Melancholy, but so very beautiful, because of the conscience that somehow defies the sense of mortality. And how right you are about the Generals and their "bleached out dollar bills"...
@Caspar33 I love those lines too Casper...love love...And wise words of yours...I guess the garden has seen it all before...and unlike grumpy me...accepts it !
For a moment @2:13 I thought the fallen leaf was a dead canary. (I don't know why I look for dead things in your videos.) Your garden is wonderful, but it surprises me that everything is still so colorful.(considering how cold your summer has been) -Steve-
@OceanTownPictures it is like a canary...now that you mention it...I agree...Dead things ? Well a lot of my poetry is dreary...I keep wanting to reflect my 'sunny' nature...lol....which I kinda have...but the dark always seems to find its way out...Maybe it is easier to write...and I just need to improve !!
@andrewnorris2 as I said to Ida...the garden looks a bit bedraggled now...we have so much wind ...and grey and cold...the toms never ripened and so on...not a good year !! I must get back to your last Andrew...it stuck half way thro and I meant to get back to watch again...will do,,,
Kristine, I started just loving your garden but watched again to listen carefully to the words - I wish you sunshine and peace. Hell, I wish it for all of us.
@thizizliz aS i said to Ida....The garden looks a bit bedraggled now...we have so much wind ...and grey and cold...the toms never ripened and so on...not a good year !! Thanks Liz...k

Well, once I lived the life of a millionaire,
Spent all my money, didn't have any cares.
Took my friends out for a a mighty fine time
Boot leg whiskey, champagne and wine
Then I began to fall so low,
Lost all my good friends had no place to go
If I get my hands on a dollar again
I'm gonna hold on to it until the old eagle grins
It's a strong image for sure. And the gloom is certainly wall-like . I guess the garden has seen it all before and just accepts. Strange isn't it?
