I wish there was more interactivity in this game....I didnt get a feeling of accomplishment after I killed each colossus. It was like I killed one and then, move on to the next one and then the next one after that.
thanks for posting this walkthrough.....for anyone who is having trouble getting on top of the colossus, try using bow and arrow through the underside of the BACK feet. Sure there is less area to aim for but I found getting on the colossus was much easier.GOOD LUCK

its not only online to buy it depends on which store you went to if you go to gamestop and ask for shadow of the colossus they have it in the back. They have tons of games that even on N64 and PS still. It amazed me when i knew that.

lets act like they were all completely harmless. The ones which live near a village will inevitable be killed or displaced. Some of the "Cave-Colossi" will be killed for the ressources which lie in the mountain. If you compare them to animals at some point, they WILL have to attack because they feel threatened or humans come into their territory. Then, as you can think, those will be displaced too.
In my opinion only the 4th, the 6th and the 11th have a real chance to survive. ;)
It's not like colossi are weak; they can defend themselves against the few crazies who'd try to kill them. Also, you act like it's human nature to kill these things, but what about the protected species list? Or national parks? Both examples of humanity's desire to preserve nature's creatures. Sure we killed the dodo and some other species, but it was before we realized what we were doing.

People are averse to sharks because they can be dangerous. Great White, Bull, Tiger, and Bull sharks attack unprovoked. Granted, these are the only common unprovoked-attackers, but still, dangerous. Also, shark population isn't limited; colossi are unique

i think the best thing about hese videos is the guy doesnt know what he's doing. just makes it so much more cinematic and epic. greater than the experts who clear it in 30 seconds

Nice battle. ;) This is one of my favorite games ever. I love every aspect of it, from the complex and mysterious back-story, to riding the horse, to jumping on the colossus' backs and holding on for dear life. I love each and every battle and the music is just perfect. My favorite screen shot would have to be during the last battle, when Wander finally makes it to the top of Malus and climbs up onto his right hand, and when you stab it, he holds it up and stares right at you... best shot ever.

And then we have the self-righteous cultists who trigger the crisis in the first place. The colossi are the only good guys in the game. Even the main character is a little nitwit, setting hell loose and clearing out the colossi just to save his dead girlfriend. At least he (sort of) gets his in the end.

Well there are only 16 enemies in the game, but some really require a lot of though to figure out how to take them down. you have to be strategic sometimes. There is one for example that chases you in the sand, and you have to try to shoot it in the eyes so it'll crash, before you can reach it's weakpont
A friend let me borrow it and said when I got the money I could buy it from him. One day he said he wanted to play it so I let him. Next day I have the money and he says he gave it to his cousin because he owed him.
I could relate this game series to the movie "Cloverfield" In that the creators were always trying something different and unique to make a good game/movie, but this is a lot better than Cloverfield =P

I once just rode Agro for 2+hours, in complete silence, just wandering, trying to find secrets and stuff.
I'm up in arms about the film......on the one hand, you have what could be some stunning sequences if they use this story, soundtrack and camera angle....
on the other hand, you have the chance that they don't "adapt it" and add some lame unrelated story.
I mean, the writer of Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li is attached to write it.....
It could be a fantastic film, if done properly. I actually see it as more of an art-house type film, rather than a big action blockbuster. It's epic, but in a subtle way. They need someone like Ang Lee to direct it.
Heaven forbid they try to make a mess of it. Let's just pray...
Im pretty sure this game does work on PS3 only on the 60GB Model i think or was it the 40GB one eother way it WILL NOT work on the 80GB model coz the function to play ps2 games on it was removed... which is a bitch only found that out the day i bought one.
I doubt it. The style of game will be the same but they've never made a direct sequel of a game. My guess is it'll be in the same world with the same art style but it will have very little to do with Ico or SoTC.
And it had better be vague too like in SoTC and Ico.
I really didn't know SoTC was related to Ico until the final moments of the epilogue, which in my opinion is absolutely amazing.
Twists such as that really catch players off guard and are very difficult to pull off, but if done correctly, really add a sense of uniqueness to the story and foundation of game play.
Regardless, I'm sure the next one will be great, definitely not the same I'm sure.

anyways,this game is now a 16 bucks offer at amazon,so ,i just sold mah wii to get a ps3 to play this,ratchet and clank a crack in time,pes 10,uncharted 2,LBP,god of war collection and i hope to play the next team Ico game:The Last Guardian

I once just rode Agro for 2+hours, in complete silence, just wandering, trying to find secrets and stuff.
I'm up in arms about the film......on the one hand, you have what could be some stunning sequences if they use this story, soundtrack and camera angle....
on the other hand, you have the chance that they don't "adapt it" and add some lame unrelated story.
I mean, the writer of Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li is attached to write it.....

It could be a fantastic film, if done properly. I actually see it as more of an art-house type film, rather than a big action blockbuster. It's epic, but in a subtle way. They need someone like Ang Lee to direct it.
Heaven forbid they try to make a mess of it. Let's just pray...

Im pretty sure this game does work on PS3 only on the 60GB Model i think or was it the 40GB one eother way it WILL NOT work on the 80GB model coz the function to play ps2 games on it was removed... which is a bitch only found that out the day i bought one.

I doubt it. The style of game will be the same but they've never made a direct sequel of a game. My guess is it'll be in the same world with the same art style but it will have very little to do with Ico or SoTC.

Same art style (except HD now) but with fresh different gameplay.
Proabably SOME co-operative element.

And it had better be vague too like in SoTC and Ico.
I really didn't know SoTC was related to Ico until the final moments of the epilogue, which in my opinion is absolutely amazing.
Twists such as that really catch players off guard and are very difficult to pull off, but if done correctly, really add a sense of uniqueness to the story and foundation of game play.
Regardless, I'm sure the next one will be great, definitely not the same I'm sure.

Next game should be a total departure, so don't expect more scaling of giant beast.
The guy who makes it thinks sequels that don't reinvent are lazy, and he has many ideas to try.
I am excited, put Febrary or March in your diaries. And not for Killzone 2 and Resdent Evil 5 either!

Just wait a little while.
The sequel won't be called Shadow of the Colossus 2, but it will be a sequel in the same universe.
I have my bets on Febraury next year it beign rebvealed an annoucned, they are defintely working on the PS3 and it will defintely be annoucned soon.

ICo their first game is the same universe as Shadow of the Colossus. But the game doesn't specify anything other than that.
Which is beautiful and part of what makes it so interactive. The fact that the story is left up to interpretation.
It's deep, but only becuase you playign the game made it deep, and the aesthetic and gameplay is usperb too.
I love the horse riding as much as climbing and taking down the Colossi.
