@RC62 I doubt it. I think it is because of the Harley's that make alot of noise and they have a tendency to rev the motors in the garage....just guessing tho.
woohoo! home! although I really wasnt a huge fan of kemah after it got super built up like that... oh well.. there is a nice steak/burger place a little down from there... but its all good.
@Wilks89 Yes and no, I think in order to rebuild close to the coast the insurance companies demand that certain guidelines be followed. Each community has it's own building codes (pressured from insurance lobbyists).
Nice tour. Is that Kemah area mostly new since Ike?
dprider02 3 weeks ago
@dprider02 No, it was really big before Ike. Most of it is being rebuilt.

Watch for Alligators...oh and snakes too....lol. That parking garage was crap anyway but the area made up for it with the sign at the end.

@RedanWhiteRebel Lots of critters around that area!

@bakker46 I think tons of loud Harleys rev their motors in the garage.

Nice place, I'm not sure about that rollercoaster, looks rickety. The sign at the end is a classic :)
gogosor 1 month ago
@gogosor it looks rickety but it's pretty new. inner steel structure I think.

That area looks real nice. I enjoy places like those. And wooden rollercoaster...man I love those.

@ToastToGo It used to be really nice and quaint, now it's just a big tourist trap. Progress I suppose.

@KeukaRyder Yea I do too! :D
It was warm enough but very windy. I like the area but it has gotten to be too touristy..too many people.

@todkapuz Yea it used to be a popular place for motorcyclists to go, but Landry's is not motorcycle friendly. Are ya talking about T-Bone Toms? haha

Looks like they have the same building restrictions / height requirements that we have here in MS now, since Katrina.
