  • wow it does look like you took your hair out of twists! You had to use quite a bit of products though to get literally change texture. I don't like buying/using a lot of products on my hair...can I get a good style with just the bands? Is there a particular kind of band I should get?

  • :( my hairs not long enough for this style yet lol. Ill be trying this in about 4 months.

  • OMG I am loving it. I will have to try this next week.

    Thanks for this vid Soror..

  • @DaSouthernBelle1908 Thank you so much! Let me know how it turns out for you.

  • I finally found someone on youtube that has hair that is VERY similar to my own....I am very excited and I love your vids. You speak very clearly and your information is complete, thank you for representing, the darker sister of deeper color with truly tightly-kinked hair, with style and diva graciousness. I subscribed and I am anxiously looking forward to more from you in the future.

  • Thanks so pretty sister to sister. I'm going to try that.

  • Hmmmmmm! I like this method..I have a tad bit more hair..I think this can work...thank you!

  • New Subbie! Loved ur hair and make-up, very pretty!

  • yay i just subscribed

  • the flower was so pretty

  • @TheSOULSISTER75 Thank you and THANKS for subscribing :)

  • awesome

  • Looks good. Love the hair decorations.

  • Black women are beautiful and very creative when it comes to doing out hair. Keep up the good work:)

  • @pb5619 Thank you!

  • THANK YOUUUUU SO MUCH. Love this TUT. YOU are so darn Inspiring. Hugs to you.

  • i love the hair bands.... I think they worked better than the flower.

  • @ThickNCurly1 Thanks! I just wish they didn't hurt so much. LOL!

  • Tried this style last night. It's a very easy process. I'm glad I found this video. It didn't turn out too bad for my first stab at it. I am going to try it again with more bands. I have to be honest & say that I've encountered some issues with defining my curls. My hair texture is a 1B. But I'm not giving up. I'm going to find something works eventually. But I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my 'fro!

  • @flyaway360 I'm glad this was helpful. Sometimes it can take a while before you find what really works. I'm glad that you're NOT giving up. This journey has taught me patience but I'm working it out. LOL! You will too! Thanks for watching :o)

  • I LOVE those headbands! Could you please tell me where you got them.

Love your vids also. I'm subbing♥

    Fierce&LO♥E

  • @MsBellaFierce Thank you! I got them from the dollar tree. Thanks so much for watching!

  • SO HAPPY THAT I FOUND THIS VIDEO! THANKS! :)

  • @yhunt2qtee I glad it was helpful for you. Thanks for watching!

  • Oh thats cool, so what exactly did the hair challenge involve? I love the results.

  • @newlynatural05 We had to use select products of choice consistently for 6 weeks, deep condition weekly, take vitamins and drink lots of water. It was a great challenge.

  • How long did you keep the bands in your hair ( total process time)and what did your hair look the like the following day? Did you have to do anything at night to maintain the style?

I noticed your video 3 months ago and how short your hair was, your hair grew a lot in 3 short months that gives me hope for better styles to come.

  • @newlynatural05 I left the bands on for a full day so 24 hours. My hair looked the same each day because I banded it each night to maintain the definition. I did a 6 week hair challenge that started in March and that jump started a growth spurt for me. 3 months from now you'll be surprised as to how much hair you're gonna have.

  • I stretch my hair like this also.I love it. It has become my favorite style.

  • @tejejakeka I love it too! Easy and it lasts a while.

  • too cute!

  • @mslizzie1245 Thank you!

  • :)

  • I must try this...super cute!

  • @MrsKimberlee1 Thank you! It's really easy and will last for a while.

  • Hey sis! I have been hearing about this method! Love it! And Love how you care to share the steps and results with us!!!!Thanx Again ;-)! Your Beautiful Sis!

  • @BeauGorgeousNatural THANK YOU! I try to give as much info as possible to help the next person. This is a great method and I will definitely be doing it more. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • @20pearlsNcurls Do you find this easier to do instead of twisting it up at night and so fourth?

  • @BeauGorgeousNatural I haven't done twists before but from what I have seen of others, I think this is easier/quicker. Especially if you want the chunky twist look. IMO, using the bands insure great definition each time.

  • LOVE all your twa styles. Very cute!!

  • @CityChicWedding Thanks chica!

  • Very Nice...I like your method and ending results. Thank you for sharing. :-)

  • @sha21665 You're very welcome! I'm glad you like it :o)

  • omg it came out soooo pretty!!! Good job!

  • @toiatoya THANK YOU!

  • Love it!!!

  • @BamaBeauty10 THANK YOU!

  • Your hair is nice! Your method is unique I not seen that before for a strech. Way cool!

  • @aloe4radiance THANK YOU!

  • Very nice!

  • @braun3treasures Thank you!

  • I think the look came out really cute and your makeup was nice. I find that my hair loves thick conditioners and the shea moisture line as well. I have been using the same products that you are using! The bantu knots are on my to do list, lol!

  • @MissLeeLee37 Thanks! Yeah, the thicker the better for me. LOL! I tried doing a few bantu knots but I didn't like them too much. I think I need to try them again using these same products.

  • @20pearlsNcurls I have never tried them and I think they look really cute on some people so I want to try them, I am also gonna try this method that you used in this video!

  • it's very cute! does that give you similar results to a twistout?

  • @louloumatou Thank you! I think it look similar to a chunky twistout because I used large sections.

  • That came out nice. To me banding looks like a stretched twist out. Was that oil you used first?

  • @Iamsonotmyhair Thanks! I agree, it does look like a stretched twistout done in half the time. I used coconut oil on my scalp and on my hair prior to adding the restorative conditioner.

  • I have never tried the banding method..I think may give it ago.. ..your hair came out so lovely & you look good in white!

  • @kylahsmom1 Thank you! You should check out Whoissugar's video on how she banded her hair since yours is much longer. I think it will look great on you.

  • for a while i struggled with finding my own routine that worked and finding a really good conditioner. my ahir so thick and always looks dry. i have almost everything target has to offer.....then i saw your videos. thank god. that ol school care free curl moist. was on point. si now im starting to figure out what my hair will tolerate. thank you so much. i really love your videos. i love my twa but its hard work sumtimes.

  • @angelbabygabriel Thank you so much! I'm glad that my videos are helpful to you. I actually learned early on (the hard way) that my hair likes thicker conditioners so that's what I stick to. And that care free curl is the bizzness. LOL! Once I started "listening" to my hair instead of using what I thought was good, it has been smooth sailing. Thanks for watching :o)

  • Too cute : ) Another fabulous tutorial!

  • @MoNaturalButterfly Thanks lady! I appreciate that!

  • yay sis!!! thanks for doing this. I wanted to see what it would look like as a real style when I did the banding method to stretch my hair for the flat twists.

great job! you are really venturing out with the hairstyles lately. Me so proud of you. lol

also, I was told that I no longer have a TWA. So...that might be applying to you as well. :)

  • @Toliahli Thanks! Say it ain't so! I love claiming a TWA. LOL! I JUST commented on one of your vids too. I'm trying to preserve this style for 1 more day. Your vid helped! Thanks!

  • @20pearlsNcurls:::That's how I felt. I don't wanna drop the TWA title, but I keep getting comments saying that I NO longer have one. oh well. and Im glad one of my vids has helped you!! yay, ur welcome

  • dont laff,but what's TWA?hahahahaha

  • @munajinx Girl, you crack me up! LOL! It's "Teeny Weeny Afro".

  • @20pearlsNcurls :) been asking but never got replies.now i know.thanks so much

  • @munajinx You're welcome!
