It's definitely her (same outfit and hairclip, and adorably tactile= grabs his trunk and snuggles into it). And when she speaks, you can SO TELL it's her. Aw, so cute!
I wonder where she is now. By the way, in this video, it says she is 6.
I remember this adorable girl from another sketch. Do all of you remember it? "A, B, C, D, E, F, .... Cookie Monster! .... H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, ... Cookie Monster!!"
Thank you for giving Joey a name, David. We appreciate that. Happy Skateboarding. I have signed on as a subscriber. Maybe you can do a video of Joey for us, one that shows her laughing, and show us what a beautiful lady she turned into!
Thank You, David. I think you should make a video of Joey Bucknee and put it on your website. I joined as a subscribe so I'll know if you can make a video of Joey, especially if you can have her laughing in it.
I am sorry to inform you, vwtch, and all others who were so gratified to learn of Joey's last name from another poster (David) that David was in fact only kidding. He doesn't know her. I wrote to him and he admitted he was just teasing. So now we're back to square one. I wonder if PBS would tell us if we asked? My guess: doubtful.
I had seen the alphabet and counting to 20 videos with Kermit and Joey. I didn't know there were any more! Thanks for uploading this! Are there any more of them?
It never ceases to amaze me how a little frog can have brought joy and wonder to people all around the world. It truly shows the pure goodness of people through Muppets, and what we've all been forgetting as we get older. Everything is so fast paced, we forget kindness, gentleness, and how well we can connect with one another after all.
Well, to varying degrees, ALL artists create, at the core, for themselves. Just ask one.
Henson was no different. But he was indeed the kind of artist who loved to make people happy--to bring as many people along for his mind trips as possible.
I just remembered *shudders* a similar interview I had with a puppet when I was this age.

Hey this is my cousin Joey.

That is the cutest thing ever....
Kermit: I have a tummy, too...
Joey: Way down there? (looking down at Jim Henson)
I squealed a little when she said that. If she only knew how cool it was to be sitting there, talking with Jim Henson as Kermit the Frog.

"You got a nice toungue there." Just this sentence alone would land Henson on a sexual offenders list these days. People are so paranoid.

Jim Henson was a genius.
A gentle person who enjoyed bringing joy to many people.
In Australia, stupid people worship false stars like Nicole Kidman who are bad at what they do, and only do it for themselves.
Jim Henson however did these things to actually bring happiness to people (he did to me!) and there was nobody better at using puppets.
They worked on many different levels.
There will never be another Jim Henson...

They always had a way with kids, didn't they?
Tidbit for fellow trivia buffs: the idea to have segments where the muppets would have un-scripted chats with kids like this was Caroll Spinney's.
