  • I do check recent posts of Yoko's "cut piece" .

In hopes that someone has stabbed her in the throat.

  • Talentless liberal hippie garbage. Someone should have taken the scissors and stabbed her in the heart.

  • @PumpkinPuffer is it healthy to you to wish someone's harm so hard? feeling better after it?

  • @utubeleplague I'd feel better if I cut her heart out.

  • @PumpkinPuffer - Generally, expressing murderous impulses is a sign that one should be seeking professional help or an institution.

  • @PumpkinPuffer amen!

  • Interesting conceptual art. props to her for being confident enough at her age to do it.

  • do not like yoko ono !!!i like cynthia !!CynthiA foreverr

  • it shit !!!!!!!!!!! and if she is beautifull, it i'm Marylin Monroe

  • did anyone notice the girl at the end just picked up a piece of cloth from the floor and cut it?

Then you're the only person I know who spends their time Logging In to YouTube to search for and watch Videos that you don't understand - odd... : - )

What I find even more odd, is why someone like you would sit all day hiding behind a Computer criticising someone they don't even know... Either they have a very empty life, jobless, friendless? Or they have severe mental issues...

  • @critic480 big woop mate. I enjoyed this 'performance' if you can call it that (well not really this particular one but one of her other ones from 1965), just because it was interesting to see where members of the audience cut and in what order. To me, this is significant. I don't care if it's odd or not, the whole world's odd imo

  • When first performed, this was one of the first and strongest examples of FEMINIST art. Yes, there was a feminist art movement, which between Yoko's first performances and the seventies and eighties work of Laurie Anderson and the Guerrilla Girls, was the freshest and most exciting work of the times. Yoko is a pioneer of feminist art and feminism generally (hmm, maybe that explains all the derision). We need feminism back on top again!!!!

  • it was pitiful in the 60s and it's worse now.

What an exploitation of her masochistic nonsense!

  • again: cut a pice of the dress... not the braa!!! dummy XD and she also rolled her eyes once again... she did it last time on 1965 ...

  • I wanted to see tiity

  • Is that Micheal Jackson???

  • @LSweet2007 shut up yoko is beautiful

  • Not the same as the first time!

People aren't as predisposed to not cut off her clothes as before.

It's lost it's magic after multiple performances.

  • i'd just give her a hug lol

  • @doctorcrapable Me too :)

  • exciting!

  • Yoko has lost the plot, and never seems to grow up!

    Maybe one day she will.

The Beatles were great and still hard to beat.

  • @SensaiMan A lot of people do this kind of performance art...she hasn't lost the plot.

  • I prefer her original cut piece. It was so brilliant. It was clear that most people were uncomfortable cutting away....raping--metaphorically, and how this one ass cut her bra and laughed and acted like a frat boy prank. But the meaning behind "Cut Piece" is brilliant and the way she expresses it is marvelous.

  • i saw that douce. he kept cutting off her bra and all away around it. and she was gettin aggrivated with him. after he cut all the way round her bra he cut the straps on it. she looked kinda mad at him. then the person behind the camera said 'man ppl get a lil to carried away here'

  • i read somewhere [wiki?] that it is communicating her internal suffering and the need for social unity and love...

  • i think this is interesting and probably has cultural context, but I dont really understand it. She doesnt even look like herself, she looks plastic.

  • I wish that I could see this performance closer. It is interesting but hard to get other information about the environment information around the performance.

  • this could be a representtation of the misinterpretation of ideas and art...

  • I agree. She does look like a mannequin, but I don't exactly understand this piece.

  • I wonder if John Lennon was cutting any of her clothes off outside of this performance piece to give her this idea...hmm

  • heyyy yea thats a pretty smart way to think of it. they did inspire each other alot. they are great together

  • I think this video comments on voyeurism and social issues

  • They are cutting one piece of her clothes each until she's naked

  • i rathe rthe first version

  • What are they doing ?

  • It is amazing that she does this piece again! it's such a cool concept- the person becomes an object or a victim...she's a great artist! I love yoko!

  • I agree! I always thought that this was a brave piece of work by Yoko.

  • is she wearing a mask???

  • Its interesting to see how she's done the same performance piece several times in her life at different ages. its also funny to watch them all and see the difference between male and female participants and what they cut

  • i agree lelene, I wonder if she considered that in her piece beforehand.

  • she looks like a mannequinn! odd way to say you met yoko ono...

  • Looks like the masked chick from "The Strangers". creepy

  • Very brave of her to bare her bod at that age - shows that she is confident in the knowledge of how beautiful she still is :)

  • given what happened to Marina Abramovic with Rhythm O, she's very brave to sit still with a possible weapon that she's allowed audience members to use against her person...

  • @Jojoseahorse

Agreed! I loved the fact that she did this great 'Piece' again after so many years.

  • @nintendy Wow, I didn't know someone had replied to me, or that I had the highest rated comment! Very flattered :) I would love to see this piece live!

  • @Jojoseahorse

Me too! I can imagine that anything done by Yoko (including any of her amazing Exhibitions) would be quite thrilling to see!

  • @Jojoseahorse everything is wrong with your comment. the message and the value of this performance have nothing to do with how fit the artist is. your brain is ruined by the daily mail and you are not able to see a human being passed their cellulite.

  • Yoko Ono Rulz!!
