  • and how is this working..

a litle tesla power for brushless = a big tesla power for brushed

in fact not the tesla power is equal...

the real power of motor - Watt

  • Where did you buy all that stuff..

  • do you happen to know what means 5.5t on brushless and 21t on brushed ?

  • @noyz2k I would happen to know what that means.

  • @noyz2k - Tesla, maybe? A unit for magnetic field strength?

  • 36 seconds the rectangle to the left of the wood is an esc

  • There is some really dumb questions on here

Neutroninvention, probably but it will run flat out depends on motor but probably would work

tattoopoe, He probably has it hooked up to a ESC, electronic speed control acts similar to a pot often battery, esc, motor combos are available check out hobbyking as a shop.

Elamin008, communicator not core, less wear and more effecient power usage less arcing etc)

    roboman79, measuring the current (amps)

pal8383, NIMH or LIPO, again hobbyking for batteries

  • hey!i got 2 questions for u...

can I only use the positive and the negative wire?

    will is still working?

  • please what is the potentiometer you use to run the motor.

    thanks

  • Whats the difference from a bursh motor and a burshless one?

  • brushed motor has brushes attached to the core to drive it but it also causes heat and slow it down , brushless has no brushes so it's faster and cooler :)

  • @bluebutdude1 0ne has brushes

  • @bluebutdude1 brushed motor has like 2 arms that make contact with the spinning part of the motor and brushless motor has no contact with anything except for bearings

  • Was the meter reading RPM's?

    Very cool!

  • no he was reading the current

  • wat kind of battery power does it need and wud this motor be ok for bikes?

  • wtf? 17000 rpm?

  • Well very well... I have a similar platform. ... but for a projecto of a system antitorque different...

    Looks my videos and thinks...

  • look mine video is like your project!!!!1

  • hola mira mi video ... es lo mismo pero un poco mas grande..

  • whats a good site for a beginner on brushless motors? i want to make my own but something i could use for an ebike / glider can a diy be made as large as an etek?

  • just buy a cheap hobbycity outrunner some produce 950grams thrust, like one i have(not from hobbycity) its a TurboRix BL2215/25 its 920kv runs at 3c produces 32oz of thrust its like a park 480 motor.

So this is a kit outrunner? nice job! she makes some noise lol

  • I think that you are testing the wrong amps. You should be measuring from the motor's side, after the esc, not the battery's amps!

  • I agree. Both are good to see. But motor amps are critical to know the true load on the motor.

  • What is the biggest advantage of a brushless motor on an RC plane? it is the abilty to use high voltage or just longer life? or less weight?

  • less weight, higher rpm, same voltage, more torque (power) simply put, the new standard =)

plus! the brushes don't wear off, cuz there aren't any ;-)

  • Also, due to it's coherence with processors, it is more precise and efficient.

  • Nice testing setup! Very cool. So that's peaking at over 300watts and sustaining at about 180watts, generating 500-600g of thrust? I gotta build me one of those!

For your thrust measurement, could you just connect it to a 2kg weight, zero the scale then measure how much vertical pull it can produce? If I had a scale I'd try, don't even have an amp meter tho.
