  • LOL @ 0:06. That is exactly how I felt the first time I shot mine.

  • this gun isnt a rifle. its a damn CANNON!!!

  • this looks like the cushman firing range in fairbanks, ya?

  • I am picking up my 1943 M91/30 and i think its gonna be made by the same company, i pick it up 9-12-11, anything i should know about the rifle?

  • I just shot mine for the first time and it didn't kick anymore than my Remington 700.

  • Comment removed

  • This is the kind of song that gets stuck in your head for days.

  • "Izhevsk - 1943 - All ser. #'s match EXCEPT Bayonet."

    =0 you stole my rifle!

  • Would make a good gun to fight pirates from taking over the ship!

  • Her reaction was priceless!

  • im alaskan and i own one of these guns, want to order one for 80 bucks, awesome gun

  • that was gay

  • A German song, about a Russian city, in a video featuring a Soviet gun.... I like it!

  • what year is the rifle???

  • why are you shooting with the bayonet on?

  • wimps, mosin kicks like a fetus

  • dude, wait you live in fairbanks? anyway I have a 1943 Izhevsk with all serial numbers matching lmao how wierd whats ur serial number?

  • just got a 1943 w/ bayonet

  • Its funny that you use a German song, for a video featuring a rifle that was used to kill Germans...

  • hahaha good point

  • @Ascetiq for every German that died 13 or 14 Russians...

  • @DieDeutsch died

  • @DieDeutsch

This is True, didn't the Russians lose something like, 6 million people in the war?

  • @Ascetiq i think so?

  • @Ascetiq not just german i think, was a song with rammstein and that other wierd lesbian russian pop group...

  • @Ascetiq Finns used it to kill Russians.

  • @Ascetiq if there was russian metal im sure it would be on here

  • should i get the 91/30 or m44?

  • @macbookusrkid m38 is cool too. i love mine. theyre all cannons though, fun to shoot nonetheless

  • I believe that 91/30 are general cheaper, for the basic models in good condition you can pick it up for less than a hundred. If that's not what you looking for, M44 are generally better quality and have a folding bayonet affixed to it but about 100 to 200 dollars more. Though most dealers throw the bayonet in with M91/30. M44 have shorter range I believe. I'm going for the M91/30 because then I can afford the M1895 revolver as well..

  • bullshit! the m44 can be bought for 70 bucks and the 91/30 is about $100, dumbass

  • I've never seen an m44 for less then a 91/30. Mostly because there were millions more made of the 91/30's. The M44's are going to be a bit more expensive because they are "rarer".

  • @soixe1997 dude ur full of shit i bought my 91/30 for 60 bucks, great condition, Ive seen m44s for $1000

  • @macbookusrkid M91/30 better accuracy, trust me.

  • @ItalianM0BSTER

I dunno I get tighter groups with my .22 semi then my 91/30. I plan to free float the barrel, see if that helps.

  • yes, you should try to float the barrel, it will release some of the pressure that the barrel takes in. You will also get greater accuracy. It is very risky though, you don't want to mess up the gun by mistake, expecially if it is one of the rare M91/30's that are out of stock.

  • @ItalianM0BSTER

Mines just your average everyday Mosin Nagant. I already checked the rarity of it, it's worth nothing. Im probably gonna end up getting an ATI stock and slap on some Mojo's, the darn thing is a mess.

  • @Migs4000 prolly cuz ur .22 is lighter and easier to steady

  • @DieDeutsch

I shoot from a supported bench position.

  • @Migs4000 with obth or what?

  • @DieDeutsch

I shoot mosin nagant one handed at 100 yards then complain about poor accuracy..............yes with both! lol

  • @Migs4000 oh, lol. well idk what to tell you then, you must have one accurate .22 lmao check out some of my vids I uploaded a bunch of guns of mine :)

  • @DieDeutsch

Well it's a M597 LSS with heavy barrel so its not the bad hehe

  • @Migs4000 ha yeah idk but I can shoot my .22 magnum better than my 91/30 lol i think it is just cause the .22 maagnum is a hell of a lot lighter

  • @DieDeutsch

the sights on my .22 are definitely better too hehe (irons that is)...and the barrel isnt 4 feet long...and it's not 300 years old....and hasnt been through 3 wars...and also doesnt have a 2 foot long screwdriver on the end for a bayonet

  • @Migs4000 lmao nice points, nice points, but my 91/30 doesn't have a bayonet on it and my .22 Mag has flourescent modern sights, but I still like my 91/30 better :(||)

  • @DieDeutsch

then again im positive it's the shitty surplus ammo I buy from 1732. I'll try some modern commercial stuff next time at the range.

  • @Migs4000 1732? well idk but that's prolly a big part of it lol I use Wolf ammo for my 91/30 it works great.

  • depends, they are both awesome, the m44 is way shorter, but you can hit targets at really -really- long range with the 91/30!

ps both awesome rifles you cant go wrong w/ Either! :D :D

  • mosin negants dont kick like a mule i shoot 100 rounds a day and not a bruise

  • ya but these retards often dont know how how to properly shoulder a gun.

  • BRUFFFK....Oew.

  • songs legit braa

    FIGHT FOR THE MOTHERLAND!

  • its ramstein, or german band

  • Just for info sake. There are some folks here on YouTube that have video proof that you can shoot and hit targets out to 900-1,000 yards with the 91/30. Me ? I own an m38 and love it.

  • I was surprised when I got my nagant, I heard about how horrible they are on shoulders but I've had no problem. Though some masking tape and layered cardboard pad is a lot easier than the metal buttplate...

  • yeah i thought they didn't kick either the first few rds... after a whole box my shoulder was killing me! ha. put a buttpad and my shoulder thanked me.

  • That's the rifle Soviet woman snipers used.

  • FUCK YEAH RAMMSTEIN.

  • whats name of the song?

  • Moskau.

  • not only do you have a grood choice in fire powere you have a good choice in music so i dont own a m44 so i was just woundering how accuret they were

  • I heard that up to 400 yards the difference in accuracy is little. However the velocity is different. The 91/30 hits a little harder, not that it matters a lot with the cartridge they both use.

  • Very accurate, especially considering how old mine is.

  • i wish i had a place to shoot my mosin around here at all...

  • aww...I wish I could shoot my mosins in the snow =(

darn you Florida!!! How dare you deprive my weapons of their native temperature!

  • lol

  • @JHUD152 hahaha! right but we did get like an hour of snow this year!

  • now if you decide to shoot it with the bayonet on with you having corrected the front sight, the bullet will travel to the right a bit because of the bayonet hanging off to the right of the muzzle. I dont shoot with mine on, it is too much of a hassle and you cant maneuver it around as easily.

  • hehe but it definetly adds to the "cool factor" though...plus a mosin just doesnt look like a mosin without that 4 feet long spike at the end imo :D

  • when they originally sighted in these rifles they had the bayonet on them so therefore they moved the front iron sight slightly to the left causing the bullet to go straight. now if you had the bayonet off, the bullet will go to the right because of how the front sight is positioned. you can correct this by nudging the front sight over a bit to make it shoot straight.

  • i took a deer with mine to its a great gun but it does not kick its like shootin a 22

  • d3adMans, you must be a hoss, mine kicks like a mule and I'm 210 benching 345...

  • ya i almost went with a lee insed of a nagant because i got told that if i shot the nagant wrong it would take my shoulder out of place but then i shot i a few times and no joke it is like shooting a 22 if not for the noise and the smoke i would have to wounder if it actualy shot

  • I killed a deer once with a nagant, the deer dropped where it stood. went clear through both shoulders.

  • If you want to get the best accuracy from your rifle - or any other military rifle - take the bayonet off.

  • not true

the mosin nagant was made to ALWAYS have the bayonet on(except when riding in vehicles) and most MNs without a bayonet will be less accurate

  • Can you explain that? Because the gun does have an iron sight on it so how does a bayonet help? Same the other way around, a gun with a Bayonet should be as accurate with it or without it unless it does something else I'm not aware of.

  • I have an m91 30 I dont get the bayonet ethier. I think its helps because there is more weight on the end of the barrell thus less of a recoil

  • The reason that the M44 shoots more accurately with the bayonet extended is simply because all the carbine length Nagant rifles were originally sighted in while the bayonet was attached. It is enough to alter the barrel resonance to nearly a foot at 100 yards.

  • That is only with the M44, it has a folding bayonet, and it shoot better with out it. My 3 M91 shoot MUCH better without! I shoot about 6-8" (and 4-9" off my point of aim) at a hundred yards, shrink that to 1.5" on a good day, and 2-3" on most days.

  • wrong. Mosins were sighted in with the bayonets on. Having it off for long range shooting messes with the harmonics.

  • German music, not Russian.

    It sounds like Ramstein.

  • Moskau- Rammstein

  • My bayonet won't fit properly on my 1942 Izzy, I can't get it far enough to wrap around the front sight.

  • ive got the same problem...

  • I just got a matching 1943 Izhevsk though I don't have a bayonet. Yet...

  • Izhevsk - 1943 - All ser. #'s match EXCEPT Bayonet.

    LUCKYYY

  • how can you tell where its made at? mine doesnt have a star so its not a tula hmm i need some help

  • if it is a triangle with a arrow it is itchzeck (misspelled) arsenal

  • Izhevsk.

  • yea i have an izhevsk arsenal 91/30

  • Whoa! badass , you live in Alaska, lol I wish I lived there cuz then I could blow off my guns. Rules are too strict in MI.

  • Vermont also has no gun laws..

  • As liberal as that state is and there is NO gun laws??? not a chance!

  • Its true, Only 2 states in the US have no gun laws and that's Alaska and Vermont.

I should know, because I live there.

  • You live in both Alaska AND vermont? Amazing! tell me how you do

  • Ha, I didn't even realize it read like that lol.

I said it like that as I don't want people to know where I live xD

  • i know that range i live down the road from it lol, fairbanks AK

  • I dont know what problems you guys are having but there is a button that you need to push in, right in the area you put your beyonet on and then take the beyonet off its simple use your common sense ..................nice video but whats uo with German music being used for a Russian rifle video

  • The song is made by a German band, but half of the lyrics are in fact Russian... Its the most fitting tune I had.

  • thats rammstein

  • Indeed, Moskau is a great Rammstein song. I forgot who the guest singer was, though.

  • @Spetsnaz193

Mosin sights are by default set with the bayonet out. If I want a accurate shot (past 800 yards) I need my bayonet on, or it will hit too high.

  • @Rockrz5 Yeah, i've got that problem. Go figure, let my friend shoot it and he somehow blew the bayonet off the front and into a river. Now she shoots high to the right... fml

  • @Rockrz5

Ah that blows mate, sorry to hear that. It'd be one thing to find a spare bayonet, but it can be hard finding a decent Mosin!

  • does anyone here know if shooting with the bayonet on offsets the rounds? (to the left)

  • anyone have a problem with the bayonet ?? mines stuck and it wont move or twist.

  • Yea i had that same problem. i had to use a pair of channel locks to get it off and it took like 10 min. my brother then like used some kind of drill and kind of smoothed out the inside of it so it works like a charm

  • Ya it wont move once you have it fastened but there is a little button type thing holding it in place just mess around with it its simple

  • where u get your ammunition??

  • I get mine at gun shows, I'd also recommend SilverBear ammo. If you dont know already, dont use the green laquered cartridges- they make your bolt stick.

  • lol gotta love rammstein and tatu. im tired of seeing all these videos with ppl playing the old school russian music yet they look stupid in their vid o.O

  • Not tatu brotha.

  • Ya especially when they're not Russian

  • awesome video and i like the hitman video :)

  • what music is that? if you can, let me know the artist and the song

  • The band is Rammstein, a bit ironic that they are shooting a Russian rifle from WW2 while playing German music.

  • rammstein - Moskau

  • Hey gays...

How could it be an M44 =(Model 1944), if you red teh INFO????

There are already written down that the rifle was made in 1943, so it could be only an M91/30 design, not an M44.I think the bayonet is just hacked by the gunsmith, so he added an M44 type bayonet to an M91/30 rifle.

    So this is the result...

AND DONT NEED ADDITIONAL COMMENT TO MY COMMENT RETARDS :F :)

    forgive my english ok?

  • The original M91/30 bayonet is off to the side. It slips on above the barrel, then rotates 45 degrees to lock into place and ends up on the right side of the barrel (when viewed from the shooter's perspective; same side as the handle for the bolt).

It's an M91/30 with an original bayonet.

  • Theres m44 carbines with dates from the 30's due to refurbishment-adding new barrells etc...

  • Hey dumbass both M44 AND M91/30 have a bayonet that comes with it.

  • nice shootin.. ive been thinkin bout gettin me one of these.. have a mauser 98k and im hooked on it lol.. need a new addiction

  • Nope. Guarantee you its an M44. The bayonette would be top mounted if it were a 91/30, this one is obviously side mounted and the barrel is far too short to be a 91/20

  • My mistake, that COULD be a 91/30... but it looks like the bayonette is side mounted... whats up with that?

  • well, when the bayonet is slipped over the muzzle, the blade is on the top, but when it is fully locked in it is sideways (throws off trajectory too)

  • it is the M44 Carbine model. if the bayonet isn't extended it throws off the accuracy.

  • your a dumbass

  • Thats an M44, not a 91/30

  • M44 has the fixed bayonet.

This IS a 91/30, bayo is detachable and the barrel length is way over excess of the M44.

  • How much ammo can you fit in that ammo can?

  • at LEAST 350 to 400 rounds. Possibly 500.

  • That's the standard 30 caliber can I take it, correct? Nice video!

  • Yep. You are correct, and thanks!

  • me and my dad have a mosin nagant.

    it kicks like a kitten.

  • Mine is almost the same. Ishevsk 1942 all #'s match exept bayo

  • DOLBANI FRITZ

  • Without doubt the best high powered rifle for the price in the world available today. I got mine for 69.99 plus shipping cost of 25 dollars

  • yeah its a great value

  • did you get it from AIM surplus?

  • no i got it from jgsales

  • Are they good for doing business with?

  • Ive ordered lots of ammo and stuff from them, only one gun though. From my experience theyve been really good. My gun seemed like brand new and they ship well

  • thanks for the help man. enjoy the mosin.

  • Does your 91-30 shoot better with the bayonet on or off?

  • its dead-accurate with the bayo mounted.

shoots to far right without it.. I'm hoping to make it the other way-around :)

  • I think the Russians wanted the soldiers to keep the bayonet mounted, but it does made the gun a bit barrel heavy and a pain to run around with...lol

  • Yea, I think so too.. but I'm not gonna charge a city or enter a pole-vault contest anytime soon, so I'll set it to shoot good without it haha

  • So much fun! My shoulder doesnt hurt anymore, time to go again! ;)

  • I just got my 91/30 on Monday, it was only $80 with a bayonet, strap, and ammo bags. Most numbers match, except baynet and clip. Anyway, I was wondering what ranges the numbers 1-20 represent on the sight.

  • 1-20 resemble meters by the hundreds.

    1= 100

    3= 300

    20= 2,000

Note that there is slight difference between "Meters" and "Yards". but not too much.

  • Hey Nice shooting BTW this is Sarduy From THR ;)

  • Mosin-Nagant: leaving shoulders sore since 1891

  • Tell ya man, she's a badass. She's a keeper that's for damn sure. Way ta go with both of ya. That's one helluva firearm.
