@ErikGMC Because the crank shaft turns counter clockwise (when looking at the truck from the rear) it torques harder on the left tire. That's why drag racers try to put a little more weight over the left rear. Fuel cell, battery, whatever.

For better weight distribution the fuell cell should be mounted in the middle or the right NOT on the left, that way it equals out the drivers weight better. The drivers weight on the left, fuel cell on the left, NO way is that 1000 hp. Nice truck though.

@surrynet why would you say no way its 1000hp? With 605 cubes and a blower with twin carb, its not possible if hes tuned it right. Summit sells a GM Performance 572CI big block thats rated at 720HP Naturally aspirated. This engine is 33 cubes bigger and has a blower. 1000hp is possible.

@surrynet good point. but you need to remember, its not horsepower that spins the wheels, its torque. But even if he doesnt have 1000hp 720 should still spin the tires. Maybe this was his first try so he went with the powerbrake to get the feel of it?

If you want to see a TRUE 1000 hp doing a burnout check out "GOING MENTLE" here on the tube. Now HE does a real mans burnout. Check it out. His car is 1000 hp at the rear wheels.. @Basebal4life92 The point I was making was that the Camaro is about 1000 hp at the rear wheels and does a burnout with ease, the truck that he says that has 1000 hp, even if it has 750 hp at the rear wheels, even with 373 gears should spin the tires at will without powerbraking. I agree the truck has power, but I really don't think it is 1000 hp. Maybe 750 at the crank and maybe 600 at the rear wheels. Nice truck though.

Also just because it's as you call (blown) in all actuallity it's (supercharged) doesn't mean it makes 1000 hp. It has alot of other things to consider such as is it under driven and by how much, and if it's over driven and by how much. I don't think you know the difference between HP at the crank and HP at the rear wheels. There is less HP at the rear wheels than at the crank.

@Leafsrule016 ALSO like I told another poster, check out "Going Mentle", he HAS 1000 HP at the rear wheels, and makes well over the 1000 hp mark at the crank. He doesn't need to powerbrake to do a mans burnout. Some people just like to see a vechicle smole the tires, christ I have seen little Yugo's do a powerbrake burnout. Torque AND HP= real mans burnout. crate engines are dynoed at the crank, when installed the hp at the rear wheels is much lower, or didn't you know that.

Swap the EFI for a Roots + Dual quad setup did ya ? I've seen those Roots type blowers on EFI also sticking thru the hood. Did ya have MPI, TBI, SPI,TPI, or what ? BADASS truck . I like the Lil' Red Express, Viper SRT/10, and the newer Rumble Bees, IDR the R.Bee' had 4 wheel drive! As low as they were, how useful could it be ? The early Lightnings were.... bleh, The late ones that put out 390 Horsies were ok. I didn't like the newer SS pickups at all.
