Our president sets himself up as God by opposing the very laws of God that has given our nation stability and greatness for over 200 years! Judgement of God over past nations often is accomplished by electing a leader that has the same moral decay as the majority of the culture that has elected him! Welcome to the United States of Sodom and Gomorrah! Thankyou. James Sasse. GodWhoisGod com
Hellooo, WAKE-UP! He is financed by muslims. That want to destroy Christian America. He supports things that go against the Word of God. I have never heard him say the words, Jesus Christ, is he "anti-christ"?
This is why I don't go to church. To say you disagree with his stance is one thing to say he has NO interest in Jesus is TOO MUCH. Done with church, I will stick to studying the Bible and learning how to witness to people with love and respect. I disagree completely with the President's statement, the problem is MacArthur's statement was even worse. Today's Christians are doing more damage than good. Its really sad.
@BlackBerean How was MacArthur's statement worse? The President obviously doesn't believe in the veracity of scripture, for if he did, he would have never made the statement he did, which was affirming of homosexual relationships. Homosexuality is not "admirable" in any way, shape or form in God's eyes. It is detestable in his sight. You call yourself a Berean, yet you're taking issue with something that was said which is scripturally accurate. Do you not see the hypocrisy in that?
In the very beginning when he become a senator I perceived some day he will become the president of the United States, also I know one Hussain removed in the same spirit hussain raised from dead now in the White House, my belief he is not a Christian, but against Christ doctrines God allowed him to be president so let all pray for him and his family to be saved.

Satan infiltrates people with weak, corrupt minds, and manipulates them into believing that decent, moral people like President Obama are "wrong" or "bad" for daring to stand up for God's will and universal equality and respect. God loves His gay children, and Mr. Obama is following in the Lord's lead. These delusional, filled-with-hate "Christians" are actually being controlled by Satan. They just lack the intellectual and moral resources to understand how much they shame God.
@GodCreatesGays2 So you are saying that you believe in God but not the Bible? If the Bible is not Gods Holy Word then what God are you talking about? ****** I believe in the God of the Bible (Jesus the Christ) & the Bible couldn't be any more clear that homosexuality is an abomination to God .
Right. Since the man-written Bible is riddled with mistakes & irrational myths, I prefer to put my faith in God, directly, instead. He doesn't make the mistakes men do.
"If the Bible is not Gods Holy Word"
It's not. It's the word of men, who wrote it in an era of great ignorance. We know better today.
"the Bible couldn't be any more clear that homosexuality is an abomination to God ."
America was founded on Christian principles? Ah , that explains the massacre of the Native population. Lets send the Cavalry to explain to the Sioux about Jesus ,and his great love (well ,explain to the pitiful survivors) ! America was founded on Genocide and plunder of the natural resources ,and was colonised at gunpoint. I guess Christians make a job of denying history ( and Geology ,Biology ,Chemistry ,Physics etc etc........)
@ilikezappa America's foundation on Christian principles can be found in the constitution and in the general morality behind our laws.
The massacre of the native Americans isn't relevant to the -foundation- of the country, i.e. what the nation was built upon. Whether or not all of the early settlers or founding fathers behaved in a manner to be expected of a Christian is equally irrelevant.
@brad175 Tell that to a Sioux. Or tell someone who lost their job instead the banker who caused it about the "morality" of the American legal system. Big Business runs America ,and anyone or any nation who gets in the way better watch out, or they will get a nice Christian B52 full of Napalm dropped on their village. You have a rather Rose- Coloured view of the way the world works Brad.
There are two kinds of people, those in the world and of it, those in the world and not of it. Those who want to please man, the other God. Politics today is a vote game to please the masses and God is left out. The Popes, which do the same, bringing in pagan sects to worship with them in the Vatican, kissing the Koran, the admix I liken to trying to fit God into what their current agenda is
Well Obama clearly isn't a Christian. But I don't believe we've EVER had Christian president in America, as America is not now nor has it ever been a Christian nation. I love and respect MacArthur greatly but his suggestion that America was founded on Christian principles is completely wrong. Now America might have been formed under the GUISE of Christianity but America was a true Christian nation then we would still be one today, and sadly we are not. So no I don't buy that BS at all.
@sings83 So you have never been to the Supreme Court where the 10 Commandments are ALL OVER that building. Or how about the 13 colonies original Constitutions, even Pro-homosexual Mass. has a God/Biblical worded Document. Your history is decayed at best.
It was founded on Christian principals. But sine none of us on this forum met or spoke with any signer of the DOI, we would be guessing at best. Based on what we do know, the stood FIRM on Christian doctrine.
@rmlrobl Yeah that sounds great on paper and in theory. Again America was founded on the GUISE of Christianity but this nation has never been a theocracy, and even from it's inception the whole purpose of the Europeans coming here was so that people would be free to practice their religion as they saw fit. This nation has always been unchristian in behavior. Just because "In God We Trust" is on the dollar bill and we say "Under God" during the pledge does NOT make us a Christian nation.
@rmlrobl Further being a born believer is about action because you can say you are a Christian all day long but if your actions betray your confession then we have to go by the actions. You judge a tree by it's fruit, if you claim to be an apple tree but ALL you produce are lemons then clearly you are NOT an apple tree but a lemon tree. Given the history of the US and it's constant sinning I don't see how anyone could call this a Christian nation. Yes there are Christians here but that's it.
@sings83 i know and understand...The Pilgrims and Puritans who came here were Christian and Godly. Were the founding fathers...very debatable. But I refer to the beginning..sorry for the Confusion.
"and you shall know them by their fruit"..Obama is NOT a Christian. Sorry. Just bc u goto church does not make u a Christian..he is a Xtian. Thats about it. look at his beliefs, he mocks the Bible..no..he is a wolf.
McCain - DIDN'T EVER HAVE A PASTOR OR CHURCH and was a KILLER in war!
And you're saying that OBAMA IS THE "NON CHRISTIAN"??
Are you people CRAZY or just saying STUPID things. Wake up!!
THE CHRISTIANS WERE VOTING FOR "THE REAL NON CHRISTIAN" WHICH WAS McCAIN, OBAMA HAD A CHURCH & A PASTOR - Mc CAIN DIDN'T OR EVER HAS, OH BUT HE USED TO KILL PEOPLE !!
What's WRONG with you people you need to WAKE UP!!!
God has allowed satan to put obama in power and I'm reasonably sure it is only one drop in the bucket toward preparing the way for the antichrist. Obama is obviously, to a Christian, a tool of satan and nothing more. I expect that the world would have to be conditioned before the antichrist can be accepted by it so unanimously. Obama is only a small part of that conditioning. He will come and go as all world leaders do and the changes he leaves behind will draw us closer to the end of days.
MacArthur's a scumbag for saying this. Not a Christian? Your presumption has reached a new low. Overturning everything this country has ever believed in? Have you ever even opened a book? Some degree-bearing institution actually conferred on you a degree??
@mowriter America was founded on biblical principles that was Dr John Mac Arthur's point, and some of the things coming out of Obama's month are diametrically opposed to biblical teaching, views no genuine christian would espouse
@jmanexpress :Founded on biblical principles does not equal "Christian Nation", in the same meaning of the word that Iran is an "Islamic Nation". As for the actual context of the actual video? Respecting gays and lesbians as contributing members of society is not anti-Christian. Since you take issue with it, though, Obama is speaking as President of ALL Americans, not just Christian Americans, and as such has to be leader of non-Christians...or even gays, as a result.
hey fuck holes keep church and state separate. do not vote for someone because of their religion. when has religion ever helped this world? the only thing i agree with when it comes to obama is his views on gays. they are real people who deserve the same rights as everyone else. behind church doors hide child rapists, thieves, liars, brainwashing, scare tactics and much more.
im sure Obama would like to do many things John MacA. want him to do, but the problem is, one false word and Obama is history... and Obama knows that and he dont want to leave yet. xD
This video is very enlightening. I was one that did not understand why Christians were so opposed to Obama. Most of the stuff I heard were accusations without base or real explanations.
Thank you.
But still, we should pray for our governors and bless those who curse us, as the early Christians did for the Roman persecutors.
Can we stop calling this tit "Dr". He got his bogus qualifications from a bible college, which means they have the same academic value as toilet paper. That is like allowing Dr John ,the blues guy, to remove your appendix. Macarthur believes in witchcraft. He should be ridiculed ,not taken seriously.
Those who live by Levitical codes should not eat shrimp. Those who read the story of Soddom and Gomorrah should be neighborly, especially so since the story is so important it is repeated asthe destruction of the tribe of Benjamine later. Those who still think the earth is the center of the universe and science isn't real should get off the Internet TV and radio.
The Bible tells us that homosexuality is a sin.Any person who contradicts God is showing that they are deluded by pride.Wisdom is justified by its children. What is the fruit of the spirit of Obama,It is a prideful person who values their opinion over God's.I'm sure that gives you a clue as to who speaks to his mind."Did God really say?"
This reminds me how the false apostle Paul is so proud, which we know he is, that he says his god sent a messanger of satan to keep him humble. Paul does not need the holy spirit to eradicate pride from his heart, no, all he needs is satan.
Wow! Jesus warned about this wolf in sheep's clothing. Jesus said if any man said he returned, do not believe him. Mat4. Paul said he returned. 1 Cor 15
This motherfuckers are so deceptive and skillfull at inflating comments to serve a political or racial purpouse that is dengerous. That is why religion is such a manace because it is used as a political tool and a means of delivering lies unopposed.
What is the big deal. OF COURSE OBAMA is not a christian. Neither was Bush; and certainly neither was Truman who perpetrated that war crime of bombing Hiroshima after already knowing that the japanese were considering surrender.
What is this obsession with religion the americans have? after all they have not the SLIGHTEST intention of obeying the Bible on ANYTHING!!
although correct, McCarthur overstates the case that Jesus didn't speak on politics... one example-
Luke 13:31 On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, "Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You." And He said to them, "Go, tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.'
It looks like a duck, it quacks like a duck, What is it? A duck of course! Are we judging the duck? Not! We are just describing what it is. Obama is just what he is. A book can't be judged by its cover, but a christian is judged by the way he behaves and acts. (Paul Washer). Saying the truth about something or somebody judging by the facts is not a bad thing.
@Yusha1965@Yusha, well said!! We will know them by their fruits. An apple tree does not grow cherries!! When you constantly go against the things of God and call yourself a Christian, you open the flood gates for opinion. Christians are called to a higher standard than nonbelievers so when you use the title, back it up!!
This is similiar how Jesus exposed the false apostle Paul in Rev2. He never mentions Paul, but clearly cheers Ephesians for rejecting Paul.He clearly shows how Paul is that one teaching the doctrine Balaam by negating God's law and teaching to eat meat offered to idols which is forbidden.
James and the Epistles of John also take the same approach as taught by Jesus. They attack his doctrine and do not name him.The closest we get is James calling Paul a foolish, vain man. James 2.
@nautiloid (There is no possible way Mac could know if Obama is a Christian or not. At least that's what the Bible says.)
Please share the scripture that agrees with what you just stated. I see this stated by Jesus in scripture:
Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Following that scripture, we see a people who use the name of Jesus, but He says that He never knew them. What fruit do you think was missing or added for Jesus to have said that?
@nautiloid The scripture pertaining to what He calls sin, you will see there are allot of things He let Jesus die for and like things mentioned, and to openly declare what God hates with an okay attitude, is an un Godly attitude. To honestly admit sin is sin is a Godly attitude. The difference here is that God says in His eyes what sin is, and it is not right declaring it is ok. This is not partial to one or the other. Grace and mercy come through the love of God, His provision for you personally
First ,we are Humans, let us preach HUMANITY., What differance does it make if one is a Christian, Muslim, Hindu and so on. Love All Serve all, that is the only way to GOD. God is Love and Love is God, therefore Love everyone.
@narendralodhia no sweetie, Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." That is the ONLY way to the ONE, TRUE and LIVING GOD. I pray He would reveal himself to you as you seek the truth.
@narendralodhia God so loved the world that He sent his only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him will not Parish but have everlasting life. Whoever believes in His SON, not Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism etc... If you love, then you will share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
that is NOT John MacArthur in this interview by the way. Also, Jesus teaches that none can be made righteous before God without Him. Jesus didn't speak on politics because He spoke on what it meant to know Him with real living faith, and how that changes a person's life.. which carries over into all categories of our lives. We are to live righteously, in purity, holiness, etc, because He gives His Redeemed the ability and desires to do so through His Spirit.
@bcfstudent07 No , we can live righteously without the blessing of a Jewish Zombie. That idea is just a curse for mankind . We are better than feeble sheep.
Anybody with a brain would know that Obama is anything but Christian, and any Christian with Holy Ghost discernment would know that John McArthur is a false teacher.
The truth of the matter is neither "Dr." John MacArthur nor Paul Edwards know what Jesus would say. Everything they believe in is based on JUDGING others. Very un-Christ-like aka ANTI-CHRIST (Most "Christians").
@kkdub79 You sound like the typical person who judges someone based on 2 and a half minutes of a youtube vid. Listen to MacAuther's radio broadcast and hopefully that broaden your understanding on what kind of preacher he is.
@kkdub79 He does sound a little harsh at times' I'll give you that. But I look past his delivery and test his words in light of scripture. I find no fault then.
Barack Obama ....if he is a Christian....doesn't bring anything he believes from the bible into the workplace.
That said, I don't know anyone that is able to totally set aside everything they claim to believe in....for all their waking hours .....like he seems to.....
Perhaps...just perhaps...he's NOT a Christian after all, as he claims to be...but says he is when it's politically expedient. Now that makes more sense.

in that one interview he totally slips up and says "my muslim faith...er...my Christian faith..." come on people! or should i say "sheeple"?!?! the man can't even talk without a teleprompter! like him, i am half black and half white. i am neither all one or the other, and neither is he! he is not our "first black president"! that pisses me off...he is hailed for the fact that he is black when he's not! he is mulatto.that alan keyes debate is excellent. now HE should be our first black president!
Thank you for exposing the bad fruits of Barak Obama in his siding with same sex relationships and marriages. It is definitely a non Christian statement and stand by Barak Obama against Jesus Christ and the scriptures in the holy bible.
@nodoubt257 that's right. you are a sinner, by the way. God gives grace to sinners. Christ died for the sins of the world, not just for you ignorant self righteous ego centric pseudo spiritual bullies. The U.S. is not a christian nation nor was it intended to be. Unfortunately Politicians us christianity to get votes. by giving churches tax dollars to not teach bible doctrine. Obama is a politician not a pastor of a nation.
@eche73 you should be worried about your own soul, not mine. You will have to stand before God and give an account for yourself. I know I am a sinner and I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I'm not self righteous. I just know what I believe and my faith is in God through Jesus Christ. That is where I'm confident. Not in myself.
By the way jamexpress. I wasn't praying that your mind be changed, but that God be with you. I really don't care what you believe. I think God is bigger than both of us and both of our versions of a Truth far more complex than any of us can ever begin to fathom. My only prayer for you is that you be blessed in every good way. That is my prayer for everyone. Hope that clears up the misunderstanding. Have a good day.
You may very well be the first person I have ever encountered so sure of himself that prayer wasn't welcomed. Hope you don't mind, but I'll pray anyway. It's one of those hermeneutical principles I like to live by. You know? Praying without ceasing. Blessing those who curse me. Loving neighbor as self. . Judging not.
(RESPONSE 6)@jmanexpress, I have continued with this conversation for far longer than warranted. Clearly I am not going to change your mind, nor will you change mine. I do want you to know that I am praying for you and for all who have posted here both in favor of MacArthur's words and against them. I wish you the best. May you know God's perfect love and may others see Christ through you. May you be blessed.
@blessingwaypath No need to pray for me, as there is no error on my part, I love Christ and will honor him through careful handling of his word, I pray you would do the same
@kkdub79 You're welcome. Hatred and prejudice never make sense accept to those who hate. Love only makes sense to those capable of opening their hearts to love.
(RESPONSE 5)You have tried continually to make this discussion about something it is not as a way of avoiding the real issue. MacArthur and others like him are not promoting Christianity when they condemn others like Graham, Olsteen, Bell, the Pope, Masons and the President. Condemnation helps no one. It does far more harm than good. It divides and separates and keeps the world at war with itself.
@blessingwaypath What I have shared with you is a reflection of historic biblical Christianity; you have totally misunderstood, or misrepresented what I have said. Once again you don’t appreciate interrupting the bible holistically, which is a basic hermeneutical principle. Yes I am aware of John 3:16 “that whoever believes in him shall not perish” now that passage on its own implies mere intellectual accent to who Jesus is, gets you saved when the necessity of repentance and trust/obedience
@blessingwaypath you clearly do not understand Jesus & what He did during his time on earth. He called people out who were leaders that were clearly leading others astray. It is our duty as Christians to test the spirits & see if they be true. We do not tolerate sin or things that go against God & His holiness. We must stand for what is right. Loving our neighbor is speaking the truth of the gospel so all may know the one true & living God. All men are accountable, doesn't matter who they are.
@iamtamarichka, Jesus called out the Sadducees and Pharisees for leading others astray with their extreme self-arrogance, pride and judgment. Do you honestly think that pointing out your neighbors sin for all the world to see is an act of love? All men may be accountable, but none of them are accountable to you. Perhaps you're due a re-read of the Gospels. Pay close attention to the red words. They're real zingers.
@blessingwaypath I do read them. Yes I do believe Jesus called out those men because they were leading others astray, sin is sin. Doesn't matter what it is, if men are in leadership and are leading others astray they need to be called out. Sadly though it's not just their fault but the followers who are not testing these teachings and things these leaders are doing against the Word of God. I do not go around seeking out sin but I do guard my heart and test things against what the Word says.
@iamtamarichka I think you are absolutely right about it being our responsibility as followers of Christ to call out the leaders of our faith. But remember Obama was not elected to be our spiritual leader but our political one. And to call him out as MacArthur did is an abomination to everything Jesus taught. . Not only do such actions divide the nation, but if such a statement were to dissuade even one Obama supporter from seeking Christ it would be a destroyer of souls as well.
@blessingwaypath furthermore I do not expect men who are not Christians in leadership to act as if they have strong morals about anything. But those who claim to be Christians need to keep God's commandments. If Obama was truly a Christian as he claims,he would not speak against God's commands as he did in this video. He would uphold God's commands over the Laws of man because He would fear the Lord and understand what it means to truly be a Christian not a Politician.
@iamtamarichka, not all Christians are opposed to accepting homosexuality as a life choice. The more liberal denominations, like the United Church of Christ, have changed their positions on homosexuality, in recent years, to adopt a more inclusive stance. And MacArthur likes it or not or agrees or not, they still consider themselves Christian.
@blessingwaypath but the word of God clearly tells us, "...Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." I Corinthians 6:9-11 The key word here being WERE.
@iamtamarichka And no where in that scripture does it sau that because someone else has sinned you are given a get out of loving free card. Jesus commanded that you love your neighbor, bless your enemy and forgive everyone. Loving is our job. Judging is God's job.
@blessingwaypath so if you have brothers or sisters you never ever confront them if they are doing wrong? You just let them go down the wrong path never to try and point them in the right direction? If they were about to walk in front of a train wouldn't you pull them from it? That is love, and sometimes its harsh but it is love. Jesus loves us but he does not tolerate sin. He continually reminds us in the scriptures about who will inherit the Kingdom of Heaven and who will not.
@iamtamarichka The moment you begin to judge someone you lose any power of persuasion. I would much rather interact as a non-judgmental, loving Christian than to tell them they are going to hell . My job is not to point out who will not enter the Kingdom, but to behave in such a way that I am guaranteed entrance. In that way, God can use me as an instrument of persuasion. The other way, I become an instrument of hate. Love changes people. Judgment hardens them.
@blessingwaypathYou do realize that in addition to God's love and compassion, He is also just and holy.God's justice compels Him to judge and punish sin/evil he doesn't just sweep it under the rug and say "boys will be boys" .He is also Holy which means he can not co exist with sin He is wholly set about from it.In fact God's holiness is the moral characteristic most emphasized in scripture
@jmanexpress Of course. I also realize it's God's business, not mine. You folks sure are eager to do God's job for Him. Too bad you're not even more eager to love. "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment that you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? "Matthew 7:1-3
@blessingwaypathyou see this is the problem I have with you, as soon as I mention Characteristics of God that are confronting or features of the Gospel that people may find offensive you just lapse into “stop being judgmental” you have to accept that Gospel will be “ foolishness to those who are perishing” once again we go around in circles,
@jmanexpressThere is a distinct difference between lapsing and staying on point. Besides, I thought it was already established that you and I are not in agreement. If you do not like the circular dance of this particular argument, then please, step off the dance floor.
Scripture also said God is love and that he forgives sin. Instead of being so keen on being his earthly representative in the judgment and condemnation department, why don't you try asking for a gig in the love and forgiveness department?
@blessingwaypath I am not judging anyone, that’s not my job, but I am obligated to teach/preach the word in its fullness, If you don’t you do people a greater disservice, by either giving them a watered down gospel, or a false/incomplete conception of God
@blessingwaypath you are already judging those you accuse of judging *grins* Jesus told people to repent. So therefore shows there are things to repent from. Jesus was the ultimate form of Love and look what we did to him. What you just said is you do not want to confront anyone as to assure yourself a place in heaven, yet are willing for others to go to hell for your comfort? The Gospel must show us our sin before we ever can understand the need of a Savior. That is the good news!
@iamtamarichka You're right. What at first began as a philosophical discussion has led me away from loving all participants to cross that fine line into judgment. Please forgive me for doing so. Judging others is so easy. Loving others unconditionally is considerably more difficult. Guess that's why they say the way to Heaven is so narrow. it is that is so easy to step off the path. Thank you for reminding me. This is my final comment on this matter. Be blessed.
@jmanexpress people need to realize if Jesus truly walked in this "love and tolerance" that they have made him to have walked in their minds, He never would have been crucified. The gospel is offensive, it calls us to examine ourselves before the God of the universe and we always come up short, doomed to death. Thank God for Jesus bridging that gap so we may repent, trust in Him and walk in His ways and have life. That is good news! Speak the truth in Love! Never back down from that :)
@brizzoke You are free to but i think it's too long *laughs* Be blessed today as you seek our great God and may He continue to draw you to Him as you do!
@blessingwaypath If you accept homosexuality as a life choice you go against God's Word & you choose to make the gospel according to self instead of Christ. My husband lived a homosexual lifestyle, God saved him & now as all Christians are called to do, has turned from his sin & trusts God to keep him from it daily. As I said before sin is sin. It's our relationship to it after God saves us that shows us if we are truly born again. God is amazing and can bring you out of any sin by His grace
(RESPONSE 4) MacArthur is clearly a Calvinist, which is fine if that is what he wants to believe. What I have been trying to say throughout the course of this discussion is that the time has come for us to stop fighting among ourselves about religion. To call the President a non-Christian simply because he does not follow the same Calvinist beliefs as MacArthur is like saying only Baptists can go to heaven and everyone else is hell bound. It does nothing to help anyone. It only perpetuates hate.
(RESPONSE 3) Calling a sin a sin is not hateful, but categorizing one sin as worse than another is. Sin is sin. Plain and simple. Jesus came to save us from our sins. Not just some sins. Not just those we don't participate in, but ALL sin. You cannot judge one sin as unforgiveable and another as a minor offense. You cannot have salvation simply by your definition of what you want to be saved from. Jesus came for all sinners, not just those you have deemed respectable.
(RESPONSE 2) A true Gospel presentation does not start with condemnation. It starts and ends with love. Scripture does not say that God so condemned the world, he sent his only begotten son. It says he so loved the world. To portray a hateful God in order to justify feelings of hatred toward that which is not understandable, does nothing to advance Christianity but only divides and separates. Frankly I would rather go to hell than spend eternity with your God. I feel so terribly sorry for you.
(RESPONSE 1)Yes, @jmanexpress, you are obligated to love all people equally regardless of sexual preference. The greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself. The command does not stipulate that the neighbor must frst be heterosexual. It doesn't even say he need be free of sin. You are simply to love him. Not judge him. Not condemn him. Not even save him. Just love him as you love yourself. Not my words. Christ's.
Nor do you need the aforementioned PHD @jamexpress to understand Jesus' purpose. Jesus came to save sinners, not condemn them. He commissioned followers to spread the Good News, not blackball others. You have continually insisted on making this discussion about homosexuality when that is not what it is about. Can't you see? Arrogance and hatred hidden behind scripture is still arrogance and hatred. The Word makes it no sweeter. My prayer is that someday you'll realize that. .
@blessingwaypath (PART 1) So categorizing adulterer, fornication and lust as sin would be hateful? Jesus categorized behavior throughout his entire ministry; there is nothing more loving than truth, delivered with compassion and grace of course. All people regardless of sexual preference have equal innate intrinsic value because we are all created in the image of God, so I as a Christian am obligated to love all people equally regardless of sexual preference.
@blessingwaypath (PART 4) You can’t give people a solution to a problem they don’t acknowledge, people need to understand what they are being saved from. It would be like me going around saying….. “66 is the answer!” that makes no sense on its own, but when you give people the equation…..30 +36 =…now it makes perfect sense.Christ dies on the cross as a substitute for me, to bridge the chasm between a Holy God and sinners
@blessingwaypath (PART 2) Now me and my homosexual have the same problem we have both perverted the gift of sexuality that God has given us, me through my heterosexual lust, and him through his homosexual lifestyle, we both need the saving and transformative power of the Gospel.
(PART 3) A true Gospel presentation must start with a sense of condemnation, which is prompted by the realization that God is Holy we have violated Gods perfect, holy moral law, because God is just the wages of that violation (sin) is death and hell, I certainly don’t deserve heaven, nobody does. Once people understand the dilemma, that there is an insurmountable chasm between a Holy God and sinful man, then we can talk about how Christ dies on the cross to bear the punishment, we deserve
Furthermore, CBALLEN, my posts were never in reference to homosexuality, but rather to MacArthur's claim that the President is not a Christian because he does not follow the very narrow guidelines established by a select few . There are 2.1 million Christians in the world, and over 38,000 denominations, including Catholics, Methodists, Unitarians and others whose doctrine is not in agreement with MacArthur's.And he freely condemns them all. You don't see something funny with that?
@CBALLEN An “abomination” refers to that which is out of harmony with God's character. Interestingly Jesus even used the word once: "And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. And he said unto them, “Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is ABOMINATION in the sight of God.” Luke 16: 15-16. Jesus doesn't even mention homosexuality. Imagine that!
"These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies, and HE THAT SOWETH DISCORD AMONG HIS BRETHREN." Proverbs 6:16-19. What's that they say about those who live in glass houses? Oh, yeah, it says they shouldn't throw stones.
The Bible tells us that homosexuality is an abomination. Leviticus 11:10 says lobsters are an abomination. Guess that means MacArthur doesn't eat lobster and condemns those who do. Deut 22:5 says women wearing jeans is an abomination. Uh-oh. And what about Deut.24:4? According to it, Mitch Daniels wife is an abomination. Do you suppose MacArthur has a youtube video planned for her? My point is scripture is supposed to be a handbook on how to live not on whom to judge.
@blessingwaypath Many laws that existed in the O.T. were for Jews only, homosexuality is condemned in both the new and O.t.,STOP TRYING TO MAKE PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT AN ABOMINATION IS OK FOR CHRISTIANS,YOU ARE A WOLF.
@DallasNeedsADentist. If rebuking homosexuality was the only meaning behind MacArthur's statement then why is the video entitled "MacArthur Calls Obama A Non-Christian?" Rebuking sin is one thing. Judging others as sinners and condemning them to hell because they have a different viewpoint is another. Apparently heaven is a very small place. There only seems to be room for MacArthur and those few who see through the same judgment-colored glasses as he,
@jmanexpress, Jesus told us to eliminate the sins in our own lives rather than to pass judgment or look down on others. For if we judge other people harshly, we will, in turn, be judged harshly. Therefore, MacArthur's words "dramatically oppose scripture." Romans 14:10-13, 1 Corinthians 4:5, Matthew 5:21-22. 2, Timothy 3:2-7. Taking scripture out of context to support a conservative viewpoint does nothing but divide. God's grace is for all, not just a select few.
@blessingwaypath - Yes but that doesn't make homosexuality okay. John M. is merely rebuking a sinful act. God made it very clear that it is wrong because it is an abomination. This does not mean that "God hates fags" as many so called "Christians" claim. It just labels homosexualty as a sin and just like any other sin it is forgivable through grace if you accpet Christ. What I'm saying is that homosexuals should try to obstain from any kind of sexual activity and stay single, focusing on God.
@blessingwaypath You don’t need a PHD in hermeneutics to understand the biblical stance concerning homosexuality is. It’s crystal clear in scripture. There is a vast difference between an attitude of judgmentalism with is self righteous and arrogant and judging acts by the word of God, which is the criteria. the verses you sighted to support your argument show a lack of appreciation for context and interrupting the bible holistically (systematic theology)
Totally in agreement. This is the ultimate in "Lawlessness" and outright blasphemy against God's holy laws in the scriptures. To put it bluntly, excrement comes out one end and babies come out another. How did God mean it to be any other way? A woman's anatomy is created distinctively for a man and for the purpose to create life and to become one flesh. Every child deserves a mother and a father. It's the supreme example for children to experience a harmonious way of life.
jmanexpress, telling like it is would be stating that Obama made a statement about the relationships of two men or two women. Stating that Obama is not a Christian because he made such a statement is supposition and judgment. No one can know another's relationship with Christ unless he can see into the other's heart. And lest we forget, Jesus did not instruct his followers in the ways of spiritual arrogance and self-righteousness, but rather in the ways of love and forgiveness.
@blessingwaypath obviously its not anyone's place to judge a persons relationship with Christ ,however a true christian who has a love and reverence for Christ and the word of God, I don't think would be making statements like this that are diametrically oppose to scripture.
"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." 1 Timothy 2:1-6.
"For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God." Romans 13
If MacArthur feels this way about the president of the United States, why is he not praying for a renewing of his mind rather than passing judgment against him? The bible tells us to pray without ceasing and that our Father in Heaven will give us whatever we ask if we will believe. Rather than condemning him,, why is this self-processed biblical scholar not dropping to his knees in prayer asking God to renew Obama's mind and heal the wounds in this country caused by the spewing of hatred.
What then, Mr. Macarthur? Apply Leviticus 20:27? The president may be not be right on this one, but the Bible is certainly wrong. Stoning people to death is an evil idea which can only come from perverted minds.
John M, today's fundamentalist Christians go against everything Jesus Christ taught.
They are quick to go to war. They divide rather than unite. They are greedy, selfish and generally uncaring about others.
Any kind of inequality would be somthing Jesus would oppose, yet Fundamentalists embraced this practice at all times. Slavery, segregation, hate of foreigners, and still legally they practice hate of gays.
Jesus would call Fundamentalists what they are: Modern Day Pharisees
We do not hate people who engage in this sin. We hate the sin they are engaging in. I JOHN 8-9, "Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love." In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him." Please let's get that straight once and for all. We hate all sin regardless of what it is.
This is why true christians argue so much against homosexuality, because marriage between man and woman is what God created as our bible explains right from the day of creation of man and then woman man being the head of the family, woman being the softer more gentle feminism turns this around too.
All I can say is Where is the Love? Every human past, present and future is totally dependent on the loving sacrifice of Christ. In him there is no condemnation. With him I have a future, the fine gentleman Billy Graham has a future and Barack Obama has a future. Billy Graham did not waste his time condemning his fellow man. He spent his time preaching the Gospel to all those he could possibly reach.
@uncosu84 why do you use the love of God as a way of justifying unbelievers? Billy Graham and Obama are not true Christians.you sound catholic, why do you not also talk about the wrath of God against sinners?
If you were to go to Obama personally and tell him that he is doing a fine job and God loves him then you would be a murderer of the soul and you would simply send him back to the world justified in his sin.
I suggest you go listen to some Paul Washer sermons.
@HackerzInc These are my final words here: Jesus(God) took his own wrath upon himself. Thankfully, Billy Graham, Barack Obama, and I, a poor, unknown farmer, have passed from fear into love. We are all well aware of our sin, are ashamed of it, and hate it, but we have been forgiven. I look forward to spending time with both men in eternity.
Any man that stands in judgment of another man is treading on dangerous ground. I'll leave that job to God.
@uncosu84 I understand you, however Jesus Didn't die for THE people, he died for HIS people, those who would come to him in REPENTANCE and FAITH.
Everyone is aware of their sin, being aware of sin is not the question but the question is, have they truly turned to Christ.
If Obama and Billy Graham are not saved, how can you look forward to seeing them in heaven? Of-course that's only if they are saved in the future, but for now these men are no doubt non-Christians.
liberal is just another word for rebel - in this case against God's natural order or if you are a "God-a-phobe" against even Darwin's natural order - the Bible specifically states in Leviticus that a man lying down with another man is an ABOMINATION to God - not just a no-no - an ABOMINATION. A "gay christian" is an oxymoron with an emphasis on the moron.
It is a choice as with any sin. We decide whether we will partake of that sin or not. The Word of God says, Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7 The problem is that people are not resisting and being strong enough to fight the temptations until he is completely gone. To live means to fight..

BlackBerean 1 week ago
@BlackBerean How was MacArthur's statement worse? The President obviously doesn't believe in the veracity of scripture, for if he did, he would have never made the statement he did, which was affirming of homosexual relationships. Homosexuality is not "admirable" in any way, shape or form in God's eyes. It is detestable in his sight. You call yourself a Berean, yet you're taking issue with something that was said which is scripturally accurate. Do you not see the hypocrisy in that?

Satan infiltrates people with weak, corrupt minds, and manipulates them into believing that decent, moral people like President Obama are "wrong" or "bad" for daring to stand up for God's will and universal equality and respect. God loves His gay children, and Mr. Obama is following in the Lord's lead. These delusional, filled-with-hate "Christians" are actually being controlled by Satan. They just lack the intellectual and moral resources to understand how much they shame God.

Right. Since the man-written Bible is riddled with mistakes & irrational myths, I prefer to put my faith in God, directly, instead. He doesn't make the mistakes men do.

It's not. It's the word of men, who wrote it in an era of great ignorance. We know better today.

I guess Christians make a job of denying history ( and Geology ,Biology ,Chemistry ,Physics etc etc........)
ilikezappa 2 months ago
@ilikezappa America's foundation on Christian principles can be found in the constitution and in the general morality behind our laws.
The massacre of the native Americans isn't relevant to the -foundation- of the country, i.e. what the nation was built upon. Whether or not all of the early settlers or founding fathers behaved in a manner to be expected of a Christian is equally irrelevant.
brad175 1 month ago
@brad175 Tell that to a Sioux. Or tell someone who lost their job instead the banker who caused it about the "morality" of the American legal system. Big Business runs America ,and anyone or any nation who gets in the way better watch out, or they will get a nice Christian B52 full of Napalm dropped on their village. You have a rather Rose- Coloured view of the way the world works Brad.

TheLionessjudah 2 months ago 2
Well Obama clearly isn't a Christian. But I don't believe we've EVER had Christian president in America, as America is not now nor has it ever been a Christian nation. I love and respect MacArthur greatly but his suggestion that America was founded on Christian principles is completely wrong. Now America might have been formed under the GUISE of Christianity but America was a true Christian nation then we would still be one today, and sadly we are not. So no I don't buy that BS at all.
sings83 2 months ago
@sings83 So you have never been to the Supreme Court where the 10 Commandments are ALL OVER that building. Or how about the 13 colonies original Constitutions, even Pro-homosexual Mass. has a God/Biblical worded Document. Your history is decayed at best.
It was founded on Christian principals. But sine none of us on this forum met or spoke with any signer of the DOI, we would be guessing at best. Based on what we do know, the stood FIRM on Christian doctrine.
rmlrobl 2 months ago
@rmlrobl Yeah that sounds great on paper and in theory. Again America was founded on the GUISE of Christianity but this nation has never been a theocracy, and even from it's inception the whole purpose of the Europeans coming here was so that people would be free to practice their religion as they saw fit. This nation has always been unchristian in behavior. Just because "In God We Trust" is on the dollar bill and we say "Under God" during the pledge does NOT make us a Christian nation.
sings83 2 months ago
@rmlrobl Further being a born believer is about action because you can say you are a Christian all day long but if your actions betray your confession then we have to go by the actions. You judge a tree by it's fruit, if you claim to be an apple tree but ALL you produce are lemons then clearly you are NOT an apple tree but a lemon tree. Given the history of the US and it's constant sinning I don't see how anyone could call this a Christian nation. Yes there are Christians here but that's it.

@jmanexpress :Founded on biblical principles does not equal "Christian Nation", in the same meaning of the word that Iran is an "Islamic Nation". As for the actual context of the actual video? although correct, McCarthur overstates the case that Jesus didn't speak on politics... one example-
Luke 13:31 On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, "Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You." And He said to them, "Go, tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.'

James 2.

AllForYeshua 6 months ago
@nautiloid The scripture pertaining to what He calls sin, you will see there are allot of things He let Jesus die for and like things mentioned, and to openly declare what God hates with an okay attitude, is an un Godly attitude. To honestly admit sin is sin is a Godly attitude. The difference here is that God says in His eyes what sin is, and it is not right declaring it is ok. This is not partial to one or the other. Grace and mercy come through the love of God, His provision for you personally

that is NOT John MacArthur in this interview by the way. Also, Jesus teaches that none can be made righteous before God without Him. @nodoubt257 that's right. you are a sinner, by the way. God gives grace to sinners.

Have a good day.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
You may very well be the first person I have ever encountered so sure of himself that prayer wasn't welcomed. Hope you don't mind, but I'll pray anyway. It's one of those hermeneutical principles I like to live by. You know? Praying without ceasing. Blessing those who curse me. Loving neighbor as self. . Judging not.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
(RESPONSE 6)@jmanexpress, I have continued with this conversation for far longer than warranted. Clearly I am not going to change your mind, nor will you change mine. I do want you to know that I am praying for you and for all who have posted here both in favor of MacArthur's words and against them. I wish you the best. May you know God's perfect love and may others see Christ through you. May you be blessed.

blessingwaypath 7 months ago
(RESPONSE 5)You have tried continually to make this discussion about something it is not as a way of avoiding the real issue. MacArthur and others like him are not promoting Christianity when they condemn others like Graham, Olsteen, Bell, the Pope, Masons and the President. Condemnation helps no one. It does far more harm than good. It divides and separates and keeps the world at war with itself.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
@blessingwaypath What I have shared with you is a reflection of historic biblical Christianity; you have totally misunderstood, or misrepresented what I have said. Once again you don’t appreciate interrupting the bible holistically, which is a basic hermeneutical principle. Yes I am aware of John 3:16 “that whoever believes in him shall not perish” now that passage on its own implies mere intellectual accent to who Jesus is, gets you saved when the necessity of repentance and trust/obedience
jmanexpress 8 months ago
@blessingwaypath you clearly do not understand Jesus & what He did during his time on earth. He called people out who were leaders that were clearly leading others astray. It is our duty as Christians to test the spirits & see if they be true. We do not tolerate sin or things that go against God & His holiness. We must stand for what is right. Loving our neighbor is speaking the truth of the gospel so all may know the one true & living God. All men are accountable, doesn't matter who they are.
iamtamarichka 8 months ago
@iamtamarichka, Jesus called out the Sadducees and Pharisees for leading others astray with their extreme self-arrogance, pride and judgment. Do you honestly think that pointing out your neighbors sin for all the world to see is an act of love? All men may be accountable, but none of them are accountable to you. Perhaps you're due a re-read of the Gospels. Pay close attention to the red words. They're real zingers.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
@blessingwaypath I do read them. Yes I do believe Jesus called out those men because they were leading others astray, sin is sin. Doesn't matter what it is, if men are in leadership and are leading others astray they need to be called out. Sadly though it's not just their fault but the followers who are not testing these teachings and things these leaders are doing against the Word of God. I do not go around seeking out sin but I do guard my heart and test things against what the Word says.
iamtamarichka 8 months ago
@iamtamarichka I think you are absolutely right about it being our responsibility as followers of Christ to call out the leaders of our faith. But remember Obama was not elected to be our spiritual leader but our political one. And to call him out as MacArthur did is an abomination to everything Jesus taught. . Not only do such actions divide the nation, but if such a statement were to dissuade even one Obama supporter from seeking Christ it would be a destroyer of souls as well.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
@blessingwaypath furthermore I do not expect men who are not Christians in leadership to act as if they have strong morals about anything. But those who claim to be Christians need to keep God's commandments. If Obama was truly a Christian as he claims,he would not speak against God's commands as he did in this video. He would uphold God's commands over the Laws of man because He would fear the Lord and understand what it means to truly be a Christian not a Politician.
iamtamarichka 8 months ago
@iamtamarichka, not all Christians are opposed to accepting homosexuality as a life choice. The more liberal denominations, like the United Church of Christ, have changed their positions on homosexuality, in recent years, to adopt a more inclusive stance. And MacArthur likes it or not or agrees or not, they still consider themselves Christian.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
@blessingwaypath but the word of God clearly tells us, "...Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." I Corinthians 6:9-11 The key word here being WERE.
iamtamarichka 8 months ago
@iamtamarichka And no where in that scripture does it sau that because someone else has sinned you are given a get out of loving free card. Jesus commanded that you love your neighbor, bless your enemy and forgive everyone. Loving is our job. Judging is God's job.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
@blessingwaypath so if you have brothers or sisters you never ever confront them if they are doing wrong? You just let them go down the wrong path never to try and point them in the right direction? If they were about to walk in front of a train wouldn't you pull them from it? That is love, and sometimes its harsh but it is love. Jesus loves us but he does not tolerate sin. He continually reminds us in the scriptures about who will inherit the Kingdom of Heaven and who will not.
iamtamarichka 8 months ago
@iamtamarichka The moment you begin to judge someone you lose any power of persuasion. I would much rather interact as a non-judgmental, loving Christian than to tell them they are going to hell . My job is not to point out who will not enter the Kingdom, but to behave in such a way that I am guaranteed entrance. In that way, God can use me as an instrument of persuasion. The other way, I become an instrument of hate. Love changes people. Judgment hardens them.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
@blessingwaypathYou do realize that in addition to God's love and compassion, He is also just and holy.God's justice compels Him to judge and punish sin/evil he doesn't just sweep it under the rug and say "boys will be boys" .He is also Holy which means he can not co exist with sin He is wholly set about from it.In fact God's holiness is the moral characteristic most emphasized in scripture
jmanexpress 8 months ago
@jmanexpress Of course. I also realize it's God's business, not mine. You folks sure are eager to do God's job for Him. Too bad you're not even more eager to love. "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment that you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? "Matthew 7:1-3
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
@blessingwaypathyou see this is the problem I have with you, as soon as I mention Characteristics of God that are confronting or features of the Gospel that people may find offensive you just lapse into “stop being judgmental” you have to accept that Gospel will be “ foolishness to those who are perishing” once again we go around in circles,

Scripture also said God is love and that he forgives sin. Instead of being so keen on being his earthly representative in the judgment and condemnation department, why don't you try asking for a gig in the love and forgiveness department?

@blessingwaypath I am not judging anyone, that’s not my job, but I am obligated to teach/preach the word in its fullness, If you don’t you do people a greater disservice, by either giving them a watered down gospel, or a false/incomplete conception of God
jmanexpress 8 months ago
@blessingwaypath you are already judging those you accuse of judging *grins* Jesus told people to repent. So therefore shows there are things to repent from. Jesus was the ultimate form of Love and look what we did to him. What you just said is you do not want to confront anyone as to assure yourself a place in heaven, yet are willing for others to go to hell for your comfort? The Gospel must show us our sin before we ever can understand the need of a Savior. That is the good news!
iamtamarichka 8 months ago

God is amazing and can bring you out of any sin by His grace
iamtamarichka 8 months ago
(RESPONSE 4) MacArthur is clearly a Calvinist, which is fine if that is what he wants to believe. What I have been trying to say throughout the course of this discussion is that the time has come for us to stop fighting among ourselves about religion. To call the President a non-Christian simply because he does not follow the same Calvinist beliefs as MacArthur is like saying only Baptists can go to heaven and everyone else is hell bound. It does nothing to help anyone. It only perpetuates hate.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
(RESPONSE 3) Calling a sin a sin is not hateful, but categorizing one sin as worse than another is. Sin is sin. Plain and simple. Jesus came to save us from our sins. Not just some sins. Not just those we don't participate in, but ALL sin. You cannot judge one sin as unforgiveable and another as a minor offense. You cannot have salvation simply by your definition of what you want to be saved from. Jesus came for all sinners, not just those you have deemed respectable.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
(RESPONSE 2) A true Gospel presentation does not start with condemnation. It starts and ends with love. Scripture does not say that God so condemned the world, he sent his only begotten son. It says he so loved the world. To portray a hateful God in order to justify feelings of hatred toward that which is not understandable, does nothing to advance Christianity but only divides and separates. Frankly I would rather go to hell than spend eternity with your God. I feel so terribly sorry for you.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
(RESPONSE 1)Yes, @jmanexpress, you are obligated to love all people equally regardless of sexual preference. The greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself. The command does not stipulate that the neighbor must frst be heterosexual. It doesn't even say he need be free of sin. You are simply to love him. Not judge him. Not condemn him. Not even save him. Just love him as you love yourself. Not my words. Christ's.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
Nor do you need the aforementioned PHD @jamexpress to understand Jesus' purpose. Jesus came to save sinners, not condemn them. He commissioned followers to spread the Good News, not blackball others. You have continually insisted on making this discussion about homosexuality when that is not what it is about. Can't you see? Arrogance and hatred hidden behind scripture is still arrogance and hatred. The Word makes it no sweeter. My prayer is that someday you'll realize that. .
blessingwaypath 8 months ago

“66 is the answer!” that makes no sense on its own, but when you give people the equation…..30 +36 =…now it makes perfect sense.Christ dies on the cross as a substitute for me, to bridge the chasm between a Holy God and sinners
jmanexpress 8 months ago
@blessingwaypath (PART 2) Now me and my homosexual have the same problem we have both perverted the gift of sexuality that God has given us, me through my heterosexual lust, and him through his homosexual lifestyle, we both need the saving and transformative power of the Gospel.
jmanexpress 8 months ago
(PART 3) A true Gospel presentation must start with a sense of condemnation, which is prompted by the realization that God is Holy we have violated Gods perfect, holy moral law, because God is just the wages of that violation (sin) is death and hell, I certainly don’t deserve heaven, nobody does. Once people understand the dilemma, that there is an insurmountable chasm between a Holy God and sinful man, then we can talk about how Christ dies on the cross to bear the punishment, we deserve
jmanexpress 8 months ago
Furthermore, CBALLEN, my posts were never in reference to homosexuality, but rather to MacArthur's claim that the President is not a Christian because he does not follow the very narrow guidelines established by a select few . There are 2.1 million Christians in the world, and over 38,000 denominations, including Catholics, Methodists, Unitarians and others whose doctrine is not in agreement with MacArthur's.And he freely condemns them all. You don't see something funny with that?
blessingwaypath 8 months ago

Oh, yeah, it says they shouldn't throw stones.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
The Bible tells us that homosexuality is an abomination. Leviticus 11:10 says lobsters are an abomination. Guess that means MacArthur doesn't eat lobster and condemns those who do. Deut 22:5 says women wearing jeans is an abomination. Uh-oh. And what about Deut.24:4? According to it, Mitch Daniels wife is an abomination. Do you suppose MacArthur has a youtube video planned for her? My point is scripture is supposed to be a handbook on how to live not on whom to judge.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
@blessingwaypath Many laws that existed in the O.T. were for Jews only, homosexuality is condemned in both the new and O.t.,STOP TRYING TO MAKE PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT AN ABOMINATION IS OK FOR CHRISTIANS,YOU ARE A WOLF.
CBALLEN 8 months ago
@DallasNeedsADentist. If rebuking homosexuality was the only meaning behind MacArthur's statement then why is the video entitled "MacArthur Calls Obama A Non-Christian?" Rebuking sin is one thing. Judging others as sinners and condemning them to hell because they have a different viewpoint is another. Apparently heaven is a very small place. There only seems to be room for MacArthur and those few who see through the same judgment-colored glasses as he,
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
John MacArthur is - as usual - so right on this.
tamething1 8 months ago
@jmanexpress, Jesus told us to eliminate the sins in our own lives rather than to pass judgment or look down on others. For if we judge other people harshly, we will, in turn, be judged harshly. Therefore, MacArthur's words "dramatically oppose scripture." Romans 14:10-13, 1 Corinthians 4:5, Matthew 5:21-22. 2, Timothy 3:2-7. Taking scripture out of context to support a conservative viewpoint does nothing but divide. God's grace is for all, not just a select few.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
@blessingwaypath - Yes but that doesn't make homosexuality okay. John M. is merely rebuking a sinful act. God made it very clear that it is wrong because it is an abomination. This does not mean that "God hates fags" as many so called "Christians" claim. It just labels homosexualty as a sin and just like any other sin it is forgivable through grace if you accpet Christ. What I'm saying is that homosexuals should try to obstain from any kind of sexual activity and stay single, focusing on God.
DallasNeedsADentist 8 months ago
@blessingwaypath You don’t need a PHD in hermeneutics to understand the biblical stance concerning homosexuality is. It’s crystal clear in scripture. There is a vast difference between an attitude of judgmentalism with is self righteous and arrogant and judging acts by the word of God, which is the criteria. the verses you sighted to support your argument show a lack of appreciation for context and interrupting the bible holistically (systematic theology)
jmanexpress 8 months ago

And lest we forget, Jesus did not instruct his followers in the ways of spiritual arrogance and self-righteousness, but rather in the ways of love and forgiveness.
blessingwaypath 8 months ago
@blessingwaypath obviously its not anyone's place to judge a persons relationship with Christ ,however a true christian who has a love and reverence for Christ and the word of God, I don't think would be making statements like this that are diametrically oppose to scripture.

"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

I JOHN 8-9, "Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love." We hate all sin regardless of what it is.

He spent his time preaching the Gospel to all those he could possibly reach.
uncosu84 9 months ago
@uncosu84 why do you use the love of God as a way of justifying unbelievers? Billy Graham and Obama are not true Christians.you sound catholic, why do you not also talk about the wrath of God against sinners?
If you were to go to Obama personally and tell him that he is doing a fine job and God loves him then you would be a murderer of the soul and you would simply send him back to the world justified in his sin.
I suggest you go listen to some Paul Washer sermons.
HackerzInc 8 months ago
@HackerzInc These are my final words here: Jesus(God) took his own wrath upon himself. Thankfully, Billy Graham, Barack Obama, and I, a poor, unknown farmer, have passed from fear into love. We are all well aware of our sin, are ashamed of it, and hate it, but we have been forgiven. I look forward to spending time with both men in eternity.
Any man that stands in judgment of another man is treading on dangerous ground. I'll leave that job to God.
uncosu84 8 months ago

A "gay christian" is an oxymoron with an emphasis on the moron.
johnhagermusic 9 months ago
It is a choice as with any sin. We decide whether we will partake of that sin or not. The Word of God says, Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7 The problem is that people are not resisting and being strong enough to fight the temptations until he is completely gone. To live means to fight..
