have you thought about buying body building powder?? it contains around 1250 cals per serving and you can mix it with water if you need to keep cals coming in to your body it's not a bad idea..no?
Wow. You have a lot of "prepared" foods there. Hormels dinners, canned tuna, canned chicken, canned chilli- these are ALL loaded with salt. It will surprise you how much. Currently stated RDA of salt is 2400 mg , however that has recently been stated as being too high by 30%. I try to limit my salt intake to 1700 mg or less. One can of chilli I saw on the store shelf had near 3000 mg. Always read "Number of servings" and multiply by Mg / serving
You sound young, so let me- an old prepper- tell you this: Beware of the Ramen / Yakisoba stuff: It's very high salt content. When you develop high blood pressure, you'll be reading those food labels close. Canned soup: make sure it's "Healthy Choice" or "reduced sodium". For Ramen , I toss the seasoning pack, use low-salt boullion cubes.
what you planning to do when they expires? because they are too much to eat before every expiration date. would you still eat it if its 8yr after expiration date?
@bluedrangon69 I constantly rotate it. So we never have any old stuff. If Im not able to finish something before I donate it. A lot of places appreciate it and can use it.
Also, consider stocking long life foods, such as the freeze dried foods and MREs. I'm considering giving up on stocking canned goods and stock only buckets of Wise freeze dried foods. You can buy either a 56 packet count or 60 packet count bucket for $99. The 56 count has packets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while the 60 count only has lunch and dinner packets. Most reviews on YT for this brand are positive. I'll also stock Sure-Pak MREs for consumption in the house and my B.O.B.s.
@EquipaPatriot Go check out my other food storage videos. This is just the pantry- filled with short term, unmonotonous foods . It doesnt include any long term food storage. I have over 40 videos dedicated to prepping I think you would enjoy. They are in my preparedness playlist.
I'm a prepper. I have a growing collection of food and water. The one thing I've learned and must pass on to you as advice is, stay away from foods that have high fructose corn syrup and Aspartame (a.k.a. Sucralose) in their ingredients. These are poisons. Also, try to stock food that has less than 4 lines of ingredients and those ingredients are natural ones - not man made. Health is very important once society breaks down, so eating foods that are of mostly man made ingred. won't help.
What are the expiration dates on all those items. I have checked canned ham, spam, canned chicken and have found that they only have about a 1 year shelf life. Wouldn't you need it to last longer than 1 year?
@AmericanMade72 This room is more or less my short term food storage. Its food my family eats or cooks with regularly. The longest shelf life items in here are to 2015. The shortest are till 2012. Check out my long term food storage videos. They will show you stuff that last 30 years or so. Thanks for watching!
The spam we are buying right now has 2014 exp dates the canned turkey and chicken has 2014 also from sams club
We use 1 can of spam every week anyway so rotation is best Note-fry your spam sliced thin in just a little oil and spoon of brown sugar in oil tastes great.
@SturmKorps I have lot more than this. This is basically short term foods for me. I also have a bunch of my own canned food, staples in buckets, and freeze dried food stockpile. Thanks for watching!
@GulfCoastJaguarundi I do can. I usually kept all my canned food in a cupboard so no light touches it. Ill do a video on it in the future. Thanks for watching!
@LegendSexy just wondering because i hear Caucasian folks tell people they are American when asked what they are,but everybody else is either black,Chinese, Hispanic in America, i just found that odd that they do that because i am native American and to us we are American and everybody else is white,Hispanic,Chinese, ect.. i wouldn't say that all white folks say that but for the most part that's what i hear them say.
@shinnecockwarrior My skin might be brown but I definitely consider myself American. Im proud of my family and heritage but I live in America. I was born here. So thats what I am.
CHIP RACK AT 3:09 FOLKS!!! You are not fo real preppin untill you have the chip rack!!! The guy has more junk food than Willy Wonka yet he's still a lean mean karate machine......flippin Mexicans! LOL
If SHTF and a little 19year old blonde chick comes knocking, do not let her in. It will be my daughter and she is only after those Spaghettios. Fair Warning.
i like the chip rack ..haha ..you got some stuff i dont, or have'nt seen before..like canned salsa, blueberrys , turkey ..hmmm ..
-ghetto cooking tip i do... just take a soup can , mix in some rice/pasta, water/broth,spices , and any other scraps or veggies i got .. it can at least triple a can soup size, can get a bit watered down but not bad.
@slimnskinny It can be if thats all you eat. Fortunately, this is only about a quarter of my food. I eat a balanced diet. Everything in moderation is really how my diet is.
