Hi ryan. I been carving for many years. But the Thai style I learned that a couple of years now. that small knife works too but if you can get a flexible one that will be better. Just keep doing it and keep checking here in youtube, thay have good information. Wish you the best.

For this type of carving is good to use a "Thai Knife" or a Thai Flexible Carving Knife.
