Show me a single unbiased long term study proving that vaccines vs no vaccines shows true effectiveness. In fact the data is overwhelmingly supportive of the contrary if you do your own research. @TheNativecali I'm not a doctor, nor am I familiar with your son's case history, so I can't really comment on his specific case. It is possible that he's one of the few people that aren't able to be vaccinated (usually because of a compromised immune system or allergic reaction) and so is forced to rely solely upon the secondary protection afforded by everyone around him being vaccinated. How would you feel if your child got measles because the kids at school weren't vaccinated even though ...

Are you trying to tell us that it is impossible for a 16 month old child to have its first seizure on the day of a vaccine? I would venture that the chances are about 1/500 give or take that any particular day might be the one.

Did you guys here something about congress passed a law that would protect these corporations from law suits of people seeking damages from their toxic vaccines? If this is true, that's not good for not only the obvious but because they will soon be forcing people to take vaccines! How in the hell are they going to force us to accept poisons and then ban us from suing for the inevitable damage that the shots will bring and cause to many? One group of people is injected with a flu vaccine containing aluminium, mercury and formaldehyde.
The other group is injected with a saline solution, takes 5000 units of Vitamin D3 a day, and eats a healthy diet with lots of organic fruits and vegetables.
Monitor both groups for at least six(!) month later and see which group has more health problems. Finding volunteers for such a study would not be a problem at all!

@outofthisworldgurl The law I believe you're talking about was done in response to the swine flu outbreak, and only dealt with that specific vaccine because our government was forcing them to release it before it had been fully tested. It has no effect on any other vaccine being put out at the time, nor any future vaccines. Japan is actually a perfect example of anti-vax claims utterly failing in tests. The initial claim was that it was the combined MMR shot which was causing autism. In Japan they actually stopped requiring that people get the MMR jab, and predictably the vaccination rate plummeted. What resulted from this? Not only were autism rates completely unaffected, but they began to get measles outbreaks. They changed to individual shots instead and autism rates were still unaffected.

Wakefield was absolutely paid by a lawyer to find a link, that's a matter of public record. Its also on record that he had already patented exactly the kind of vaccine for MMR that his study "just so happened" to recommend.

In his presentation, he was talking about reducing the population by decreasing infant morality because as that rate goes down, family size also decreases since parents can be more certain that their children will reach adulthood, and one way to decrease that mortality rate is to increase vaccinations. Amazing what happens when you take arguments in context, isn't it?

Measles didn't necessarily always kill someone. It caused inflammation of the brain which caused retardation in most cases. Plus, considering that we have hospitals and medical care in 1971, we could keep individuals from actually dying from measles. The amount of cases for measles though, weren't significantly dropping.. Only the mortality rate.. And the vaccine came out in 1973.
However, as SOON as this anti-vaccine crowd came to prominance and people stopped taking vaccines, measles outbreaks started killing people in Denver and Japan and many other places while autism levels stay the same.
There is a difference between telling the truth and being mistaken.. especially about a potential pandemic. There are also sometimes mistakes with vaccines. This is called human error and is an error against 'fallible' humans and NOT the vaccine process. Besides, one batched vaccine does not mean that all vaccines are bad. After all, the MMR vaccine has saved multiple lives. Same with the polio vaccine, My 2nd cousin worked on it with Jonas Salk.

If what you say was true, there would have been a 'gradual' decline of cases of the disease. However, after the polio vaccine, there was a drastic drop of cases of polio. Directly after the polio came out polio, cases of polio dropped 95%. How can you honestly say the polio vaccine had no effect? ESPECIALLY when the diet of the American people today is worse than ever. (We have more fast food restaurants than anywhere and our per capita of obesity is very high)

The peer review process just means that ANYONE can review the work that is within the same field. That's ALL it means. It does NOT mean that there is a select group of scientists who are the only ones allowed to review work.
People who are unvaccinated are vulnerable to the measles virus which causes retardation due to the inflamation of the brain and sometimes it causes death. Also, when mercury was removed from vaccines, the amount of autism did not go down. It actually increased and the only reason it HAS been increasing is due to the spectrum itself of what we consider autism has increased.
And also... animal viruses? WE ARE ANIMALS. Do you even know how immunology works? If our body contains a WEAKENED version of the virus, it can learn to defend itself against the virus. That's how it works.
Also.. aluminum salts only cause, at most, skin irritation. That's it. No actual harm.
Formaldehyde in vaccines prevents the virus from spreading and duplicating. It is essential and the small amount wont kill you or even harm you.

You really have to look no further than other countries like the UK which have similar autism rates to us, but don't have thimerosal in their vaccine schedule. If thimerosal were a factor in autism cases, we would expect to find that such countries would have much lower autism rates which just isn't so.

Thank god over 93% of babies are vaccinated. I work in the health industry & encourage parents to have the free boostrix vaccination for themselves asap after giving birth. Yesterday my city lost a baby to pertussis it's been on the news. What a horrible painful death.

I do know that I don't get the flu with a suppressed immune system each year while people around me have it.I also know I haven't had pneumonia since I've got a pneumonia shot either.Lucky? But mercurate in vaccines is measured in ug, and concentration in ug/dl. 0.5 cc is equivalent to 500000ug of mercury, or the equivalent of the ethyl mercurate of 400 MMR shots at once. A vaccine, like any medicine, has its risks because anything that can cure/prevent a problem can also cause a problem. These risks are small though, especially when weighed against the good they can do. @TheNativecali I'm not a doctor, nor am I familiar with your son's case history, so I can't really comment on his specific case. It is possible that he's one of the few people that aren't able to be vaccinated (usually because of a compromised immune system or allergic reaction) and so is forced to rely solely upon the secondary protection afforded by everyone around him being vaccinated. How would you feel if your child got measles because the kids at school weren't vaccinated even though ...

@TheNativecali Vaccines inserts do not say stop getting vaccinated if you have had an adverse reaction to any vaccine. They say do not continue if you have had a reaction to that particular vaccine or one of its components. Those are completely separate propositions.
Are you trying to tell us that it is impossible for a 16 month old child to have its first seizure on the day of a vaccine? I would venture that the chances are about 1/500 give or take that any particular day might be the one.

I venture that there is no worse thing for quality of life than death and it is indisputable that childhood diseases have killed more children worldwide in the past century than vaccines have injured.

One group of people is injected with a flu vaccine containing aluminium, mercury and formaldehyde.
The other group is injected with a saline solution, takes 5000 units of Vitamin D3 a day, and eats a healthy diet with lots of organic fruits and vegetables.
Monitor both groups for at least six(!) month later and see which group has more health problems. Finding volunteers for such a study would not be a problem at all!

@outofthisworldgurl The law I believe you're talking about was done in response to the swine flu outbreak, and only dealt with that specific vaccine because our government was forcing them to release it before it had been fully tested. It has no effect on any other vaccine being put out at the time, nor any future vaccines. Japan is actually a perfect example of anti-vax claims utterly failing in tests. The initial claim was that it was the combined MMR shot which was causing autism. In Japan they actually stopped requiring that people get the MMR jab, and predictably the vaccination rate plummeted. What resulted from this? Not only were autism rates completely unaffected, but they began to get measles outbreaks. They changed to individual shots instead and autism rates were still unaffected.

In his presentation, he was talking about reducing the population by decreasing infant morality because as that rate goes down, family size also decreases since parents can be more certain that their children will reach adulthood, and one way to decrease that mortality rate is to increase vaccinations. Measles didn't necessarily always kill someone. It caused inflammation of the brain which caused retardation in most cases. Plus, considering that we have hospitals and medical care in 1971, we could keep individuals from actually dying from measles. The amount of cases for measles though, weren't significantly dropping.. Only the mortality rate.. And the vaccine came out in 1973.

There is a difference between telling the truth and being mistaken.. especially about a potential pandemic. There are also sometimes mistakes with vaccines. This is called human error and is an error against 'fallible' humans and NOT the vaccine process. Besides, one batched vaccine does not mean that all vaccines are bad. If what you say was true, there would have been a 'gradual' decline of cases of the disease. However, after the polio vaccine, there was a drastic drop of cases of polio. Directly after the polio came out polio, cases of polio dropped 95%. How can you honestly say the polio vaccine had no effect? ESPECIALLY when the diet of the American people today is worse than ever. (We have more fast food restaurants than anywhere and our per capita of obesity is very high)

People who are unvaccinated are vulnerable to the measles virus which causes retardation due to the inflamation of the brain and sometimes it causes death. Also, when mercury was removed from vaccines, the amount of autism did not go down. It actually increased and the only reason it HAS been increasing is due to the spectrum itself of what we consider autism has increased.

And also... animal viruses? WE ARE ANIMALS. Do you even know how immunology works? If our body contains a WEAKENED version of the virus, it can learn to defend itself against the virus. That's how it works.
Also.. aluminum salts only cause, at most, skin irritation. That's it. No actual harm.
Formaldehyde in vaccines prevents the virus from spreading and duplicating. It is essential and the small amount wont kill you or even harm you.

You really have to look no further than other countries like the UK which have similar autism rates to us, but don't have thimerosal in their vaccine schedule. If thimerosal were a factor in autism cases, we would expect to find that such countries would have much lower autism rates which just isn't so.

@HealthRanger7 I did read the entire letter you sent, and even the most rudimentary fact-checking would show that it was filled with the same anti-vax propaganda, conspiracy theories, fallacious arguments, and shoddy evidence so common to anti-science movements.

Main stream medicine will ALWAYS deny ANY possible link between vaccines and autism! How many parents would still vaccinate their kids if they admitted that there was a link? None!
If you want to find the truth, dig deep. Don't just avoid information because it does not line up with your paradigm.

movement was a complete fraud and created by someone who was incredibly financially motivated to "find" a problem with the vaccine, or that thimerosal was removed from childhood vaccines years ago yet there hasn't been so much as a blip in the autism rates (as there should have been if it was a cause).

@ArcanaKnight A double blind LONG TERM study could hypothetically prove the safety of vaccines.
But guess what? These have NEVER been done!
Any doctor who dares to undertake an independent double-blind study on the safety of vaccines will probably lose his job shortly thereafter...
Case in point is Dr. wakefield's study examaning children with high mercury levels and autism-like symptoms. He was sued, stripped of his license and his study got deleted from the medical journal...

@HealthRanger7 Right, it was all a vast conspiracy against him because he did that study; his gross ethics violations, faking of the data, and undeclared financial conflicts had absolutely nothing to do with it I guess. That's also probably why nobody has ever been able to duplicate his results either, and somehow is also why Wakefield himself refused to duplicate his experiment when given the chance.

@HealthRanger7 Tests like that haven't been done only because it would be entirely unethical for a doctor to knowingly endanger their patient by allowing them to go around falsely believing they've been protected against these diseases. Just because double-blind tests aren't able to be done doesn't mean that vaccines are untested though. Anti-vaxers could just as easily run well designed, performed, and analyzed tests on the vaccines themselves, yet to date their tests have been CONT

Every single claim made by anti-vaxers has failed to stand up to scrutiny, but instead of reevaluating their original assumption that there is a problem with the vaccines, they just move onto the next ingredient or even move to vague claims like the new agey "toxins"

They haven't even done the investigation yet to see if the shots were the cause; at worst its probably going to turn out that the most recent batch of shots they received was tainted somehow. Anti-vaxers are quick to make unfounded claims that its definitely the shot's fault, that the link will be covered up, and that any future deaths which are "sure" to follow will be ignored.

Thank god over 93% of babies are vaccinated. I work in the health industry & encourage parents to have the free boostrix vaccination for themselves asap after giving birth. Yesterday my city lost a baby to pertussis it's been on the news. What a horrible painful death.
I always tell parents to research the data. 3/4 come back and say they've decided to vaccinate. There's just no valid reputable data for non-vaccinations. I also tell them to google Andrew Wakefield. It's all quackery.

Children under 2 years old are very sensitive to their mother's/parents subconscious state. They pick up any stress, material desire, pride, fear and etc. from their mom. What are the consequences?
