That is an amazing rich and vibrant sound. I have found that recently the Lord has been giving me new forms of blasts, and I suddenly realised they were like warning sounds, sirens, alarms that sort of thing.....
When you say finely tuned, is that the actual fundemental notes tuned the same for each horn?
I started modifying shofars. I got some cheap tourist ones that had very narrow mouthpieces,with a long thin taper. I cut off the ends, then widened the cup with a steeper angle. I used a valve grinder and a tapered chairmakers reamer. I couldnt believe the difference in quality. In both cases the yemenites went from producing a thin weak "whistle", to a range of 4-5 full rich tones.
Not really.. I have been blowing the Shofar for less than a year now.. I have had brass trumpet players not being able to sound the Shofar.. it's because of the calling.. the anointing.. those that are called to the Shofar will play it because of the Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit) and Yaweh.

Oh WOW Val, now that was amazing. Seems like they would be heavy and a person would need steady hand grips. Another great teaching.
Shalom!

@deitrawade
If the shofars are left unpolished as they were on the animal, they can be very heavy. But polished ones are thinner and lighter in weight.

@ZECHRAH You actually remind me a lot of the guy who can hand-fart The Trooper by Iron Maiden. I wonder if he was called to that lol.
