What is the policy on jewelry, hats/headware, necklaces, bracelets, watches, and other things of that sort.

Also, im a 14 year old boy who happens to have his ears pierced, is this going to be an issue or cause any offense to natives? Im most likely going to England, or taking the trip to Australia.

@PulseOfTheMagg0tss check the website you can probably find a meeting near you! They dont look at you grades but they do need recommendation letters from teachers so you may want to try to get your grades up so that you get good recommendations

@emochick123XD yeah a lot of students are recommended by teachers to go on the trip! and at the information meeting you will find out a lot more but you are in good hands! it cost around 6,500 but that covers just about the entire trip!

i was a bit nervous but there is really no reason to be nervous about it just be yourself! and its not like its just you in the interview your normally in groups of 10 and they dont try to be intimidating they just want to get to know you.

the interview isn't that hard. it lasts probably around 20 - 30 mins at the most. they ask u basic questions like what does it mean to you to be a student ambassador and why do u want to become one. they might also give u a scenerio such as what would u do if u were at a homestay nd the hosts served u food that didn't look appetizing. the good thing is that there are 3 or 4 other ppl taking the interview with u so it's not by urself. i had mine just last wk. i got accepted!!! good luck on urs :)

you can try to call and text friends but your cell phone may not work in Europe! but you can use a pay phone to call them and stuff, you can talk to anyone they dont limit that!

it may work but it will be one hell of alot of money to pay for, i suggest getting a world travel phone from verison you only pay for what you use and its cheap they mail it to you than you mail it back when you get back from the trip!

i really wouldnt reccomend using your normal phone because it may not work in all places and its extremely expensive , to call someone and talk for a little may be 20 dollars so i would say get a calling card or a world phone like the girl on the video has

Thanks for the tips! For free time, I know that there are rules where you can't be by yourself and there has to be at least one male in the group. Do they really enforce that? I'm not very close with anyone in my delegation and I really want to go places without being the awkward person that had to join. All meetings are over and it's just the bon voyage party and the community service project. How were you able to get closer with people from your delegation? I'm a really shy person.

they do enforce the rule that you cant be by yourself during free time, but the whole you must have a guy in your group they dont really enforce. well me leaders didnt. Well to get to know your delgation your need to open up a bit, talk to some kids get to know them, and you guys will become friends, also talk to everyone you are rooming with, if you make an effort to get to know everyone you'll be fine!

well when your home sick you really should keep going with all the activites going on, like dont skip out on anything. you can talk to the other delgeates and call your parents if you think it will help. homesickness will come and go, so just keep moving and try to distract yourself the best way you can.
