The way the GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) watch works, is by setting the bezel to how ever many hours you are + or - from UTC (Universal Cooirdinated Time). Then you read UTC or GMT from the 24 hr hand. It is not designed to show you a different time zone. it's a pilot's watch and i've never seen anyone (non-pilot) wear it with the bezel set correctly. Most people just don't know its real function.
oh maaan.. lucky you :) 10 years back i'm only 9 years old hahaha and i wouldn't think of this watch lol haha
but today, when i first saw this watch.. it reflects the manly, charming, and calm yet humble personality.. even though it's rolex.. i think, this is the best collection ever made.. grats for those who own this watch :D
i've owned mine for like 9 yrs, purchased 2001at just usd1,600 pre owned. I couldnt believe price has almost doubled, i kinda got it from storage after stumbling upon this vid
A couple of details you missed are label at bottom on dial swiss T<25 for tritium. Later models say swiss only. Also earlier models have lug holes on side of watch which later models do not. I own a GMT 16700 N 1991 also with pepsi bezel this is
my first Rolex . My compliments on your good taste in watches.
love this gmt variant, the pepsi bezel just grabs your attention everytime. will pull the triggeron one of these beauties soon...thanks for the awesome review & see you at the fairways mate...saw your golf finger callous :0)
@AMX647 Yes, on the GMT II you have to rotate the hour hand past 12M for each day you want to advance.....but having the ability to adjust the hour hand without moving the minutes is a good thing.
