilot was feeling cocky, showing off his skills ..

  • Duhh..Its Princess Juliana In Saint Martin. The airport is by Maho Beach so that happens almost everyday.

  • Thumbs up If you raped the replay button..

  • you get sucked in by the turbine

  • *insert woman pilot joke here*
