why the fuck would you customize it? If you mean like change engine parts and suspension and forks and stuff internal then why? it would surely ruin the moto gp racing feel of it? I doubt you can make it any better. and unless you mean external things then its beaufiful enough as it is.
Yes it is alot of bike for a first! I didnt learn to ride on it, as I did take a bike course so as to get licensed but that was only minimal riding time and it was on a 250! lol so when I jumped on this for the first time and opened up the throttle thinking foolishly it would be similar to the 250 I was in for a huge surprise! lol my head nearly snapped off and tears streamed from my face (visor was open) as it went from like 5 mph to 95mph in what seemed like 2 seconds!! lol, I love it though
You are absolutely right, however there are those few things that make it even sweeter! Carbon Fiber this and that, slipper clutch, Air Horn for LA's dumb ass drivers, Carbon Rims!!! etc. Im still working on it, Thanks for the comment.
I have a Vespa and ride it like I stole it! For that matter, considering the absolutely pathetically slowly manner in which most sportbike riders ride here (Toronto, Canada), I'm generally faster than them through corners! Got a sportbike too tho (VFR)! Sweet ride tho! The Termis are a MUST IMO!!! Am considering a Multistrada for my nxt bike but cos its a commuting tool for me and needs to be totally 100% reliable, I think i'ma go w/ a R1200S instead
HOLY nice bike!!, grabbing that baby as my first bike also =) just little worried about the insurance =( which insurance company gave you the 1,400 quote? may i ask? imma be pennyless after insurance and rent ROFL D=!!!!
Hey whats up, your gonna love it! the torque on it is amazing, feels like your heads gonna rip off..lol The insureance was through Culver insurance they're the broker (949)461-0800, They set me up with a policy from Lincoln General Insurance for $1,400 a year full coverage including uninsured motorist, with $500 deductibles! Comes out to a little over $100 a month. Have fun and ride safe.
Sorry to disappoint you Marvin but it is indeed a 2008 1098s. I gave my deposit in July, received it in August and saw them open the crate in which it was shipped from Italy, I even have the Original MSO confirming it to be a 2008 model. Thanks for the look.....RETARD... LOL J/K
No, the "s" version comes with smaller pipes and black metallic cans that look "ok", But I want to go all out on this bike so I asked for the full Termi system to be installed at time of purchase. The upgrade was $2,700 plus labor. But it adds about 12 horses plus sounds waaay better, as well as gets rid of alot of excess weight and emissions crap.
$2700 american, because i live in canada, and im thinkin of buyin a 1098s in the next 6 months as soon as i buy it i want the full termi system. And one more thing is the insurance killer?
Yes, $2,700 American Dollars. The Insurance is reasonable, This is my first bike and Just got my license and I got quotes from $1,400 to $2,200 dollars american for full coverage insurance for a year. so its okay.
Yeah, do something wrong and your dead. I hear about a lot of guys who buy 1000's, even 600's and kill themselves the first day. Happened just this last summer around here.
went 201 on one of those... scary as fuck

if you want to really customize it....polish the ports, have the head flowed etc etc. then you can say yours if different.

Was the termingnoni pipe stock, or was it after-market? Or did you choose it when you bought it.?
