  • This was great. I need to do some repairs on mine and was really nervous till I saw your video. Thanks so much. GREAT JOB

  • WOW! Thanks, your correct, very little info out there. Yours is the best I have found. We got a '95 26' Wilderness like yours for $500 because of roof damage, so your video is a huge help to see what we're in for. You are an inspiration for us!

  • thanks

  • This video was very informative. Thanks for taking the time to film this while doing your repair. I will be doing a similar repair on my camper soon. Maybe I'll post a video as well. You SHOULD do it for a living! Take care.

  • You did a great job with the video, the commentary is right on (sheeet, I should do this for a livin') and obviously a good job with the repairs. I think I would have gone ahead and done away with the particle board stuff all the way down, though, since you have it all exposed anyhow. Also, keep an eye on the two metal strips you put at the front and rear. The caulk line will let water stand and the caulk line will eventually fail. But yeah, you could do this for a living, man.

  • How big was your RV? We have a 40ft to replace.

  • @anniebird54 sorry for the delayed response, I dont log on to youtube much. The trailer was 24 ft.

  • You did a great job..Congrats

  • @TheDman216 thanks you

  • Thank you very much for this video and the time you put in it!!!

  • Thanks man. Just what I needed to know. Just one question. Why didn't you replace all of the plywood? It seemed like if you had it all torn apart you would just replace it all.

  • what about the rubber i want to do my trailer now where did you buy the rubber i heard not to go to rv thats its the same as you can get at a roofin supply house.

  • @sass1972 hey sorry for the late reply, I dont check my youtube much, anyway, correct dont by the rubber at a trailer place youll pay way way to much. Go to a roof supply place and buy the rubber 15 year roll, I forgot the name, but it is used for flat roofs, thats the one you need. take care

  • Thanks for the vid...I have just about the same situation going on. I may be back with a question or two. Should I post them here, or send you a message?

  • thank you!!!!!

  • What is the thickness of the rubber? My camper is parked under a tree and due to stormy weather I was wondering if theirs a chance that small tree limbs that fall off can cause a leak.

Good video but I need more.

    Thanks

  • Aw, c'mon man! You left the most critical part out.

I'm a carpenter so I can do all the woodwork, but I need some pointers on the rubber repair.

What are the specs on that stuff? Product name?

Also, should the seams of the ply be sealed prior to rubber install?

Not all of us have pals at an RV center. LOL!

Awesome video though and if nothing else, thanks for giving me the courage to take on the project.

    Gave you a thumbs up!

  • How Much..and How Long? did it take you to complete this project? Thanks Oh yea..It looks great! you did a good job! Also, how much did the dealers want to repair your roof for you?

  • hello there thank you so much for making this video it does help a lot. I live in an old motorhome and it is starting to leak and it is really frustrating

  • Thank you for your video. I am looking for a motor home (Cheep) and I found one that needs a new roof + + + This video helps me decide if I want to do this. I think I will, since my business is so slow right now. Thanks for your imput. How much did it cost you vs what the dealer wanted to do it?
