I grew up, & live in the Florida panhandle, history is being written. This is the end of life as we ever knew it, as it used to exist. Corexit is nothing but deadly poison. The Gulf of Mexico was food producing waters, now just contaminated wetlands along the coast. The seafood industry both recreational, & commercial has been destroyed for decades to come. Long live Gulf Breeze, & the white sand beaches of Florida.
why is this called "Republicans Block Big Oil Bailout Bill"? should it not be called " Republicans Block Big Oil liability Bill"? It sounded to me like she did not want BP to have to pay the full price of the oil spill.
So by her not wanting BP to pay for the full cost of the oil spill, they have asked others that believe this if this means that the Tax Payers will be on the hook to pay for the cleanup instead and they have said yes. For example, Mike Lee, the Tea party candidate in Utah that just won the GOP primary and will go on to be the new GOP senator from Utah, has said BP's liability is limited and taxpayers will have to pay for the cleanup. This is a bailout to the oil companies - period.
@rogerspaf The bad thing is we dont get to see these bills how do we know there isnt other bills added in to get passed with this bill? But you also have to look at it from other angles also. Eventhough I do agree with yours I also can see Gas prices shooting through the friggin roof to a average of $7 USD per gallon. Also has anyone ever wondered why the USA is the only country to have all these restrictions when we are just 10% of oil producers?

Republicans care more about oil company profits than the cost of clean-up.
They sure didn't want a cap on the oil company profits.
