Wow. Years ago, John Sebastian (of The Lovin' Spoonful) was doing a radio show here in L.A. called the Good Time Music Show. I remember one night he actually talked about the Marxophone because he used one on the song "She Is Still a Mystery," It was hard to picture from the way he described it and I've always wondered what it looked like. Thanks for sharing.

I own a Marxophone as well. Mine has mostly original strings, but I was forced to improvise and use guitar and banjo strings. It's also missing the nameplate. Thank you very much for posting this!

This is the best performance I've ever seen on one of these oddball mongrel instruments (tremoloa, ukeline, marxophone, etc). Thanks for sharing. It is indeed, as you say, a "perfect marxophone."
