First time hearing this in many, many years. It brings back memories of some golden times long forgotten. This album was the soundtrack for one great summer.
What I like about this video is that you can really hear Jeff's bass thumping. As much as I was knocked out by Warner's guitar, as well as Perry's drumming and Jason tto, the production of the albums did not feature this dimension.
This band remains one of my all-time favorites for the way they just blasted out of the box. Yes, they were trying to play the game at this point with hair and makeup and what have you, but they were still tremendous.
Thing I like, their Stones cover has the same energy and groove, This is just what ROCK N ROLL should be! DAMN, people, what the hell happened to quality music?!?!?!?
@mtbluzman I almost went to that show, this album just came out. its something i'll always regret for not going but finally saw them at the Horseshoe Tavern in 96 or 97. We're they ever loud.
@Kenebutch Hey Man, the Georgia Sattelites opened up that show, they were incredible! Then Jason & the boys come out, Jason is wearing a purple cape & wailing on harp, the guitar man cracks a bottle of EX, grabs it in his teeth & chugs while playing a solo. A night I'll always remember.. Cheers.....................MT
Actually, they are a hair band w/ hairband riifs, but with an indulgent rockabilly singer, which makes them cool, but also why they were doomed to the big bar, and warm up act slot. I watch bands for a living, and I'm sure they heard this from plenty of AR people.
I agree with your first sentence when it comes to this song and the album it's from, but their traditional sound (as represented by the first two records, as well as the brand new one) has more of a country flavor to it.
Cheers for this man. Brings back memories of trips down south(Cornwall) in my brothers VW Baja Bug. Car@£1000, Sound system@£2000. 400 watts of Jason in '89. Excellent Summers.
True Grit. Rebel Yell. Thank god for the Peyote.

Great video. In the 80's Jason and the Scorchers were an island in the sea of hairband hell.
