In Australia, the VFR1200 is $24,000! The VFR800 is $14,000. I don't care how good the 1200 might be, it's too expensive and doesn't sound as good as the 800 either (in my opinion).
I am looking to buy the DCT version and love your review. However, some are telling me they prefer the Aprilia Mana 850 GT. Which is better? I mean I want it more for the commuter purpose, but once and a while I want to open it up! also I still want the feel and look I get from the street bike. I can no longer ride a clutch after an injury to my left foot.
I like the idea but it would have probably sold me if it had the manual gear change on the left foot still. I have enough trouble with indicators and think if the current place for gear change isn't broken why try fix it? I tried the BMW K1300R with quick shift and loved the upshifting, could have seen myself on this bike if it was similar.
My dad sold a cruser he bought brand new last year becouse he has carple tunnel on both hands.having problems squeezing in the clutch, and I told him about this bike and he got realy excited. Not so much after i told him the price here in America is $16,000. But still its a cool thing for people like him and lazy peoples lol. I dont see why not buy a bike like this, I always have cars with manual shifting my self though
@SilentPrayingmanTis Well, I guess so. My colleague have problem with nerves in left feet and he have problems with shifting. Especially with the up shifting move. He too looked excited about this, but a prise is really something. I thing that this will be reason why he really will not consider it.
@motorcycleluke I know, that is what I told him. But still, he is looking for something really cheap. For that I told him, that he wont find anything with auto-transmition and cheap (his idea up to 2000€ :) ). Anyway, one thing I really love on MANA is that idea with trunk where fuel tank normally is. I think that could be a future in bike design. I mean if you have a commuter, then decent storage place is really a blessing. You can have Topcase, sure but still. With Mana it looks better.

How does it behave when you drive very slow throught turns?
(I heard that it changes to neutral at very low speeds sometimes which makes it unstable...)

@Tugar747 Try the Aprillia Mana, its a lot cheaper, not as good a bike or system in my eyes, but not bad for price!

definitly not sold on the idea, changing gear using the clutch is all part of the experience. Autos are for lazy yanks
