  • I loved this song so much I had it played at my wedding

  • So utterly cool! Look at the 60s mod band getting into it, as the gorgeous girl does her song.

  • great song what a voice

  • the most beutiful song ever

  • Isn't that Dusty Springfield's dress?

  • ontroerend raakt mij recht in het hart

  • Julie used to pass our home in Kingsbury NW9 on her way home from work in 63ish. I have her autograph from then and have since had emails from her remembering our family ;0) genuinely lovely lady. ;0) xx

  • my mums best friend Pat Linehan...used to sing this beautiful.. x

  • Original name was "La Novia" (The Bride)... Written by Joaquin Prieto and sung by his brother Antonio Prieto in 1959, I used to listen to it several times a day, since my mother would go over the radio dial again and again to find it in the different stations.

  • keep your x factor that girl had real talent

  • A Truly Lovely girl in every respect who never recieved the recognition all those years ago she deserved .Saw her inconcert in Margate in 1976 obviously she sang this, with about three encores, unbelievable. So pretty, still is.Modern day female singers who try so very hard to make themselves look and sound so awful study this and learn....................

  • Still a beautiful song all these years

  • what are classic song

  • Beautiful song.

  • If anyone has her minor hit Hawaiian Wedding Song could you please upload.

I've been looking for it for years.

    Thanx in advance

  • pontello3 - I respect your opinion and honesty.

I know I could never sing like that either....

Sorry to be so snippy. I was having an exceptionally crappy day.

  • Love this. Can't wait until Love Theme from the film "Michael & Helga" is on here, it's my favourite.

  • wow what a voice! and a woman

  • Lovely looking woman with a lovely pure voice. I never quite understood why Julie never got the fame she really deserved

  • superb..............

  • and if i'm NOT very much mistaken she is singing this LIVE or i'll eat my hat.... excellent singer and she deserved more success

  • @smartbomb05 Thats exactly what I was thinking, not bad eh?

  • A real singer !!

  • from a time when artists were really good singers... no auto tune or enhancements.... TOTAL RESPECT...............

  • Beautiful song. May be somebody can tell the name of the band. Thanks

  • this is rather boring..;i don't like it is not true that everything is vintage is good....this is for sleepy grannies

    :)

  • @pontello3

I'd like to see YOU try to do as well as Julie Rogers. She's a star.

  • @Jezzo1958

i don't sing so why should i make a video of me singing? utube is a free space so anybody who sing is free to put his/her clip , but everybody else are also free to post their opinion , positive or not by the way did i say i don't like julie rogers?

she's not my kind of music , she's too traditional-melodic ( julie remind me the iatlian singers of the 50's wich i don't like) but technically she's a good singer. but i like male crooners like scott walker ,gene pitney etc

  • @pontello3 And I suppose YOU can sing better than that?

    Make a video....

  • The song was never my cup of tea , but I can appreciate its appeal ..... but what I never fully realised was just how good Ms.Rogers' voice was! Not a vocoder, computer programme or rigged mic in sight! Listen and learn any current female so called popstar (or worse still , music star!)

  • Oh, my love, my love, This can really be? That some day you'll walk, Down the aisle with me. Let it be, make it be, That I'm the one for you. I'd be yours, all yours, Now and forever. I see us now, your hand in my hand. This is the hour, this is the moment. And I can hear sweet voices singing, "Avé Maria, avé Maria, avé Maria."
  • You by my side, that's how I see us.

I close my eyes, and I can see us.

We're on our way to say, "I Do-oo."

My secret dreams have all come true-oo.

I see the church, I see the people,

Your folks and mine happy and smiling.

And I can hear sweet voices singing,

    "Avé Maria."

  • I love this version more than "Footage" version. Thank you "myrainbow". It's so soft and tender both vocal & music.

  • Amazing song and vocals by Julie.....classic for sure....!!!!

  • lLoved this back in the 60s and I still love it all these years later!

  • My dad loved this and so do I. Thanks.

  • Two words describe this song--simply beautiful!

  • she's wonderful

  • #OMG these old classics are amazing! Julie has an amazing voice!!

  • your are the best julie!!!

  • SAw her in Panto in 1979...huge legs!

  • @Shuna1001 you saw her in '79 and all you can remember was her legs. That crazy man.ahahahahahahahahaha!!!

  • is Taylor Swift listening to how a female voice really sounds....and a little thing called EMOTION????

  • Wow, amazing I do believe Miss Rogers is singing this live!!

  • Magnificent song & great hair!

  • I L U so much ... dù muốn nói nhưng lòng còn e ...^.^...

  • Excellent. Loved it so much, had it play at my own wedding ceremony in 1987

  • EXCELLENT******

  • That's the same dress that Dusty Springfield wears (different belt) when she does 'Losing You' on Ready Steady Go, elsewhere on Youtube.

  • this song is soooooooooo beautiful,it really makes me cry!!

  • She reminds me a lot of Judith Durham, brilliant. Thanks.

  • I love her voice! though my genre song fav is punk and rock, I REALLY REALLY LOVES THIS SONG! maybe because I always hear this song since I was kid. yeah..my mom is a fan of her

  • It seems hard to believe now, but at one time, singers in the charts, could actually sing...& Julie is a perfect example...such a great voice !

  • In July 1972 I heard this played by a piano, accordion, bass and drum band at the Zhivago (yes, it's true!) Room in Edindurgh, Scotland. Scenes from the film were painted on the walls.

  • i'm in love......where are women like this today?

  • @arizonaghost1 There are none! The world went to shit ages ago already.

  • @arizonaghost1 were still here lol, happy searching

  • @arizonaghost1 Susan Boyle sings just like that, close your eyes and use your imagination! haha.

  • @chancergordy

Well, thats because Susan Boyle can actually sing properly.

  • @metafis , of course she can! and more.

  • @arizonaghost1 we r still here

  • My mom used to sing this melodic song when I was still a young boy. Julie Rogers is a lovely woman with a great voice.

  • beautiful voice

  • A notice to todays performers........take note you bunch of zeros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Remember wanting this played when I walked down the aisle 40 years ago instead of the wedding march, but the Rev. would not allow it - miserable old sod.

  • OK, she is just plain hot....and the perfect depection of the idea of "wife" back then- can you just see her in a dotted swiss wedding gown!

  • Love this song....where did the years go?

  • One of the very best songs in British pop history! As a young man in the early sixties, you had to quite brave to admit you liked this. I was that brave young man!!

  • *to be

  • I'll bet that even in a hurricane, her hair wouldn't budge. It looks like it could actually deflect bullets.

  • a lot nicer looks than some of the skanky hairdo's of the singers today!

  • Wether this was sung live or not makes no difference, it is a beautifully controlled performance from one of the finest singers ever, even taking into account the 'hip' backing band

  • I am sorry but she is so hot, and so is this song!

  • Funny how hair styles come back

  • I think she is singing this live here?

  • the greatest song of all times.

  • absolutely beautiful!

  • fantastic

  • A perfect wedding song Indeed !!!! Full of enthusiasm & joy !!!!

  • She was only 20 or 21 when she recorded this... amazing ! What a voice !

  • So nice !

    From BOOTAKILL to France

  • Love this song.
