Sorry, I don't see any deceit, they just put her on saying the same words she used in the first ad. I do however, see a lot of lies on the vote no ads, like trying to tell people they will never get the equipment they need and so forth, there are a lot of states that have no collective bargaining and they are dong just fine. I live next to a firefighter and I'm tired of seeing all the new toys he keeps buying on my dime.

If you have read, understood and agree with everything in the entire 304 page issue 2, then I have no problem with someone's intelligent decisions. @Vanyell75 Issue 2 furthers the assumption that politicians are = to heads of corps & should dictate to labor or heads of corps will dictate to politicians how the Gov. should operate. The only form of Gov. that works like a corp. is a fascist dictatorship. Maybe the real issue is that our politicians should be encouraging job growth .

@jdoggtwo Yes, this is well spoken. We have to remember that much of the telemarketing on these political issues are targeted at specific demographic areas. In other words, citizens in Dayton or Cleveland (for example) may  never see all of both sides of the ad campaigns because they don't waste their money in un- winnable markets.

Wish I had the pay and benefits those firefighters have (paid for by my taxes). They bring up good points that 43% better pay for firefighters than average people and that doesn't include the benefits they get. I can't afford to keep water turned on and taxes are soon to come around again on the house. I am sorry, but some government needs thinning. You just can't make a society that lives off the people so large and not expect it to collapse after a while. Well it is collapsing.

Using this grandma’s image and speech is NO DIFFERENT than when they used Joe the Plumber in various ads during the 2008 campaign season. Once you are captured on camera & you give permission for it to air on the People’s Airwaves, your image is public domain, unless you’ve taken special steps to copyright the image (like actors on TV shows)

I live in a different state and oppose MANDATORY state unions because fat bloated lifetime pensions for the people at the top are bankrupting the states. I am a taxpayer advocate and support small government. However, I agree that this ad engaged in 'dirty pool' and is a total misrepresentation. Both sides should clearly present their cases based on merit. Also, the Bill itself is deceptive because it is stated in the negative. Many people who vote 'yes' are actually in favor of unions.

What Building a Better Ohio has done in their ad is what's called "taking something out of context." It is virtually always done in order to mislead people, and it is shameful. I wonder if Marlene Quinn doesn't have a legal case that could be made against BBO, given that the ad does give the strong--and completely wrong, possible hurtful & emotionally distressing--impression that Ms. Quinn supports Issue 5 (SB 5).

The argument she's being falsely portrayed as making in the stolen ad doesn't even make sense. In what universe would fewer firefighters ever make a positive impact on the chances for a fire victim's survival? Perhaps the people that made this ad are hoping people won't even read the ballot and will just blindly cast a "yes" vote.
