'kay, I was on the train coming home from my first day at good ol' St. Ignatius, when it stopped just after it left the station. Kids all over the train were calling their parents and crying about the tornado that was passing over our train.
That was an awesome storm. Great cloud structure and very intense winds.
Holy shit thank you for posting that, in the very beggining you can see an orange line train move out of frame. I was on that train when the construction site blew apart, debris sturck the train and broke one of the windows [i took a picture] it was a wild ride!
Yeah. Straight-line winds can easily be confused with tornado winds since most tornadoes are not EF4/F4 or above. So can the damage to the untrained eye.
Strait-line winds severe thunderstorms are just as dangerous as most tornadoes. Unfortunately, severe thunderstorm warnings are taken less seriously than tornado warnings.
its refreshing to see people in buildings on the 2nd floor or higher take the necessary precautionary steps in order to preserve lives during a tornado. So what happens when the thing swipes right into the side of the building and the windows shatter and glass flying at 200 mph is shot through you like bullets?

That wasn't a tornado. Clouds can hang that low to look like a tornado. But, I was scared during that storm.

Actually, it was later confirmed a microburst, not an actual tornado.
