@hcvang If one is to come from one world to another which is not united but comprised of different nation states, the only sensible thing to do is to deal with the one which is the most powerful and advanced. Also, the US turned the tide against the Nazis in WW2, whereas Sweden signed a non-aggression pact with the Nazis and didn't lift a finger to help the Allies, the Jews or anyone but themselves. Sounds like the Swedes behaved selfishly then in the interest of a privileged few: themselves.

there is life out there. it is impossible for us to be the ONLY living life forms in the whole universe when there are other planets at the right distance from the right sized stars for them to be able to support life. that being said, it is highly unlikely that "greys" or "reptilians" are valid representations of the other life forms in the universe, because those "aliens" are nothing but fabrications humans thought up in order to put some face to the name "alien"

@themangodess you're essentially saying what i was saying. its ridiculous to believe that there is no other life out there. but distance from the sun plays a huge role in determining whether or not a planet can support life. yes there are organisms that can survive in harsh conditions, but extremophiles are almost exclusively spores and bacteria.
sentient life would need to come from a planet about the same distance away from the star in their system as earth is from the sun.
