For anyone who is having trouble finding super mutant overlords carrying this weapon, here's an easy and almost guaranteed way to find one. Fast travel to the Citadel, follow the left wall along the outside, and you should come out to a small open area where a turret is shooting at an overlord who has the Tri-Beam Laser Rifle. I tested this myself and it works everytime as long as you are a high enough level (I think 20) for overlords to appear.

these things hurt like a bitch when the overlords shoot you wth them because of their base 120 damage that ignores DR. Seriosly playing on very hard at lv 26 with 67 DR I went through vault 87 and their were 2 tri-beam overlords that screwed me up.

Ur not a noob, but a newbie (theres a difference). U are just new to this game =)

Its not auto regenerate, I simply have Stimpaks assigned in a hotkey. So when I press it, my character uses one Stimpak (this is available on all platforms).

For ammo, watch my video called "Unlimited Caps&Ammo".

I have New Vegas and played It until the end and one thing I notice right from the beggining Is that you are underground for a lot of time which in New Vegas you rarely do.

Im enjoying the game and what DLC should I start first?Im thinking of Operation Anchorage.

imo the Tri-Beam lazer rifle would of been better if it hadn't been a shotgun, but a rifle the same as the normal laser rifle, but shooting 3 beams instead, doing triple the damage.

@GENERALandy313 I've got my energy weapons maxed and I have yet to find a good use for the tri-beam. Sure it fires 3 shots at once, but unless you're firing it point blank at least one will miss, which means wasted ammo and damage. I'd rather hit someone with the metal blaster.

That makes living things start to dance. Usually used for entertainment, but if a person is in danger, he can make them "groove" and shoot them, as they don't retaliate while dances. Can only be obtained by cheating (if you pause at the part he had his Groovatron highlighted, you can see it says "File Not Found.")

if u want to make use of ur ammo use the gauss rifle its the best cause highest damage for mf cells. (I use tri cause i have 15000 mf cells) but between metal and tri beam, use metal its better for ammo and ect

finish the Death From Above quest (Broken Steel quest), then begin Shock Value (Broken Steel quest), then do the optional "Talk Scribe Vallincourt" so she can give you the Enclave Deathclaw Control Scrambler, which allows enclave controlled Deathclaws to give you combat aid.

you know i got the GOTY ps3 version and i found another overlord inside the museum of technology in the room but the planetarium. i basically went to the planetarium and accessed the comp here the quantum is and exited trough the room ont the other side... if u pass it thees an overlord with the tri-beamed laser rifle
