First of all, the maker of this video is an idiot. Here's why: Toyota recall does NOT include Lexus or Scion Products, and its not past 5 years, its 2007-2010. Also Toyota didn't recall ALL TOYOTAS, only 8 models and not all of those 8 are infected. And by the way, the gas pedal is NOT a Japanese part, the gas pedal is produced by CTS. Toyota stopped manufacturing and selling all infected vehicles because they want to do the right thing and fix their problem unlike other companies (FORD)

During the so-called "gas shortage" of the 80s the big 3 started to make small cars to compete with the Japanese because of consumer trends, they were the worst cars that the US ever made. Unfortunately, people continued to view American cars in this way. I won't deny that there were difficulties over the 80s and early 90s as American automakers evolved, but our trucks have always been superior for working people, and our cars are now back to above par.
