You don't need to act as if she's the worst singer in the media. She is just a girl that wanted to make a song purely for fun, it got over-dramatized, and she got popular because of it. She's not so different from other "famous" people becoming popular. It kind of just happened.

The glee version of "friday" by Rebecca Black was so much better and catchy than the original. I got to say that the original was so annoying and sounds like some amateur worked on her voice. Overall the glee version was good.

He asked me for my birthdate and he told me what day I was born on, without thinking about it because he remembers the day associated with every date. why did they do cover it? Probably because Glee doesn't endorse bullying and speaks out very strongly against it. and in case you guys hadn't noticed.... that's exactly what you're doing to Rebecca Black... even though it stopped being funny ages ago.

@SirDrystan i think they did the song so that SOMEONE could make it good. its glees job to cover songs, even bad ones. yes they speak out against bullying, but noone really bullies rebecca as a person, they bully her song. im sure rebecca is really nice. but her song sucks, and i will buy her CD just to burn it if she every makes an album. i did it to bieber, ill do it to her too.

@dontstopmii right, the episode did say it quite clearly: people think because they hide behind anonymity it isn't bullying or it isn't wrong, or people are more accepting. Except it's just the same, and even worse. It's still bullying. I loved how the episode took Rebecca's situation and projected it through Kurt.

But people writing a 13 year old girl telling her to cut her wrists, or sending death threats to her and her family..isn't an effective way of changing anyone's mind about what one want's. It shows there's MILLIONS of ignorant people out there, and like zombies with a gang mentality, they choose a 13yo girl to abuse. We'll call it the KANYE WEST effect..when she counts her dollars.
