  • your turbine is too heavy, its inertia has stopped the blades from opening. You should try check-valve turbine design, like this one youtubedotcom/watch?v=M0V0GXYeFgM&feature=player_embedded

  • Wow, 2500 watts is a lot for a vawt. Good luck!

  • How much power do you make with that? Maybe 300 watts?

    That is certainly very unique.

  • @MrPizzaman09 I am in the prosess of biulding a 2500 watt generator that i'm going to install on it . it seems to have plenty of power to pull it. im curently expanding the dia. to 30ft also. can't have to much power !!!

  • Even though someone might think it's slow, that any large system is slow, I live by some "giant" windmills, horizontal type, and they take about 3 seconds to rotate once.

  • Looks ok.I imagine lots of torque on this type of system, that can be converted to speed if needed using gears.I'm not sure how your system works: Either the wind is opening each blade/collector withough any effort from the other blades/collectors. OR, maby rig up some wires so that when one blade closes due to the wind, it will help pull the one that the wind is opening faster and vice-versa. I think there have been some ideas like that being passed around, but not tested on a large scale.

  • Thanks , its a experament that seems to work well . but i still have some tweeking to do to it. you know how that is !

  • looks great, out of the box ideas that makes the world spinnnnn..

    regards
