Not MTS for sure. I have LGB pick up magnets to trigger either the bell or horn.

oh ok thanks. i use the mts system, but i still have to use magnets to trigger the sounds. there must be a way to use the remote.

It is a Phoenix Sound System. I know I have two of these trains (Phase III & V). They run great! I like them alot, in fact my name is named after the Phase III loco (Amtrak P42 60).
