detroit did offer hossa a contract but it was only 5 mil a year. it was a pay cut from his old contract because detroit didn't have cap space.

Bizzle, there is no debate. Ranger fans should not be ripped on for expressing their feelings about losing avery. They have reason to be upset whether he left for the sole purpose of money or as u are implying for other reasons if the rangers offered him a similar contract.

Listen Islanderssuck36. No matter how you look at it, Avery is a huge loss despite picking up Naslund who we all know has proven himself to be great and brings alot to the table. Its just straight up foolish to label those who are sorry to see Avery go as "fakeass rangers fans". Agreed, Avery is not the greatest offensive talent out there right now but the personality and energy he has brought to the team is irreplaceable. Look at the statistics themselves!....

I like how all Ranger fans make the last 10 comments or so to see who they will be watching this upcoming season. This will be very tricky to see where they put zherdev with all of this new talent they have acquired this offseason. If zherdev played for the rangers last year he would have had the most goals on the team so we know he can score so all we need to do is put him with a good passer in which the rangers have plenty of. The choice of music is absolutely terrible

i disagree, i thin kavery does have offensive talent. he socred 15 goals and 18 assists and he was hurt for a lot of the year and had 48 points the year before when he spent most of it with LA. he's got very good offensive skills, but naslund is still a lot better. I would rather have avery for 4 a year the nrozsival for 5 a year though, ill tell you that much

youre fucking high, avery wouls have taken 3.5 a year, and was very clear on that in like 13 or 14 different articles learn some hockey before you open your mouth - naslund is getting 4 avery is a huge addition to any team meanwhile they handed roszival 5 a year and hes a 2nd liner at best, if he sucked that bad dallas - a team that knows how to win wouldnt have scooped him up in the first 24 hours of free agency

This guy is Alexei Kovalev to a "T"...a guy with all the potential in the world but so far has not quite lived up to it, the reason columbus traded him, plus he is russian...I hope he has a better career then Kovalev did, cause he never quite clicked with the Rangers, he was much better on the Penguins and even on the Canadians last year...but this team is gonna be young and fast, so they should be exciting if nothing else
