The only thing I have to factor in is how well he would handle the main path. I tend to think this biggest disadvantage would still be that Pein kneqw Jiriaya's techs, and Jiriaya knew nothing of Pein.
I agree with you about the 4th cuz, in my opinion, Jiriaya woulda defeated pein had he known about the other paths, since he manage to kill a patb 4 times before dieing, and there's only 6 to kill. So minato coulda won too.
That's true , but if I had to take a guess, I'd say minato was the strongest. Not because I've seen him fight, but of all the hokage, the writers almost seem to respect him the most. Not to mention, when discussing the hkage, Naruto called him "the greatest", and Kakashi states that only Naruto himself can surpass him.
The 4th was also called the greatest shinobi ever to come out of the leaf village. Then again, the 3rd was called the strongest hokage, and the 1st pwned Madara, which is implied to be more then Minato could do, so I think all the hokage get renowned when the plot demands it.

in the manga, itachi didn't actually kill orochimaru, he sealed his soul into a legendary sword, which puts anything it hits into "a blissful illusion for all time" or something along those lines.
after all the build up on orochimaru's character its pretty disappointing how he gets defeated and dies, he doesnt even really have a fight that defeats him, im not going to tell what happens becuz of spoiler to other people, but yeah after all the build up they gave to orochimaru, i thought he would at least go out in like a 10 episode like fight, with either sasuke, naruto, and jiraiya defeating him

The 4th was also called the greatest shinobi ever to come out of the leaf village. Then again, the 3rd was called the strongest hokage, and the 1st pwned Madara, which is implied to be more then Minato could do, so I think all the hokage get renowned when the plot demands it.

this was sad.. the hokage always wanted orchiamru to change back and be good the way he was when he trained orichumaru as a kid. he gave oruchimaru so many chances to turn back before this fight, and even in this fight, he would allow grace.

in the manga, itachi didn't actually kill orochimaru, he sealed his soul into a legendary sword, which puts anything it hits into "a blissful illusion for all time" or something along those lines.

after all the build up on orochimaru's character its pretty disappointing how he gets defeated and dies, he doesnt even really have a fight that defeats him, im not going to tell what happens becuz of spoiler to other people, but yeah after all the build up they gave to orochimaru, i thought he would at least go out in like a 10 episode like fight, with either sasuke, naruto, and jiraiya defeating him
