A lot of creativity went into designing this place but none went into naming it. I mean c'mon, it's totally mundane and forgetable, and its acronym unpronouncable. At a minimum they should have gone with 'The Mec' for Melbourne Exhibition Convention. But what they should really do is embrace the centre's colloqual name, 'Jeff's Shed'. It's grounded, personal, refreshingly uncorporate, and memorable.
