  • dis my first time raise microworms for my betta....where u put the microworm, in the fridge or anywhere out live room

  • does it matter what kind of oatmeal i use??? or do i have to use regular?? i only have the flavor ones left

  • I'm new to owning bettas but I don't know wat to feed him on a regular basis please reply!!!

  • is yeast 100% necessary?

  • would want to ask you,do u feed your fry microworm until they can eat pallet?do they survive?or do u have to take turn in changing their food, such as microworm then the next week bbs.tq.

  • WOW., Wonderful., I never use MicroWorm for any of my bettas when breeding, i feed the baby my other live food.., but your VDO is very useful :)

  • doea the microworm die? what if u save it for like a week or 2??

  • Are there frozen mealworms? And if so, will betta fry eat them?

  • how do you keep your side of the culture wet?

mine always goes dry and then the microworm gets dry.

    please tell

  • im from the philippines . I have a week old beta fry . I dont know where to get a cultured microworm to st for it.art microworm culturing .is there any replacement

  • Can i start a culture without having a culture already?

  • @yuseifan No, buy one and then keep it going like the video shows.

  • Cooking oats? Waste of time unless you plan to eat part of it for breakfast later on.

  • any recomendations for preventing mold my colony is just about dieing(I am getting worried)

  • where did you get your micromorm starter culture?

  • @cherrymypie123

    Ebay is the best.

  • can i use rice for instead of the wheat?? where did u get the micro-worms from????

  • is this the one with the old guy on the box?

  • whats cream of wheat?

  • what are the ingeedients for the oat meal

  • is this microworm can feed in newly freeswimming fry?

  • what if i do not have cream of wheat?

  • @ELEPHANT0KING sorry for late response but, u can always use yeast =)

  • good video. It helps, I did it

  • i live in Australia ,is oat meal porridge??

  • yeah, close enough.

  • @boxsterwelby Why not put them straight from your finger into the fry tank?

  • @watchmyshoes22

Because the microworms may have some bits of oatmeal on them. And you will not want rotting oatmeal in your tank.

  • @thatfishbreeder That makes sense I'll probably do that with mine too then. With mine for 1 of the cultures I mixed 1/2 cup uncooked baby oatmeal 1/2 warm tap water and placed the starter culture on top. They started climbing in the same day and are about an inch and a half up the walls in 2 days!! The other one I did the same thing with instant mashed potatoes but with more water and growth was a little bit slower but they are about 1 inch in 2 days but not all around like the oat meal.

  • @watchmyshoes22 you probably got this answered but it's for cleaning the microworms off. If baby fry get ahold of oatmeal and that yeast, it could kill them. So you have to clean off the oatmeal and stuff off of the microworms :)

  • @boxsterwelby Also how long does it take to get the new culture running?

  • @watchmyshoes22

    About a week

  • @thatfishbreeder small grain baby oatmeal* Oh and I also used yeast

  • do micro worm cultures stink?

  • give me all the listening.......plz..and also where did u get all the stuff at........

  • hey how do you know when to feed microwarms to your fry? on what exact day?

  • Well it depends on which type of fish ya got....if you have livebearers(fish who give birth to live fish not eggs) than you can feed them starting from the first day....

If you have egg layers(fish who lay eggs which will hatch a few days after hatching)

will need to be fed green water,infusorians,etc....for about 1 week and then they can be fed microworms

  • umm.. well this is what i heard 3 days from when theyve hatch and after that every 4 hours it sucks i know.....

  • lol...

  • are these nematodes harmful to humanhs?

  • I don't think so, but then again I wouldn't eat them.

  • I have a question of what you can feed microworms too? I am going to breed guppies but I heard that microworms fall to the bottom of the tank instead of float. Does this mean that I cant feed microworms to my guppies because I heard guppy fry would rather eat walter or vinegar worms because they float.

  • Microworms, banana worms, vinegar eals, and walter worms are all nemetodes of varying size. They do eventually fall to the bottom, but not before getting eaten by your fry. Also they live on the bottom for a bit before you would suck them out and do a water change.

  • You are amazingly helpful! Thanks so much for posting this video! You make it sooooo easy!

  • Thank you!

  • can you make your own micro worms

like if dont have any to put in

  • n e 1 know where i can get them in toronto?

  • Try ebay.

  • nice vid! but where do u obtain the micro worms?

    Pet store ?

    Wild caught?

  • you have to buy a culture, then you can reproduce them forever. I can sell a culture to you for a couple bucks if you want.

  • is there already micro worms in there ?before u put the oatmeal in there?

  • o and a question just wondering was there already microworms in the container?

  • thnx really helpful 5 star *****

    answear all my question^^

  • thanks for the positive comment! It's nice to know that it helps.

  • do you change or clean the container every 2 weeks.......I use brine shrimps, are the microwrms better?

  • I make a new medium every week or two depending on what it looks like and add a tablespoon of the old to the top. I use microworms for the first couple weeks and then switch to brine shrimp.

  • u asian ryt? wer u from?

  • dad is from thailand

  • don't use my video to sell you stuff. Make your own video.

  • where i get a microworm culture here in finland?

  • Try off ebay, but you may not be able to get them because of customs laws.

  • what's microworm in chinese?

i'm in hong kong and i don't think they'll understand lol

  • lol, they're called nemetodes.

  • hey nice vid. what starter culture are u using?can u pls tell me what it is.

  • You can purchase a culture off ebay for a few dollars. I use a microworm culture to feed my fry for the first few weeks and then add in baby brine shrimp and other foods.

  • aaight thanks. the only thing i feed my fry is

powder flake. so thank u for this.

  • i cant start a cultures!...

  • HAHAHA...chopstix

    nice...

    I use chopsticks too

    lol

    -N30N-

  • I would have, but I stopped shipping for the winter.

  • Do you ship your cultures off eBay to Australia?

  • lol i was gonna ask the same question as the one before me, but there u go. interesting :)

  • what the heck is a micro worm ?

  • very small worm used to feed baby fish.

  • i have the same problem i have the stuff u have but i dont have the culture yet how can i make the worm so the baby fry can eat if you can please write back and explain to me how to do it and i have good fighting fish that i want to reproduce.. thank very much

  • if u don't have any culture is there a way to start the process from scratch? i have 1-2day old fry and i have fry food from a aquarium/pet store that they use for there fry (all kinds). but i just don't think it'll be enough... then i heard a egg yolk? i want worms... lol how can i get them???!!!???

  • so its ok to use cream of wheat?

  • Yes, cream of wheat, wheat germ, oatmeal, potato flakes...etc.

  • could we just use cream of wheat without yeast??

  • Yeast is not needed to keep microworms.

  • so i could just reculture them by just putting my existing culture in the cream of wheat??nuthing else??right???

  • Yes, you can follow what I did in the video, but with cream of wheat...and less the yeast.

  • so i could just do wat u did but with out yeast and stuff right?

  • Yes!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

  • aye is it ok to use cream of wheat to reculture the micro worms?

  • this works for me thankyou! a question is how long do they live?

  • As long as you change the medium every couple weeks you can keep them going forever.

  • can you not cook the oatmeal?. just put water in ster it until is moist and add in the micro starter culture?. will that work also?

  • Yeah, that should work too.

  • They are 3mL graduated pipettes/droppers.

  • what was that TUBE thingy call .. the one that u suck up the worms from the CUP.. im tryin to find some

  • is it ok if i just use bread instead of oatmeal?

  • I have not personally used bread, i'm sure it would work because of the bread ingredients. Try it out, let me know.

  • how long does it take until the microwarms crawl at the side of the jar?

  • THe worms I have start climbing in less than a day, but in general it can take 4-5 days.

  • very good job. I just did that like 10 mins ago...
