Personally, I haven't had any problems with my 360(no freeze up or scratched disc). Of course, I also have special fans on mine that keep it ice cold. One fans pushes cold air in, while another pushes hot air out. I also have them set up in a way that doesn't void the warranty(Ah, the wonders of basic physics).
