  • holy shit this was absolutely amazing. I love the cover, you have lots of feeling into it which is key!

  • Wow man!

  • hey great cover...could you break down that break down you do in between verses and chorus and put it on here

  • Great Job dude. Certainly better than I can do!

Might wanna double check a lyrics sheet though LOL.

  • You are by so far the best I've seen on you YouTube with Dave Matthews that it's not even funny. Completely natural, totally into the song, no pretense. I couldn't imagine it being done any better, and that goes for every DM song I've seen/heard you cover.

I haven't had a chance to look into your original stuff yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

  • Hey man, awesome Dancing Nancies cover! You really rock it! I like to cover this one too! If you get a chance to check it out, let me know what you think!

  • wonderful cover here!

the voice is a little different from dave, but your singing indeed amazing!

  • ummm wow. that was sick

  • quite a show there ... :) awesome style. I've just started learning this song. Hopefully i'll be playing it as easily as you do in no time! xD

  • Dead serious dude. I'm very impressed both with the super cool jamming and a killer voice on top. Kudos many times over.

  • this is really fucking good

    shit

  • Where can I get a tab somewhat similar to this? I know you improvised alot but this is so damn amazing I must learn how!!!!!!!

  • that was soo goood : )

  • fantastic man- thanks for posting. now i've got to work on learning this song, just wish i had your skills!

  • Nice job best cover of this song I've seen on here especially like the bend you part you put in sounds like a fill I've heard Tim do at that part really nice work hope you dont mind that I'm using your version as a blue print for learning to play this

  • One of my all time fav songs and thanks for playing it so awesome! you rock

  • good cover

  • awesome dude really sick!

  • dude u sound great. keep up the good work

  • nice dude

  • You must have spent countless hours listening to L@LC. Absolutely amazing. It would make Dave himself smile. Keep it up...please

  • Awesome job.

  • i love playing this song, you are better than me though.

  • i love that song, and you sing it wonderful!! what a voice!! well done!

  • you have an amazing voice! wow! and you're quite talented on the guitar too...i'm way impressed. i saw DMB in september and they were amazing. i love your cover! you rock!

  • Thanks very much. :)

  • Thanks for the great video and good fucking job! Been playing guitar for a year now and I'm in the process of learning this song. This was a big help! Cameramen are stupid and when they film Dave they never focus in on his strumming and fretting, so it's difficult to learn from. Thanks again.

  • great job man i love the little variation you do on the 2nd chord in the verse playing that the way timmy does...

  • Same here man -- Dave is my inspiration too -- great beats and awesome lyrics -- out of curiosity, how long you been playing?

  • I've been playing for about 8 years. How about you?

  • It'll be 2 later this year...tho i about every 3-4 weeks i feel like i keep getting better -- i have trouble with most of his fast songs, like the warehouse -- the beat is just to fast for me to strum and sometime i feel like the pick is gonna fly out of my hand.. i hope to get better at that

  • i remember how that feels. try and remember that speed comes naturally with practice. its one of those things that you cant really force. try and challenge yourself, but dont push your boundaries, or you will get too frustrated.

  • i dont know this song but its still very cool

good job - no great job - ok----EXCELLENT!

  • You do know this song! I think you've jammed with me and bri several times to it, hehe. Thanks for the comment, though. :)

  • just out of curiosity, what is your method for getting a song down? personally, i find this song EXTREMELY hard to sing and play at the same time. i can never get the timing down. how did you go about doing it?

  • One thing that I find helpful is to watch Dave's playing - if you watch his strumming hand, you'll notice that even when he's not hitting notes (and just muting) he "keeps the beat" in 1/8 or 1/16 note patterns (I don't claim to be an expert in music theory, by any means... correct me if I'm wrong). This song is in 4/4, and I just try to remember that my right hand will keep time for me in 1/16 notes as I sing.

  • Another tip: try tapping your right hand in 1/8 and 1/16 notes along to this song while singing at the same time; then try playing along with the guitar. Hope this helps! :)

  • sure does, thanks alot. its great to find someone on youtube who's not a jerk. lol. and by the way, do you think you could to "tripping billies" sometime? that would be great.

  • I have been thinking about doing that song lately, actually. I'll definitely try to get on that as soon as I can.

I do agree that, based on a lot of the comments people leave on each other's walls, there are a lot of jerks floating around. So far I haven't encountered too many, but I'm sure I will soon lol.

  • ahh, nice, dude. i have an ovation, too.

  • Yeah, they're great guitars. It would sound even better plugged in, but I don't have the equipment for that yet...

  • yea, the funny thing is is that my ovation doesent have an electric function. its solely acoustic. weird, huh?

  • yea, that's interesting... I wonder what year it is - do you know the model #?

  • Man! Your guitar's incredible.

I'm kind of thinking about start learning the guitar.

You're definitely somebody to look up to!

  • Thanks! Dave Matthews was my sole inspiration at the time I started learning.
