I was alive in the last years of the 90s. This makes me remember all that. used 95 as my main computer until 2004. I still have a prisitine 1994 CTX EzBook 700E with 95 on it.

Windows 95 was a great operating system... but it wasn't the future (not talking about XP/vista/7) really, it was a bit simple Compared to Amiga OS with al its features..

I used this OS when I was 3 or so, and my parents got Windows 98 soon after. Am I the only one who played Humungous Entertainment games? Back then, that's all I did. I also remember messing around with the background and screensaver on Windows 95 and the themes on Windows 98.

Windows 95 is a 32-bit capable DOS extender, and can be installed without an existing OS because it contains the three or four MS-DOS 7 disks as well as the extender.
