Amaral was right to make the pair arguidos given the fact that in most child abduction/murder cases the perpetrator has been a close family member or friend. Guilty of neglect certainly. The children were left alone EVERY night, and one witness spoke of Madeleine being in great distress alone in the flat. The "predator" obviously wasn't on the prowl that night. He waited to make his move when the children were being "checked-on every 20 minutes", or whatever number you care to pick out of the air.

Typical tactic to avoid suspicion is to implicate you were no where near where the crime happened. I think the parents put their party mentality so far ahead of the kids, they grabbed the first unknown who would babysit for them. But they confess they left them alone to party and check up. Pick one of these scenarios and you still have parents that put this girl graciously into the hands that have her now, but had a few good drinks while a childs future is stolen. Idiots.

They were left for 30 mins at a time,not adviseable,but also that does not make them bad parents,they were not partying,they were having a meal,very close.Blame the bastard who took her.They made a mistake,have some sympathy,it was not the crime of the century.

I dont understan WHY polices drop missing children cases?
I think it's so different to drop murder cases when u dont have murder there's no hope harm have already hapend, BUT there is still hope with missing children they may be alive there somewhere and then polices stop searching them, stop searching what have happend to those inncoent children? I dont understan why.. It's something I really cant understand.
