@mohab18 Most of the crusades were defensive as in to recover christian lands in the middle east that were previously taken by Islamic Jihad. None of them were ever to conquer lands previously established peacefully by muslims i.e. none went to Mecca or Medina (not that they were established peacefully; Medina, previously a Jewish settlement named Yathrib was taken by force and Mecca belonged to the pagan Quraish tribe and was also conquered). Jihad is responsible for over 270 million kills.

Wafa Sultan is an atheist. AyanHirsi Ali is an atheist. Many leave Islam just because they want to get out of Islam. It is not necessarily about converting to another religion. Help for leaving islam is offered to anyone, not just new Christians.

I mentioned Ayaan Hirsi Ali as an example of a non-christian ex-muslim. After Theo Van Gogh was killed Ayaan received police protection. She now lives in USA. I don't know how she is protected now. In Holland Geert Wilders receives police protection 24/7. He is not an ex-muslim but is targeted because he cricises Islam.

Islam is the most intolerant, controlling, religion in the world. The Koran is chocked full of blatantly anti-Christian rhetoric, as well as Muslim supremest ideology. Muslims essentially look at non-Muslims as less than human, and those who leave Islam as the ultimate enemy. Muslim countries? Well, the Middle East was a heavy Christian area, especially Syria, Egypt and Turkey until Mohammad's Fanatical followers obeyed his commands for Jihad. During the crusades you cannot conclude that those were "Muslim Lands," because they were once Christian.
