Pshhh we aren't running out of addresses, just NAT it and you will be fine!... Gotta love how it's because of the ISP's that we are at this stage. Lord knows they just don't want to upgrade their equipment when they charge us out the ass for their crap service.

When it comes to ISP service, I envy Japan :(.

@sandite5 They're talking about EXTERNAL addresses, not internal ones. NAT is just forwarding ports regarding a specific static IP address that's used INTERNALLY on the network. We are absolutely running out of IP addresses, as IPv4 only uses 32-bit addresses.

It's rather humorous that we're at this stage at all. It has been known for over a decade that we would run out of addresses. The past 5 years has been screaming about the well running dry. But now, everyone is like, OH! WE HAVE NO ADDRESSES! >.<
