  • Bruce Lee?

  • He seems to have overgrown bones in his shoulder joints. It's not necessarily common but it can lead to severe spinal injury, especially to the neck and upper back. He also seems to always be looking down towards the floor to correct his balance or to alieviate pain. But I agree that your cat is not of the Devon-Rex, but it's possible to have it corrected by surgery

  • the cat doesnt like the collar try take it off

  • he may have a inadequate amount of spinal fluid to keep his spine straight which is why his shoulder blades are so far away from his spine.

  • Wow! I 've never seen this before. Thanks for putting it on and I hope he does well in life.

  • You cat seems to have normal movements. But by his constant stopping maybe of the fugitive of his shoulder blades. He may not have alot of endurance Either. is a Heredity issue. I don't see much of discomfort, so fracturing is a slim chance to none.

But just for thought has the cat gotten into any sort of injury? involving his front limbs? It could be friction or just a shifting if he was injured.

  • aww : ( poor baby

  • it looks like his shoulder blades are really big

  • its probably just has high raised shoulder inputs. retorically; its not a problem, i wouldnt actually say its a birth defect. probably genetic, unfortunate that you addopted her, (you might be able to get a strait answer if its genetic by a quick glance at the parents).

  • i think tha cat is sad. sometime he doesnt want to play

  • cute cat!;D I think u should take her/him to the vet unless u did an they said nothing then maby thats how he/she is born like that but I think its normal because thats how all cats are when they move thir front legs.

  • its uhhh a little creepy but idk im sorry

  • its like hip dysshagia but in the shoulders...don;t let her outside!!

  • It's called genetic mutation. She is trying to be a lion

  • It looks like it has dislocated shoulders to me.. =\

  • Maybe malformed shoulder sockets? Do they click when you rotate them? They aren't broken, she would be in a LOT of pain and not interested in toys ;) They don't seem to bother her much now, she might need surgery in the future though

  • thts kinda grossing out but prob just bones broken good analogy DarkSonicSilver +1

  • I think one of his/her bone has broke

  • Cute kitty :(((

  • your cat is so cute, i think just her shoulderblades are to big, and she wasnt supposed to be that tall. Causing them to just come up and seems like she doesnt mind too much.

  • aww I ♥ ur cat. i just hope watever iz wrong w/ her doesnt hurt or bother her in anyway...shez sooo cute

  • your cat bone is overgrowned that why or something like that

  • Great cat man....Wish it leads a long and healthy life

  • I think that cat is a gift from god. I personaly love cats, I have four cause they are my fav. type of animal. I was reading your description and vet's dont know that much. I am only 13 yrs. and I watch Animal Planet, Discovery Health, and alot of other things that have to do with health. I practically know more than them but I dont know whats wrong with the cat. I still think it wonderful and I would love to have a cat like that. I hope you get answers! Bye!

  • wow so watching animal planet, discovery health and that stuff makes u and expert on animals? ur an idiot for saying vets know nothing, they would know alot more then u, they went to uni to study their degree, there degree is similar to studying for a doctor. U need to grow up you silly adolescent child

  • It was suppost to be a joke, god. My step-aunt is a vet, I love her, I should've wrote 'LoL' or 'jk' after I said that about the vet. God ya'll take everything so seriously!

  • lol i liked your joke

  • grow up

  • I want a cat like that.

    Name him Arnold.

  • I'd say look into a disease known as lamadalines (spelling?). It's a bone disease in humans that causes bones to grow abnormally like that... maybe there is a kitty version of it? At any rate, as long as it doesnt hinder him, or hurt him, your kitty should be fine, regardless of what it is.

  • My What A Lovely Kitty!

Seems To Have Some Siamese In Its Looks?

(i cant spell that xD sorry)

She Seems To Be Very Happy,So As Long As She`s Enjoying Her Life Whith You,Im Sure She`ll Be Fine! (I Have New Kitties Too!,Yay Me! ^w^)

  • CrazyAmy555, this cat is a MALE.

  • your cat is so beautiful. it has bright eyes, a fine coat and beautiful markings. it seems to be able to function fairly normally too,so jst take extra special care of it and luv it all the more. jst lik i do wit my cat. she had a troubled birth and her back legs dont seem to operate right.her balance is awful, standin without fallin is hard 4 her. but we love her lik a baby bcoz she's so diff. hope your cat has a long and happy life with u

  • nuthin to worry about. its normal! Im sure it doesnt hurt it or anythin but u should take gud care ov it. It looks lyk its got big muscles! LOL

  • poor kitten kat

  • it does have some arm problem thing but thats not something that you could make fun of... o well... its really cute

  • it's buff >.>

  • oh dear big shoulders

  • it looks like it has something to do with the line up of the back bone and the shoulder

  • disformation*

  • i would say you cat has a bone disformanion. it looks as if your cat just has large shoulderblades

  • it looks like hes gonna fly away o.o

  • u suck

  • The space between the cats shoulderblades reminds me of those old fashion rubber coin purses, you guys remember that? The ones you had to squeeze to open? lol You can have a kitty bank!

  • Aww, poor thing! It looks like it has extra lage shoulder blades. I can see your cat isn't too happy about it either! I hope there is help for your kitty!

  • may be his arms are just weak i hope she feels better soon

  • AWW poor kitty :( hopefully the vet can fix it! made me right sad :'(

  • i'm 99% positive that what i saw on bbc was like your cat:) sorry for my English I'm from greece:) Hope i helped..

  • because the brain receives too much emotion that can't handle and that chemical is responsible for not letting completely our muscles "shut down". So if that area don't produces enough of that chemical in humans u can see them faint in front of you but they are conscious but they can't move.. the same thing happens with animals... but they can move when that happens.. but not completely just barely move...

  • yeah i know.. i was watching a (how do you call it in english i don't know) let's call it video from bbc.. and he was talking about a human area in the brain in which the area is responsible of producing some kind of chemical that is produced when the brain receives TOO much happiness or saddness or stress. when it receives one of those emotions it makes that chemical in order for ur brain to continue "managing" ur muscles.. because when we laugh most of the time we move slow..

  • It Kinda looks nasty OO

  • i dunno but its so cute! ^__^

  • whoa! wuts up wit its shoulder?!

  • yea it doesnt matter if anythings wrong with ur kitty alls that matters is that it is health and likes you no matter how strange it is

  • Awe he's a cutie...I don't see anything wrong with him. He looks happy and healthy and that's what matters. :-)

  • i think that`s a hiena :))))

  • Dude... really who cares? If your cat is living a healthy normal life then why do you care? If your cat is pain from it then seek real medical advice for it not a youtube comment. If anything it looks like the cat is fine to me. So just let it be and if it is pain go to anther vet. Maybe a different vet can give you an idea unlike the first one you visited.

  • i'm a vet ok when your cat sleeeps does it sleep on its back or what is so email me wright away cause I think I know what it is or reply on this youtube thing hope I can help.

  • eough your kittys back is really weirod what do you think it is!!!???

  • looks like shoulder displaysia?

  • If you feel anything 'smooshy', or really soft where the shoulder blades are intact, then there is something wrong with your kitty. There is a possibility that a cist could be growing behing the shoulder blades. I recomend you find another vet. Some cats have are double jointed in there shoulder blades that could cause them to look like they are protruding from the skin. Listen for a popping sound, if you hear that that cat is fine. I would consider that as a talent!

  • you cat seems pretty healthy to me... i dont know anything about animals and stuff im just a teen... but i have 2 cats at home...

your cat seems pretty energetic and normal... maybe its shoulderblades are to big for him/her?... or maybe its spine doesnt conect as far as it should? i dunno those are just guesses... i wouldnt worry about it too much enless it starts acting weird... :/

  • your cat is playful and alert. Maybe your cat is not completely normal but then ... so what? You enjoy your can and your cat obviously enjoys life. NEXT!

  • the shoulder blades are abnormally larger than most, i have 2 cats, and im in college training to be a vetrinarion.

  • jac0bk8 - I didn't know veterinarians couldn't spell their own job! lol!!

  • maybe he needs paxil...

  • PART 3 >>>> Maybe you are right maybe he was hearing impaired, it's possible, but he responded to me calling him so I'm not so sure, but vibration could be the reason. IDK...lol

  • PART 2 >>>> Not constant meows, but if I call him he meows, or if he is jumping from the table to the floor he has to annouce it. When he is sneaking around he's quiet tho. Cats are really a trip. If he dies, I'm through. But he even kind of nursed my other cat along, and still....nothing. The cat that passed never spoke and I have seem him try but hardly a sounds ever.

  • No something was wrong with him no doubt, when he would stare his head would move like a drunk person, ah, my pal I miss him, arrgh, LOL....but yes my cat that I have now (for 18 years) talks all the time at everything, and follows me in the street without a leash, people stop in their cars and all cause they never seen a cat respond to commands like a dog, but he does.....but he talks too much.

  • meh, doesn't matter, as long as it's happy, playful, healthy, and can't feel a thing on its bak then that's all that matter. but seems like nothing wrong....ur cat's behaviour is normal is just the additional bones or skinnyness...maybe.

  • i've only seen this once before, and it was in a pet iguana. there is a unclassified birth defect that i read about the talked about abnormal muscle and bone generation. is it bone or muscle?

  • May you should send this to the ASPCA in New York on 92nd street and ask......something is not right, I had a cat and I know something was mentally wrong with him and he could not talk at all and had this far away dreamy look all the time but he loved me to death and I loved him too, I miss him a lot too, he is gone now. I used carry him around in my shirt pocket then he got so big he would weigh down the covers on the bed so I could hardly move LOL.....I think I made myself sad :(

  • ¬¬ obviamente el gato es inteligente eso es loq le pasa... simplemente tiene mas masa gris q su dueño...

  • i agree if he's happy then let him be happy. if u love him then you wont care. (not saying you dont love him but just sayin dont worry)

  • if he is healthy and he's feeling alright leave him alone. i think tigresssssa is right, but as long as that doesn't affect him don't bother too much!

  • Thats no normal cat...of course yeah its a persian kitty but near that end when the stringed rabbits foot was waving from side to side it wasn't even moving its eyes...it was like it was in a trance...you need to see if there are any demons in your house...or spirits...ive got knowldge that normal minds will never understand...trust me, cats are half in and half out...

  • It looks like he it has hind legs as front legs too.

  • bone cancer

  • i dunno i think it looks pretty cool haha

  • em he can't see

  • I forwarded this to my boss to see if he can give any suggestions. Yes, I do still work at a vet. If i get a response from him or any feedback i'll let you know.

  • I've worked in vets for nearly 20 years and have never seen this before. It may be a congenital deformation which there's nothing you can do about. It may also be due to a malnutrition deformity. I suggest you get x-rays done and submit them to a radiologist for a consultation. You will have to pay for the consultation, but you may get answers you need. Good luck. Beautiful (sia)mese ^-^

  • He looks perfectly fine to me, except for the enlarged shoulder blades. Your kitty's going to have big, big angel wings when he goes to Heaven! Haha He's so cute!

  • my cat has the same problem... get an x-ray done and see what happens and like what alot of ppl are saying...he/she may have lager shoulder blades and may be in pain everytime it walks so do not make it move around alot it may just get worse if its in pain that what my vet says for my cat and he still woundering what it is i hope my cats vet info helps...

  • byson cat ^_^

  • The shoulder blades look too big for the little kitty

  • Not at vet at all, but those shoulderblades look very odd, same with how the front is raised and the back is lowered, as if he tries to avoid the pain, or irritating feel.

I assume your vet is a professional, but I'd advise asking someone else as well. It is energetic, but to me it seems he can't use that energy and playfulness due to the shouldblades. Maybe not enough skin, so its skin hurts. Just ask opinions from various people, especially vets.

    Keep us informed =).

  • Im not a vet but i can tell you the problem with your cat. It has large shoulder blades. see how one shoulder blade goes up then down? thoes r large shoulder blades

  • i think you should leave that damn kitty alone.

  • i has big shoulder blades.

  • HE'S WOP SIDED!!!!!!!!

  • He's a very beautiful cat. I'm not a vet, (although I'd love to be one), but that cat is in obvious pain. I agree. Get his shoulder blades X-rayed. he might have over sized shoulders. Also, it looks like something is wrong with his ribcage. Keep us informed, and I hope everything comes out OK. )=

  • its got wings!!!!!!!!!

  • what a special kitty!

  • Well I am no vet but et his shoulers x-rayed, if there seems like no promble just watch him, it might just be nothing, a normal birth defect. I have three cats with birth defects, He doesn' look that bad to me acully. Yeah spelling.....it is horrable i type fast and don't care ( i ment mine)

  • Try getting a brace around it's chest and shoulders :) like a vest, to keep the rib cage from hanging, of course ask the vet first if that is even applicable because I'm not a pet doctor XD it looks like it's shoulder blades aren't fully attached to it's rib cage :( or either it can't support it's ribs. Why don't you just carry it for now :D I think it will appreciate it more than trying to walk :)

  • If he seems like he's in pain you should take him to the vet. Otherwise, I'd say he's just very unique looking :)

  • If you think something is wrong... take him to a vet!

  • Now picture it with no fur.

  • notin iz rong wit it it just haz big shoulder bladez

  • is it's shoulder bones misplaced?

  • they look like wings very cool cat

  • man i dun think its freaky it looks cool LOL

  • He or she is a gorgeous cat, and I think as long as kitty's not suffering and you love him/ her, that it's not a big problem.

  • they're called SHOULDER BLADES you fool

  • as long as the cat has a good personality and is loving , to me it doesnt matter what he looks like!:)

  • It could be a winged cat. Google it. It's just a flap of skin that grows in the shoulder area that gives the impression of wings when the cat runs. The skin flaps up and down.

  • cool, i heard about the wings i think there cute

  • First of all, how old is ur cat? If he's old, it could be that he doesn't want to move because it hurts or if he's young, he may be lacking something in his diet that's causing his shoulders to look hunched and his upper spine to look collapsed. The more info. I get on this cat, the more I can tell you.

  • that look scary

  • strange! looks like he has very big shoulder blades.. dont u have vets where u come from? maybe u cant afford it or something like that?

  • Read the Description, And you'll see the man said his vets didn't know what was wrong, OBVIOUSLY he has taken the cat to a vet, or is it you that has a birth defect with your eye sight?

  • mebbe its insane. or maybe youve hit his face with a ball of fluff too many times.

  • a birth defect like u said, but nutin to worry about11 u could bring to a vet get fixed m,aybe.

  • I think it's fine, but just has slightly built up muscles on the shoulder area...

  • cute cat. If you haven't yet, have it checked out by vet. The special feature that your cat has may give him some amazing abilities. I have cats with a curly tail and that's not wrong, it's just different. - vive la differance!!!!

  • your cat is double jointed in the shoulders...nuff said!

  • he's growing wings ! how exiting

a nice angel cat .fly kitty fly

  • lol cats are the devils pet :D

  • He's probaly just getting use to things how long have u had him?

  • that cat is one CUTE kitty:)

  • It's Very Common Star0157

  • you have one weried cat lol

  • Dont worry, there isnt anything medically wrong with your cat, she/he is just double jointed or has the ability to "shift" its shoulder blades from place. It isn't really all that common in most cats, but it can happen. I would look into getting another vet though. I'm still in school and even I know that there is nothing seriously wrong. :)

  • I agree, some cats have weird and wonderful abilitys but theres never anything wrong with them

  • Your kitty looks like he has spasticity, a genetic problem that sometimes shows up in Devon Rex cats. They do have trouble eating, and other problems you might like to do some reasearch on. There are some health lists on yahoo that you may be able to ask questions and find someone who has had a cat like this before.

  • shoulder dysplasia?

  • it looks kinda thin...feed it.

  • GROSS!!!

  • The double jointed theory is possible.. Cats' shoulder blades are not jointed like the hind legs are to the pelvis. Maybe the ligaments and muscles holding the shoulder blades are more elastic than normal. Just love him and give him a happy life. :)

  • Awwe ow I hope that that dosnt hurt the beautiful kitty.

But don't worry thats nothing to what i was looking at earlier. at least she/he dosnt have to faces. (not that that is a bad thing) but anyway he/she is gorious =]

  • What a beautiful kitty you have! Funny shoulders, tho. haha

  • What's wrong with her shoulder???

  • he's double jointed. I used to do that, parent was scared, found out I'm double jointed

  • He double jointed dnt worry. It might save his life some day :)

  • obviously your cat just want attention..lol... jus watch his behavior and if it seem to cause him/her discomfort contact you Vet.

  • what's wrong with ur cat? well, he seems to have a shorter than average tail... lol, jk, i think it's wat that 1 guy said about him having double jointed stuff.

  • It appears to have double jointed shoulder blades, just not a big deal if you ask me!

  • Looks like the kitty has wings trying to sprout.

  • If it doesn't cause him discomfort or keep him from doing cat-ty things, (chase a ball, sleep, poop, etc.) it's no more than a visual problem. You can name him "Quasimodo" to lighten things up.

  • everyone's unique

  • really if u ask me idk what the hell is wrong wit yur kittycat!thats gross

  • whats wrong with a vets

  • probably just with the spine, nothing big, cuz it doesnt seem to affect your cat's playing, walking or standing

  • The cat may be a product of inbreeding. To prevent the continuity of this mutation, either do one of two things: 1)destroy it, or 2)have it spayed/neutered.

  • anyway your cat is cute!!!! ^^

  • has the vet taken x-rays? cause that would show

  • ur kitty just has a winged scapula no worries

  • Just a problem in his spine is all. He seems to be active and playful, so its no biggie. Plus he is a pretty cute suggaly boo. (thats what I call my cat)

  • I don't know what the cats condition is, but, he is still gorgeous. So long as he is happy and healthy, looking a little different should be a problem, if you look at a lion or tiger, they have similar large shoulder muscle bulges. Plus the fact you love him, and he loves you is all that really matters anyway! He is beautiful really!

  • it seems 2 b active so i wouldnt worry 2 much and if id have to guess looks like some sort of genetic defect 2 do with the muscles around the shoulder blades which make them pretude more so it may not b 2 bad
